too crowded, no good pans
Common room Staff Value for money
No privates available during my stay, otherwise enjoyed my stay.
Clean rooms, kitchen
Not super social common areas, a little difficult to sit with people to chat as everything was arranged for small groups to sit together. Bathrooms a little sketchy
Location was nice. Common area was fun but a bit small. Lockers are good size, can fit regular size luggage and small bag.
The staff was not pleasant when asked questions, very unprofessional, and not really too helpful. There was one man working at the front desk that told me to "calm down" when I asked to check our reservations for our bus to the airport. Oh and they don't tell you, but this "bus" to the airport is some guy driving a van that makes NUMEROUS stops before it arrives. Wifi does NOT work in the rooms above the first floor.
they have adaptor but you cannot borrow but only buy , cost 4 Euro.
location heavy, well laundered 9i.e. clean and crisp) bed linen made for a comfortable night's sleep
very sort run on push button showers; water warm, not hot breakfast quality was bottom tier - have had far better hostel breakfasts in Dublin and I'm a pretty regular visitor
Lovely staff, excellent location and nice rooms.
Door of the room and the toilet were too noisy when you open and close them. That was a problem aspecialy during the night
Wifi didn't work for two days, on the second day i was able to connect to the Harding hotel wifi nearby. NO ALCOHOL policy, you can't drink in the hostel, which kinda makes your stay more expensive. Hot water in the showers was sometimes too hot, with no possibility to regulate it.
the stuff chraged me twice, once by cash and another trough the card. attemptto contact with the hostel and anybody respond.
Location was amazing, a stones throw from temple bar at atepehens green and walking distance to every attraction including even the further out spots like Phoenix park. Breakfast as simple but good, the staff friendly and the place clean. Overall excellent for the money!
The lockers were a while away although not too much of an issue, as were the bathrooms. There as no facility to sit in an evening outside of your room or in the common room which would have been nice, just a sofa space to relax after a long day/night and continue socialising.
The location is perfect. it's basically by the temple bar district and you can reach many facilities quite easily. Rooms were clean and showers were also clean
There weren't enough showers and toilets and sometimes you have to walk a bit from your room to reach the shower and toilets. wifi stopped working after two days.
Helpful staff and good location
Not very clean, doors sticky, trays greasy.
awesome location, tidiness, chance to borrow nice books if one's wish so. What's more I eat a lot so I was pleased that there was plenty food.
good shower, small dorms so not to many people per room
10 am check up is a bit early
I like the building itself the nice stone on the outside and the old creeky floors and stairs in the inside gives the place some caracture.
Only one room to relax in, its the room where everyone eats, talks, sings, plays loud music, reads or tries to watch a movie. Its silly to have only one room for everybody to do there thing. Its very important for people to be comfortable and be able to relax read or drink and be loud. You can not do this in the same space it does not work. Its not fair!!!
positive attitude for questions
you have to rent everything.. lock ? adaptor for UK to EU ? No breakfast before 7, if you told them before ?... Dissapointed
No toiletries included (towels, ...)
Toilet and Bathrooms are very clean Very clean generally. To me, the best around for the price paid.
the wooden floors to upstairs quirks and make noises. some rooms are stuffy and the air not good.
The hostel seemed to have many amenities for travelers like Irish sim cards, power adapters and tour bus tickets. The location is really great, and the staff at the desk was always helpful! It's a clean place and I felt safe there.
The pillows are very thin and either are like sleeping on nothing or if you fold them in half they are hard as rocks. The wifi was also a bit spotty.
The location. The beds were quite nice.
The wifi was really hard to connect to and I didn't really like the staff but to be fair I only met two people so I can't really speak for the rest.
Very good location, close to the main tourist objectives and the bus station is right in front of it. Very clean. WiFi in the rooms. Helpful staff. Good breakfast included in the price of the room.
A lot of noise from the street even with the windows closed. You can't sleep very well.
Comfortable beds, good location, lockers
Bathrooms were dirty and didn't have soap
I liked that the staff were very friendly and accomodating. It was excellent value for money. The hostel had an amzing vibe and everyone truely was nice to me. I will definitely visit again and highly recommend Kinlay house.
The only issue I have was the bunk beds. The rooms had quite tall ceilings, so why the hostel bought the unsturdiest beds which if you slrpt on tge bottom bunk constantly banged your head as the headroom was v. Low. The pillows weren't that comfy -on the hard side, as were the mattresses. But although you couldn't just throw yourself onto a bed after a long day (unless you wanted a nosebleed from the impact) it really was a decent nights sleep.
