The staff on reception at night time were very friendly and welcoming to guests
Traditional music groups playing inside the hotel was not made aware to guest especially when they played first thing in the morning waking guests up. The staff should inform guests and give them an option of changing rooms if they do not wish to hear or be woken by this loud music
Good location,clean,tidy,good food,friendly staff,would use again.
Not a lot really it was a place to stay
It was too far from cc The entrance was poorly signed Despite putting the do not disturb sign on my door house keeping still came knocking on my door at 9:15 on a Sunday morning
Service was great, reception was very friendly and helpful.
Staff very friendly especially the bar staff
Breakfast was freezing as usual the 3rd year in a row.
Food was pricey.
The staff were very helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.
When I opened the door of assigned room it was already occupied by a man fairly unhappy at being disturbed. I explained not my fault,he had already called reception to complain by the time I returned there. Girl most apologetic but double booking on a v quiet night unacceptable.
Terrible noises during the night loud banging almost on the hour every hour sounding like a very loud heating system going crazy!!? Can't put into words my children were v frightened
out of town but good for university
The hotel itself is very friendly and we have stayed there on a few occasions. I feel though the hotel needs a little bit of TLC. The curtains in our bedroom (408) were very badly faded and things could be updated a little
Just a comment on the breakfast - 3 mornings we had to ask for items to be replenished as staff were not monitoring the food
I liked the bar and resteraunt.
Lovely old fashioned excellent hotel
Meals in Nelligans Bar were very good and a great place to stay on and have a few drinks.
My girlfriend didn't like the manager, thought he didn't have any personality and not suited to the job.
room keys didn't work!
Friendly staff made up for problems in other areas. Quiet room all the same and reasonably well appointed. Bathroom clean and bed comfortable.
Recurring problem with key card for door (not working). Owners/Management really need to upgrade these as the clientele are inconvenienced and the staff are left making the excuses.
heating kept on kicking on and off keeping me awake
Easy access, comfort, reasonable value, good food, free WiFi, temperature control in rooms, Sky Sports in lounge.
Little bit of misunderstanding regarding late breakfast. Food and drink prices a little high.
Nice room and a clean and comfortable atmosphere. The room was not too hot, as it is in many hotels and the bed was comfortable. The location was ideal for our visit to the University Concert Hall. Overall, I was happy with my stay.
However, the duvet was polyester and far too warm, so we didn't sleep well. It was too hot under it and too cold out of it.
Excellent from start to finish. Lovely warm homely atmosphere. Staff were outstanding and really made the hotel. Went to extra effort to accommodate us. I would stay again at the drop of a hat. Thoroughly recommend.
Nothing to report!!
the staff- receptionist was delightful and there was very helpful floor staff aswell
The walls seemed paper thin. A gaggle of girls seemed to be partying outside my door at 2 in the morning so i didn't get any sleep
Staff were very friendly (in fact everyone I meant in Ireland was!).
Not the hotels fault at all - but a couple had a row late at night and starting playing really loud music in their room! Hotel dealt with it so it was fine.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Room 505 was classified as "Executive" with additional features, none of which existed. The room was double booked while I was still in it. I could hear every sound from the corridor, including a group of argumentative ladies between 1:30am and 2am, and a male making a mobile call at 2:30am. There was a flashing exterior floodlight outside the window. And the food was tepid in the bar, never hot
Powerful shower. Modern bathroom really nice. Lovely self service breakfast so much selection
Only two tea bags in hotel room. Few cobwebs in room
