It was a very welcoming relaxed environment... The staff were very helpfull and where it's situated is perfect cause ur not to far from the city centre but far enough away you can go for a stroll and not have the huddle and bussle... Definitely will be back
wifi worked fine
The rooms were freezing cold and so were the showers
La ubicacion es perfecta! The hostel is in the center of the city, next to the Dublin Castle, the Trinity College, The Temple Bar and the Dublinia! The bed is comfortable and the breakfast is okay! Is a very good place for a low price!!
The bathroom is really cold and in the second floor is the same bathroom for man and for woman
Great location. Clean toilet and room.
I booked 2 beds in a 6 beds room but at the check in they moved us to a 4 bed room because the previous one was unavailable. And I wouldnt need to pay more for it. It turned out to be a really small 4 beds room a bit clautrophobic. Fortunatelly my roomates were quite and nice. I didnt like the fact I needed to pay at the check in before I could see the room. The breakfast is basic and the dishes not so well washed.
The location was great pretty much right in the city center and it was good value but you really do get what you paid for.
It was quite awkward finding our way around the hostel took a few minutes to actually find the room after many wrong turns, there was no mention of any free wifi so I don't know if they even had it, the room was extremely hot with no obvious way to turn down the heating and the only way to cool down was opening two small windows but only to bring in the noise of heavy traffic.
It was a central location with good wifi
Did not like the member of staff's attitude about ID.
Staff was great. Friendly, helpful, can do attitude. Good location of hostel. Comfortable bed mattress.
- very cold rooms (however, there was possibility to borrow heating) - no curtain around bed, if light was turned on at night it woke up everybody in the room - noise whole night which I think may be air ventilation - old, not fully working equipment in kitchen (for eg. tousters)
The people here for different nationality
Was the manager and people who working there like whousekeeping
The wifi connection was great and the lounge was comfortable.
I had to get up early at 6am to catch my plane and one of the guests in the room got rustled by that. Please be aware that this is a hostel NOT a hotel. You have to be flexible. That same person came back at 2 in the morning and woke me up. I did not say anything to her. Wanted to when she got all fussy about me waking her up. The fact is you have to flexible in this environment. Otherwise, better to pay more for a hotel.
Loved the milk dispenser in the kitchen, and that breakfast dishes were washed up for you. Very clean facilities and a great location.
There had been a fight when I returned to the hostel and a group of young men were being questioned buy Garda in the corridor outside the room, which was noisy
The staff in general was helpful and friendly. I particularly remembered one receptionist helping me find a money exchange office when I ran out of euros. The room was nice if you are looking for cheap accommodation in the heart of Dublin, and there's a kitchen to cook meals for those traveling on a budget!
Some random guest manage to walk into my room in the middle of the night even though he didn't have my key, and I'd specifically remembered to lock my room as well. Later on there were fighting and shouting just outside my room. I didn't feel very safe after that.
The only good thing about this hostel is the location, nothing more.
Horrible experience!! There was no heating in the room or bathroom, it was -2 degrees. Do you believe that!! I go down into the reception to tell them, and they just give me a small heater to warm up .. pff At the reception there was a very rude Spanish guy, totally uninterested in helping with something or give you some information. There is no lift and no help with luggage, they gave me a room on the third floor, very long stairs !! The breakfast was very poor! Please do NOT make the same mistake!
Perfect location, basic breakfast, good kitchen facilities.
Incredible poor sound sealing (lot of noise come into the room from the street), and non properly heated bathroom (the rooms are warm, but the toilet and bathroom was cold).
Location Breakfast Staff Tourist information Free Wi-Fi Room and bed
Very good location Had a kitchen to prepare food Mostly friendly staff
When I made the reservation there were photos of a room which was nothing like the one I got. The room looked a lot nicer on internet and I thought this was what I was buying into. Very dissapointed when I saw the room I actually got.
The location was amazing, very central, on a walking distance of major touristic attractions as well as restaurants, shops and means of transportation downtown. The wifi was very good in the bedroom and for free.
Most of the staff wasn't very nice or welcoming. I was in the Kinlay hostel in Galway before and had an amazing time, although they share the same name, the experiences were quite different. The free breakfast was very poor, the common area would close at night (although the reception was open 24h), we had to pay for our left luggage storage, even when we asked for touristic information the response was very poor and uninteresting.
very close to the temple bar right in front of the hostel you can take the bus to tie airport which is really comfortable. fast wifi
the breakfast ist very poor. really poor. and there is no plug in the common bathroom
The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs
Location, size of twin room + 2 proper beds, interesting building, window in the room got in the sunlight and being on the top meant noise was minimal..
the heater never heated up properly (only at the bottom) and was switched on for only 2-3 hours from 9 pm onwards (we were out..).. This meant the room was cold...
The rom. ..
staff, wifi, breakfast, location. easy to go airport, bus stop is in front of building.
bed was bit small.
city center ..personnel helpful
the bed is quite clean
Great location in the heart of the city. Hot shower was great!
On arrival staff not friendly or helpful (On second day, however, staff more friendly and more helpful.) Breakfast area and set-up needs to be better arranged (some toasters not working for example). Variety of food available could be improved, ie. some fruit (bananas), orange juice..
Owner rude on arrival. Other staff nice. Bed noisy (noise if traffic from street) and uncomfortable
