The staff very helpful. Food really good. The location of the hotel is great. Will certainly go back for a visit. Kenmare is lovely town.
Warmth of staff Comfort of bed Cleanliness Central location
Nothing to dislike
The location was great and really enjoyed a walk around the town. The staff were helpful and friendly.
The music in the bar wasn't great
Friendly, helpful staff. Big, comfortable room. Wonderful breakfast service.
One should be aware there is no elevator in case that is a concern. Tub can be dangerous getting in and out as sides are very high.
Very welcoming and helpful staff. The hotel is very central, cosy and warm.
The bathroom was tiny, possibly the smallest ive ever come across. No bath just a shower.
Can walk everywhere in town. Lots of relaxed shopping, but best of all, there are several delightful pubs sprinkled around town, offering good food and drink and often lovely Irish music. Paddy Quill's Pub in this hotel is always particularly fun as well and is a local favorite. The staff is fantastic and I've seen the same faces there for several years now. Especially lovely breakfasts - very classy and friendly. It's fun to strike up conversations with people sitting at the table next to you. Real Irish hospitality!
My friend and I (both 65 years young) have a little trouble maneuvering the various sets of stairs with our luggage (no lift) - so be sure to ask for some nice young person (or a strong older person) to help with your bags.
Location. Full Irish breakfast. Car parking. Public areas fresh and clean. Staff helpful.
Very poor quality breakfast juice.....not drinkable. Try Lidl. No valance on base of bed. Poor quality shampoo/shower gel
The portion of meal ordered was nice and extremely pleasant but staff went to quick to assist us
Booked a double room and had two beds pushed together and you could feel the two beds together in the middle. Arrived at desk to check in rang bells that at desk and notice a sign to side of desk informing to go to bar for a member of staff.
Comfortable and attractive hotel. Lots of parking
No evening meal
Great location Nice food Helpful staff
1.Early morning noise at back in car park 2.Some discomfort with bedding - sheets/pillows or something like an under-sheet causing sweating?
I found the staff to be outstanding ,so accommodating, lady in bar who served our lunch was so helpful ,giving directions and just being pleasant. Beautiful town only compliant I didn't have long enough to enjoy it. Receptionist even did check in for our flight to Dublin. Keep up the good work We only had bar food so I can't comment on dinner but lunch was fine and good value for money and breakfast was very good. If I was back near Kenmare I would definitely stay there.
On site parking and traditional Irish welcome and hospitality. breakfast choice and quality is excellent.
WiFi is not available in the bedrooms. Take some extra tea & coffee as there is only one sachet per day.
Staff, breakfast very good and location.
1st floor room was noise yearly am from people in 2nd floor room
Good location and had its own car parking
The hotel was in a very central location for touring the surrounding area and although located on the main street there was no problem with excessive noise. staff were friendly and attentive and the breafast was excellent.
The facility to make a cup of tea/coffee in our room would have been welcome.
Central Location, clean comfortable room, nice breakfast, friendly efficient staff. Good value.
No adverse comment.
no lift ,had a long walk to our room122.also would have liked a walked in shower.
Great location. Breakfast good. Very pleasant staff.
Bathroom mirror in poor condition.
We had a lovely time at the Lansdowne Arms Hotel. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. We spent a wonderful evening being entertained by an Irish music group with two girls who danced for us - one of the things I wanted to experience on our trip to Ireland so we were very pleased - an excellent stay.
I found the front desk lady Breda very friendly and could not be more helpfull. Found Mary in the the breakfast room so nice and took good care of my wife and I. Can't forget the porter I think his name is John, he was very friendly and he gave me a complementary cut of tea when I came back from my early walk. My wife and I was very impressed We will be back.
Helpful, friendly staff Spacious room Quiet Lovely city Delicious breakfast Beautiful lobby Entertainment in the bar
Kenmare is a lovely little town with great shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel was great value for money - very clean, nicely furnished and spacious room. The staff were great - very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was also great - freshly cooked to your liking and a wide range. Highly recommended hotel and location to visit.
The Lansdowne Arms is right in the centre of Kenmare Town so the location is perfect. We stayed here for one night recently and had a very pleasant stay. It is an old hotel but very clean. We socialised in the bar Saturday night where there was nice music playing.
