The location is excellent, and while the reception area downstairs does not inspire confidence, the rooms were lovely - very comfortable and clean. The reception area is very bare, and makes the hotel seem a bit cheap. The rooms could do with hairdryers and irons - and they should definitely put a pedestrian exit on the right as you come out of the hotel!

Friendly staff. Great location and free parking which in Cork is a real bonus. Staff also very helpful with locations for pubs, restaurants, places to visit etc It's basically an bit up market Travel Lodge - not much there but your own room (good size and good bathroom) and a lounge and reception. But for a few nights this is fine and it is very well situated. (There is also a breakfasting room but we had room only without breakfast).

Room spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast - staff obliged us by serving breakfast even though we were slightly after finishing time. Breakfast menu varied, food piping hot and restaurant staff very friendly. Receptions were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Overall great location and very good value. I would recommend to anybody and would definitely return again.

Convenient, easy to access, friendly, quiet despite the proximity to the city centre. We loved the breakfast and the individual order cooked to our liking and presented at the table by friendly staff. Our room was too warm which affected my sleep but it has been an execptionally warm winter.

I found the receptionist to be very friendly and helpful which is nice to see a smiling face when you arrive. The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless. It was very close to the city as you could walk there and back.

Excellent location, very straightforward check in and check out. Would have preferred if wifi was more easily available and also could have used an iron and ironing board in the room.

“The hotel upgraded us to a fantastic room with a balcony over looking the river. It was clean and stylish and was in a perfect location, with the bus station for airport buses a road away and a couple of minutes walk to main shopping and restaurant area. We had a fabulous time and will definately return to Cork and stay at the Clarion. ” Susan, Warrington, Cheshire |
