Overlooking Fitzgerald Park, The Redclyffe Guesthouse is across from University College Cork.
Score from 832 reviews Good
On the banks of the River Lee, Shandon Bells features bright, classically furnished rooms with LCD TVs, and full Irish breakfasts. Guests can enjoy on-site private fishing on the river.

Acton Lodge is a family-run bed and breakfast less than a mile from the center of Cork. It has free parking, free internet access and is a 2 minute walk from University College Cork.
Score from 267 reviews Very good
This lovely Victorian building is in quiet, private walled gardens and is 2 miles from Cork city center, with buses stopping outside the door.
Score from 741 reviews Very good
clean, warm, breakfast was good...shower was brilliant.
My bathroom had a jacuzzi Nice views to the rear of fitzgerald park and the county hall.
Furnishings fittings stirs dining room
No bathroom door If you have overweight, you won't fit in the bathroom Noisy Bed made noise
This was my second stay here. The hotel is not too far from the city centre, about a 15 minute walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Free parking is available on premises. The rooms are large and clean. Overall, I will return here next time I'm in Cork.
Everything looks a bit old and used. Can't say this bothered me too much, but others may find this off putting.
Front of building too noisy near the road
Clean comfortable friendly great location
bed comfortable food good easy parking friendly staff
our room was next to street on ground floor , we found it noisey (used to country quietness) . Daugher's room at back quiet and peaceful.Dirty looking bed clothes did not inspire confidence
Quaint guest house with a great location. Large room on the third floor that was quiet.
Rooms ensuite, clean, well equipped, good location close to city
Very noisy with students passing up to 4.00am; bed not comfortable; breakfast room was very drab
Fabulous atmosphere. Lovely people and very accommodating. Great selections at breakfast. Highly recommended
Affordability & location
The room was a bit sad - very plain decor, unpainted walls, a single piece of (bad, childlike) art on the walls, & accordion door to the bathroom
Clean, helpful staff and good location
Breakfast poor and small room
Very old fashioned
The breakfast room is not properly aerated for the frying smell..
The only plus for me with regards to this guest house was its location.
It is difficult to know where to start. This has to be the most depressing guesthouse I have every stayed in. It is old fashioned outdated and stale. To stand in the supposed 'ensuite' bathroom, I had to keep one arms down, that was the width of the bathroom. I think that in its day, it was probably a fine premises, but it needs a major overhaul to bring it into the 21st century
friendly staff convenient location for UCC spacious rooms
you'd expect breakfast to be included in the price - it is a B&B after all!
Breakfast on a Sunday I was told not served after 9am. Room small .
We stayed in family guest apartment. Wish we stayed longer, wonderful accommodations!
1) Front desk person was not helpful. 2) Food was average at best. 3) Limited parking. 4) Bed was small. 5) No TV. One TV station! 6) Front desk person said they would help with clothes that needed to be washed. Still waiting for that!
It was walking distance to the city centre for shopping and dining. It was also across from the university.
We stayed two nights in Cork and we conveniently got a studio with a small kitchen in another close by building. The studio was fairly spacious and clean. The Guest house is in front of the Park of the University of Cork and about 15 min walk to the city center. Free parking and wi-fi.
Ample off street parking and location is okay
The rooms are a bit dark and depressing but beds are comfortable
Helpful staff. Comfortable room
firmness of the bed - nice staff
very old smell in the room, as if not used for a long time - the size of the room doesn't justify the price at 100 euros per night
