friendly and helpful people. a beautiful room with history
sounds coming in from other rooms
Excellent value for money Variety on breakfast money had a lovely quiet room Staff were friendly but not intrusive
The people there are always very nice to me. The location is good for going to UCC. It is very good value for money.
we were upgraded to an apartment that was plenty spacious and had our own kitchen and everything. Nice people, nice place
it was about a 20 minute walk to the center which isn't too bad at all but if you forgot something or needed to run back it was a lengthy adventure
Reasonable price. Convenient location.
A little old fashioned especially bathroom
I had a terrific stay at the Killarney Guest House. The room was clean and comfortable (although a little cold throughout my stay), the staff were friendly and very helpful (especially when I forgot my Canada-Europe electrical converter and they were able to quickly supply one!), and the breakfasts were excellent, with beautiful egg options alongside a small but well-chosen buffet of cold cereal and other options. The location was superb, allowing easy access to my conference at UCC and the downtown. Highly recommended!
Walls and window glazes just seem a bit thinner in Ireland; I encountered this at the other B&B I stayed in during a quick trip to Dublin after my time in Cork. Just pack extra sweaters and you'll be fine. Other than that I really can't think of a single negative thing to say about the Killarney Guest House!
Location brilliant Parking Easy to find Big room Warm
Bed and floors boards very noisy Curtains didn't fully close In need of a little refurbishment
It was clean and room is pretty, I like that 3 people can sleep in room
The streetlights shine in the room through the curtains, it's as if the streetlight is in the room. Street is very busy and noisy, you can hear every noise from outside, every car and cars doesn't stop, cars were driving past the whole night, we could hear the people walking past talking and best of all we heard the people in the room above us having sex the whole night and trying to explain to our 5 year old daughter what's so noisy. Every footstep, every movement they made, we could hear everything everything. The hot water in the shower is really hot either, it's luke warm. We couldn't wait for Sunday morning just to leave and come home to sleep.
clean, warm, breakfast was good...shower was brilliant.
My bathroom had a jacuzzi Nice views to the rear of fitzgerald park and the county hall.
Furnishings fittings stirs dining room
No bathroom door If you have overweight, you won't fit in the bathroom Noisy Bed made noise
This was my second stay here. The hotel is not too far from the city centre, about a 15 minute walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Free parking is available on premises. The rooms are large and clean. Overall, I will return here next time I'm in Cork.
Everything looks a bit old and used. Can't say this bothered me too much, but others may find this off putting.
Front of building too noisy near the road
Great location, close to town. Plenty of parking available too even though the place was fully booked.
Not too far out of town (Walking distance), Quiet, Nice park at the rear, with a bridge over the river, Parking at rear
The staff was very friendly and helpful for directions. Recommendations for places to eat and drink were excellent.
Moldy showers and 5 flights of stairs. It was a very long walk to the town center. Room was very small and the bed was not comfortable.
Clean comfortable friendly great location
bed comfortable food good easy parking friendly staff
our room was next to street on ground floor , we found it noisey (used to country quietness) . Daugher's room at back quiet and peaceful.Dirty looking bed clothes did not inspire confidence
Quaint guest house with a great location. Large room on the third floor that was quiet.
Rooms ensuite, clean, well equipped, good location close to city
Very noisy with students passing up to 4.00am; bed not comfortable; breakfast room was very drab
Fabulous atmosphere. Lovely people and very accommodating. Great selections at breakfast. Highly recommended
The hotel is well situated, the breakfast was excellent, Margharet (?) - the owner very friendly, the service in the dining room perfect.
The room was quite small and the bathroom extremely small.
Affordability & location
The room was a bit sad - very plain decor, unpainted walls, a single piece of (bad, childlike) art on the walls, & accordion door to the bathroom
