Score from 1262 reviews Very good
The wifi was a little unconnective at times. Nothing else I didn't like, it was a brilliant stay overall!
Very comfortable bed & lovely staff. Fairly central location near the City Centre. Relaxed atmosphere.
noisy lot of people in one room cold shower quite bad construction bed
breakfast clean rooms kitchen common room wifi personal is nice
the traffic was as room is very close to the road
poor Wi-fi network
Clean and comfy atmosphere
We were lucky and got upgraded from a private twin double suit to the family suit!
Hostel was not very clean at all, staff members are hit and miss at the best of times, facilities are lacking and advertisements can be misleading
The Location was the only good thing about this hostel - 5 minute walk to city centre
Poor breakfast, bad wifi connection
It's situated in a bad neighborhood, the facilities are in bad condition, rooms are crammed with uncomfortable beds, bathrooms are falling apart, layout is extremely confusing, staff is not helpful, the breakfast is non-existent. It made Cork seem worse than it really was.
Wifi connection worked in common areas
It is a little bit too loud when you need silence. You can hear what your neigbors watch on TV and what they talk about.
The Kinlay House is great! You have a good connection to the city and to the paddywagonbus, which is a very good bus to travel to some sights in the south and west of Ireland! We will recommend it.
rooms are quite small but wasn't really an issue for us as we didn't spend much time in them.
Very laidback fun hostel! staff very helpful and friendly. 5 min walk from all the shops and pubs.
breakfast , toast and jam is not breakfast. they should offer cheese and ham
easy to access central of the cork, large lounge room with free wifi
Switched my room type upon request
The breakfast was only until 9am. It would be nice if it ran until 930-1000. Also our shower was unusually hot and we couldn't figure out how to lower the temp but that could be our error.
Overall we had a great stay here. They upgraded our room because of a booking error so we had an ensure which mas fantastic. The wifi worked perfectly and it was clean. Overall great stay.
The smell of fresh paint in the room was really strong, it was really noisy during the night and the wall in the toilet were full of holes
The room was clean, breakfast was included and the staff helpfull and smiling
the cold showers were really tough to deal with.
not enough parking spaces
the central location, the friendly staff (thanks tom at front desk for all his assistance), price included a basic breakfast, a safe feeling during our stay
No nonsense, clean, comfortable, Central hostel
It was quite cold, you couldn't get wifi in the rooms and it would be great if breakfast ended a bit later than 9.30
The beds were extremely comfy, staff were great, great location (5 mins walk from the city centre), the wifi was fast and the kitchen had good facilities.
bad internet connection
the advert was not clear it give the impression that it is single room with breakfast included. at a discount rate, I was charged the same rate as everyone else. and breakfast was tea and toast only
The tall late night reception guy was unfriendly and slow to move when asked to help open our door when we had problems. WiFi didn't work on top floor either.
My friend on the bottom bunk...oh man you could smell the mattress through the thin sheet and it was gag worthy. There's also the dirty mop smell throughout.
I slept on the top bunk, and it was very comfortable.
No facility given for cooking yourself.
Close to city, easy access.
-cold -noisy -tv didn't work -general image of a dumpy place
+location +staff +internet available
- location - personnel - basic breakfast included - price - towels included - comfortable bad - warm
