Lancaster Lodge    

The receptionist could not have been more helpful when my husband had badly sprained his ankle at Blarney Castle (visitors beware of the very uneven steps to the Blarney stone) earlier in the afternoon and needed medical assistance. The hotel was well situated to walk to the city centre and main attractions of the area.

The facilities were nice and clean, fairly close to the town center (5-10 min walk), good parking, easy to find, great value for what's offered. Would stay there again.

Wish the staff knew more of the city and gave better restaurant / pubs / places to see recommendations and the breakfast could have a bit more variety.

WiFi did not work in room and poor signal in lobby. Really not usable.

Excellent location and really up market lodge. As good as any hotel for comfort and rooms but much better value for money for short stays.

It was clean and comfortable and the food was lovely. The waiting staff in the restaurant were really nice and helpful.

The directions on booking.com were totally wrong from the train station. There were a group of young people staying on our floor who were very rowdy and there was screaming in the corridors at 3am. I would have liked if there was a bar in the hotel.

Very clean in a relaxing atmosphere.rooms were spotless and within a 5 mins walk to nite life.

Staff were all very friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable, we didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food but it smelt good! Approx 10 minute walk into town so very convenient.

Gorgeous rooms and a wonderful breakfast, great city centre location also.

Booking made with my credit card but then my sister arrived in advance; receptionist took her credit card and blocked €99 for 10 days and then when I checked out following morning they charged me the full €99. I've never heard of credit card being blocked for 10 days for prior authorisation while at the same time the €99 was taken off my credit card the next day !

Room was very comfortable. Bathroom was excellent. Really convenient for central Cork.

The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us with regard to recommendations for restaurants etc.

Location was very good and near to centre. Breakfast in morning was excellent and waitress could not have been nicer. Bedroom was reasonable size and clean. Overall was pleased with stay.

This is a guest house and not a hotel, which I did not realise when booking - also price quoted on web site of €85.00 increased to €99 on actual booking ????

The best thing of the hotel was the late check out... It makes such a defference!

One of the staff directed us wrongly to a couple of places, im sure she wasnt aware of it...
