Just a 5-minute walk from the beach, spacious, modern rooms are offered at this 4-star B & B. Serving hearty home cooking, Sandhills is just a 15-minute drive from Dublin Airport.

Very welcoming, helpful and friendly owner. Nothing was too much trouble and breakfast was excellent.
We were given a warm welcome by the owner Angela. She gave us plenty of information on places of interest and options for eating out. Room was very well presented. Breakfast was an enjoyable experience where we shared the table with other travellers.
Friendliness and hospitality were excellent.
Located in the outskirts of Drogheda (so you'd better drive a car to get there), this nice house has been converted into a five-room B&B. Friendly and helpful owners, cleanliness and comfort, and a nice complete Irish breakfast make it recommendable to stay in the Drogheda area.
Only drawbacks was that they do not accept credit cards, so you have to pay cash, and a bit noisy shower and fan in the bathroom, which may disturb with the adjacent room if you use it...
Comfy big bed, welcoming hosts, good breakfast, big bright room.
Shower could have been stronger, more coffee, tea and milk
Clean comfortable room. Staff
The walls must be thin - man in next room kept me awake all night with snoring.
our hosts were helpful, knowledgeable, interesting and the room was large, pleasant and extremely tidy and clean
Personable, welcoming and informative Clean and well equipped Beautifully decorated Great breakfast served in a charming setting
A little far from the town center
Great location, very welcoming host, lovely rooms, delicious breakfasts.
Great location for seeing ancient sites and proximity to Dublin airport.
Hospitality of Angela. Very helpful. Great location, room and breakfast.
Lovely warm welcome and welcomed by first name! Very clean and well looked after. A nice way to end our two weeks in Ireland.
Having to return home!
bed was fantastic towels were super soft angela was very friendly cleanest house i have ever stayed in
breakfast not cooked fresh portions small plumbing is this houses biggest problem we were woken from our sleep by what we thought were workmen but turned out to be the family in the next room having a shower desperate noise.poor location.
Clean. Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Good shower.
Dated 1980s decor. Terse notices everywhere. And I really don't like being asked to decide mid-afternoon what I want for breakfast next morning...
The welcome, the proximity to the airport that the family room has it's own door meaning you can come and go as you please without disturbing other guests.
The potholes in the road.
We were late arriving due to lost luggage at airport. Even though we arrived late, Angela was friendly and charming and had even called a local restaurant to ask if they would serve us a late dinner. Also, my grandson got his fingers caught in electric window of rental car. Angela even provided an ice pack for my grandson's hand. The location was not only close to airport, but perfect for touring Newgrange. Angela gave us tips on how to get there and what time to go so that we could avoid the crowds. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall, a very positive experience and I would recommend this B&B to anyone touring the area.
The staff were friendly.
We found this BnB to be solidly average. There was nothing remarkable about neither the rooms nor the breakfast. And the location was suburban and driving distance from everything. It was also on the high end cost wise.
Lady of the house was very helpful.gave us a lot of help telling us places to see locally. Very comfortable stay . Recommended
poor local info from the person that met us initally
My Husband and I and my 2 sisters had an overnight stay at Killowen House in June, great place, Angela couldn't do enough for us, rooms spotless, bed very comfortable and breakfast lovely, would highly recommend . . .
Owners were informative and friendly. Everything about Killowen House was wonderful. It is also about 20 mins. drive from Dublin Airport which was perfect for our return flight to Australia
As I was travelling by bicycle, the location was too far out of town to enjoy the bars & restaurants. Shopping centre a mile away had a restaurant which closed early evening. Otherwise have to take a bus back to town. No garage facilityr for bike.
The hostess was very accommodating, breakfast was good, the amenities in the room were excellent (including really soft towels)
I would have preferred more space rather than an extra bed in our room (but the room was fairly large even with the extra bed)
Quite, Secure Parking, Nice bed very comfy Nice People
On my booking form it said I could pay by card this is not the case cash only that upset my budget as I then needed to request cash from the ATM and for this there is a charge No hot water after a time at night very low water pressure Notices everywhere, penny pinching sorta 1960's run B&B
Owner is very nice, helpful and friendly. Property is beautiful and clean.
Shower hot water is weak.
