Clean and friendly and the breakfast with all the fresh fruit is out of this world. Going back next year
excellent breakfast with a varied selection of fruit juices compotes and jams from the garden
Although we left very early, they went to the trouble of getting us breakfast before we left. Lovely setting with a pleasant walk. Own entrance to the room.
The warm welcome which extended to tea and freshly baked cakes! The best breakfast we have had during our travel through England and Ireland....fresh off the farm! Delicious fruit smoothies and rhubarb yogurt parfaits! Kevin and Bernadette went out of their way to assist us in any way possible! Great Irish Country hospitality! Marg and Di Bendigo Australia
There is NOTHING we could fault!
Staff extremely welcoming and helpful Setting and location beautiful This was a return visit as we have enjoyed out previous stay Breakfast of a very high standard. Lovely welcome tea tray with home made apple pie We shall plan our next visit with a return stay.
The owners of the property went out of their way to give us an enjoyable stay. The breakfast was delicious, it was lovely to have homemade produce.
The small dry towels.
Comfy bed Clean linen Nice homemade raspberry jam
Place hard to find, poor signs & useless directions on their email. Only one bath & hand towel in a double room with two occupants. No TV in bedroom or lounge. Lots of insects in washbasin. Poor breakfast, tasteless wheaten bread & scones. Cobwebs.
Kevin and Bernadette are very fiendly and warm-hearted. The home made cakes and tea on arrival made us feel relaxed. Chats with them and other guests were very welcoming and so delightful. The breakfast is excellent, with lots of fresh fruit from the garden and delicious cooked dishes. Rooms are very beautiful and comfortable. The areas around are very picturesque. We love them. It was a real pleasure to have been there.
We enjoyed a fabulous stay. The breakfast was a real treat, beautiful fresh produce n wonderful home baking.
This is a beautiful farmhouse in a rural location. Our hosts were very welcoming and really went the extra mile to be helpful. They even gave us a lift to the nearest town when we went out for dinner. The house is lovely and surrounded by a beautiful garden. It is quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and I especially enjoyed the homemade rhubarb and granola. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at this lovely B&B.
the owners. Very welcoming, Good room , with nice breakfast and lovely setting in the countryside.
Very friendly and helpful hosts.
Bernadette gave me a very warm welcome and made sure everything was ok without intruding. The location is offbeat but that is part of the beauty of this place, well away from it all, yet only 5 minutes drive to the village. Wonderful food, and good wifi connection (free!)
Lovely lovely people! They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Yummy food; breakfast as well as dinner. Beds comfy. Lovely garden and fields, with a lot of old big trees. Treehuggers heaven ;-) fresh produce from their own farm. No TV in our room, but we never missed it.
Service is brilliant even when the boss is away.
The location was nice and picturesque. However we did not have time to explore it as we were attending a wedding near by. The breakfast was home made and very good and the host was extremely nice.
We had almost no connection on our phones and the wifi connection was extremely poor. We did not managed to get connect at all. The shower wasn't great either, with very low pressure and minimal amount of water coming from the shower head, trying to rinse my hair after shampooing was a challenge.
Great that dogs were allowed as my sole purpose was to attend shows in the area
A tv in the cottage or radio just to pass time before bed
The breakfast as by far the best I've had on vacation. The hostess is an excellent cook and incorporates fresh things from the farm and the area. The host made me welcome, gave me tea, and encouraged me to see whatever parts of the farm I wished. There is a lovely river along one side of the property. I saw many different types of birds. This would be a good place for bird-watchers or garden enthusiasts. The apple trees, tulips and daffodils were in full bloom the last eek in April.
One of the rooms has a large tub, so you might want to request it.
We really appreciated the warm and courteous greeting on arrival. We were immediately offered tea and homemade cake and we enjoyed chatting with our host by the fire. There was a lot of attention to nice details in our room. Loved the freshly made kiwi fruit juice and scones at breakfast and fresh picked mint for my tea.
lovely farm area, the owners are nice and the breakfast was nice.
Dated furniture and cottage. In a remote area and hard to find.
The hospitality was excelent. The food was excelent
It was classed as 4 star but the facilities were quite basic. The room was quite cold No tv in the room
Everything. Beautiful location in the valley of the Suire, surrounded by mountains on all sides. Our room was more a suite, with an additional sitting room with kitchen. The silence of the place. Our dog could stay in the room and in the garden. Breakfast was great.
Only a very small remark: there could have been a bit more water coming out of the shower, Bernadette :-)
This is a lovely family run guesthouse. The rooms were very comfortable and spotless. Extra heaters in bedroom plus extra bedding. Order for breakfast taken soon after arrival and a beautiufully cooked breakfast is presented next morning. Tea and homemade biscuits on arrival. The house is in a lovely scenic location on the outskirts of Ardfinnan and combined with the very welcoming and warm feeling you receive from Bernie the owner this makes for a lovely stay. Definitely recommend Kilmaneen Farmhouse and will definitely stay again.
The people managing it were very nice.
