Quaint guest house with a great location. Large room on the third floor that was quiet.
Rooms ensuite, clean, well equipped, good location close to city
Very noisy with students passing up to 4.00am; bed not comfortable; breakfast room was very drab
Fabulous atmosphere. Lovely people and very accommodating. Great selections at breakfast. Highly recommended
Affordability & location
The room was a bit sad - very plain decor, unpainted walls, a single piece of (bad, childlike) art on the walls, & accordion door to the bathroom
Clean, helpful staff and good location
Breakfast poor and small room
Very old fashioned
The breakfast room is not properly aerated for the frying smell..
The only plus for me with regards to this guest house was its location.
It is difficult to know where to start. This has to be the most depressing guesthouse I have every stayed in. It is old fashioned outdated and stale. To stand in the supposed 'ensuite' bathroom, I had to keep one arms down, that was the width of the bathroom. I think that in its day, it was probably a fine premises, but it needs a major overhaul to bring it into the 21st century
friendly staff convenient location for UCC spacious rooms
you'd expect breakfast to be included in the price - it is a B&B after all!
Breakfast on a Sunday I was told not served after 9am. Room small .
We stayed in family guest apartment. Wish we stayed longer, wonderful accommodations!
1) Front desk person was not helpful. 2) Food was average at best. 3) Limited parking. 4) Bed was small. 5) No TV. One TV station! 6) Front desk person said they would help with clothes that needed to be washed. Still waiting for that!
It was walking distance to the city centre for shopping and dining. It was also across from the university.
We stayed two nights in Cork and we conveniently got a studio with a small kitchen in another close by building. The studio was fairly spacious and clean. The Guest house is in front of the Park of the University of Cork and about 15 min walk to the city center. Free parking and wi-fi.
Ample off street parking and location is okay
The rooms are a bit dark and depressing but beds are comfortable
Helpful staff. Comfortable room
firmness of the bed - nice staff
very old smell in the room, as if not used for a long time - the size of the room doesn't justify the price at 100 euros per night
Breakfast! Lovely quality- very filling. Staff were lovely and friendly. Beds comfortable. Rooms clean and very spacious.
1. Currency conversion charges by bank or B&B- better off paying in agreed cash price. Other small niggles ( I am fussy) 2. Room a bit chilly in the eveing and no way to adjust. 3. No phone in room so couldn't call other room where mum was. 4. Very creaky floorboards over room 12 and traffic noise from main road if you are a light sleeper. 5. They didn't book my less able bodied mum into a ground floor room when I had asked.
Beds were comfortable Good breeze in the room
Bathroom - simply terrible. Not in the city center as advertised. Breakfast was too expensive for what was provided.
the location is excellent - very central and allows easy access to the city.
the bathroom in our family room was very small and the sliding door wasn't very secure.
The staff were very helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The location was close to the centre of town.
On the website it said I could get into my room by 1pm on the day of arrival but when I got there at 1.30 the room was not ready and this slightly spoilt my plans for the afternoon, The room and en suite facility were very small and hard to move about in.
Very central and had car park at the back
The cleanliness, the staff so helpful and cheerful.and the excellient breakfast menu
10 minute walk from city center Clean Accommodating staff
Wifi didn't work well Walls are so thin I could hear the guy downstairs farting Horribly uncomfortable mattress, didn't sleep a full night any of the 4 nights I stayed there
Location is easily accessed across the street from the university and relatively close to town, with safe off-street parking. Proprietor was very helpful and nice to talk with. Wifi capable, but within limited locations on the property.
No elevator and our room was on the top floor. Lots of steps with heavy luggage to traverse. Located on a busy street, so there was a far amount of road noise.
