Only quibble would be the slight noise level at night - but then again, late-night street revellers & traffic noise can't be helped by Kinlay.
Central location, very nice staff, great rates, exceptionally clean for a hostel & nice reception & breakfast area.
There's nothing I didn't like.
I really loved the location, very easy to find. The breakfast was nice. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were nice.
I slept really badly which was unusual for me, due to the drunken noisy behaviour of guests returning to their rooms in the night. This was especially bad on Saturday night, the night before I ran the Connnemara marathon and was needing a good nights sleep. Guests returned to their rooms, making a noise in the corridor (second floor) throughout the night with a final, nasty, argument around 5am. I wouldn't stay here again for this reason which is a shame as everything else was good.
Clean and comfortable
showers: too hot or water would drain into toilet area
Spacious living room and canteen Room for stuff bellow bunk beds
It definitely had a feeling of a hostel for teenagers/early 20s, and we were a group of girls in our late 20s. There were drunk shenanigans at night, but nothing that caused too much of a disturbance.
The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly from the very beginning. We had a slight problem and as soon as we informed the staff it was dealt with quickly and professionally. The amenities and decor of the common area give the hostel a welcoming atmosphere. The people who organized the hostel thought of every little detail to help travelers feel like they have what they need at their disposal.
The common area is too open that even at night the doors in the sleeping area were closed, we could still hear the music from there.
The kitchen is nice and also the breakfast area is good.
could have better options for breakfast
Central, clean and cosy
Very noisy for a family. Didn't quiet down until after midnight. Street noise started at 6am. Guys hanging out in girls bathroom.
Location, staff, breakfast, comfortable but small mattress.
My overall impression is very positive. So far the best hostel I´ve experienced, nice staff, location and entire hostel in general. Thank You for great holiday!
The roommates were a little bit noisy when coming back from town, but this is a personal issue...sooo, nothing negative regarding the Hostel.
Was suprised of the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. It made me feel very welcomed! A very cool atmospehere, free wifi and luggage deposit. Anything you wanted to know about Galway and surrounding - the Staff offered their full attention to you (even if other guests were coming in constatnly for the check-in) Great breakfast (loves the scones!)and cool rooms! The fact that the hostel was literally 1 minute away from the coach station and city centre was another big + ! :) Galway is amazing and beautiful and if you're going just for one day, you can take your time and walk through the small pictoresque streets of the city centre, enjoy a good traditional irish tea, go to Gino's Gelateria and enjoy a very delicious ice-cream (NUT Gino ELLA is the best!). If you love walking by yourself and along the coast..well,GALWAY is the best. :)
Wifi connection was pretty slow at times.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, and facilities were clean.
Very good & convenient location for sightseeing & using the transportations
Location, Hostel environment was superb, activities.

The beds are very strong. So strong. Sometimes people is noisy
The wifi, The situation Staff attention. Good people Generally, is warm
My stay was perfect. If you prefer smaller hostels with a lot of character, look somewhere else.
Super clean, up-to-date, amazing facilities and great breakfast, nice staff! Unbeatable.
the location and it is very clean！！
our 6 bed room have 5 travellers. It's quite crowded with everyone's luggage. We had to take turns getting into our suitcases because of lack of space.
The location can't be beat and the staff is always awesome!
Staff very friendly and helpful, great facilities to relax and meet people, great location and good value
I stayed with a group and our group size changed a couple of times and Kinlay were very helpful sorting it all out. The common room was brilliant as we were a large group and it was a fantastic space to have for everyone to chill out.
Kitchen got a bit crowded. More ovens would be good. Wifi didn't work in the bedroom.
Wifi didn't work in my room. The music was a bit too loud in the dining area.
Bathrooms were very clean and modern. Breakfast was very good.
The ensuite bathroom could have used a little updating. The shower flooded the whole bathroom and you couldn't adjust the temperature of the water and it was scalding hot.
This is one of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed in. The staff were great, the wifi worked everywhere, including the rooms and the kitchen and common areas were really big and well maintained. The rooms were pretty standard but comfortable
Accommodating staff offered late checkout, free breakfast, room was nice and quiet during the night and there was a social area if you did want to make noise. Great location too!
