Score from 35 reviews Good
Rooms old fashioned, need updating . Decor dowdy.
We loved the hotel. The food was excellent.
The barristers from across the road in the court house use the nice lounge with the fire all day to dump their coats, bags and documents on tables and chairs. They are in and out all day so residents can't use the nice lounge even though the barristers and hardly ever there. Staff refused to move any documents.
Staff were very pleasant
Food was good
Spent over €3000 between more than 20 of us, but when 2 or 3 people cancelled late, no refund. With the amount of money spent I thought it would have been courtesy to refund the €100 odd euro. Miserable comes to mind
on check in they looked to swipe Visa card but I had paid on card online booking but they said they didn't receive it after me showing my visa bill online also confirmation e mail. I had to keeping going back to them asking and they still said they couldn't find payment. On check out next am they said they got it, never said sorry about that or even did you enjoy your stay. Just took the room card from me. I won't be returning to lawlors hotel in dungarvan . Bathroom was way outdated but wouldn't mind that if check in staff and manager were courteous to guests. Just as well I had my iPad with me to show e mail confirmation with payment which they still wouldn't believe. Glad to be home.
Friendly staff, nice comfortable lobby
Breakfast not great if you don't want a cooked breakfast poor selection of fruit
Location excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. The prices were very good. It wasn't the ritz, but you pay for what you get. Our room was overlooking the harbour and provided a lovely view.
One of our party wasn't impressed with the draught guinness, too warm.
The shower was really powerful
The bedrooms are very basic and dated
En suite could be renovated.
rooms were tiny. water drizzled out of shower. breakfast finished at 10 too early.
Food was nice.
We had to move rooms twice.first was to small and very cold.second was grand but next morning it was raining and the water was leaking into room. Dont think staff were happy that we asked to be moved the first time..never mind been moved a second time.rooms could do with a whole re vamp
It's the third or fourth time I've stayed here and I've found no complaint yet. The wifi works very well and the view over the bay is lovely, A good breakfast and it's not far from where you want to go, cos Dungarvan's really not that big.
Lawlors is a lovely central spot only walking distance to square, shopping centre, pubs/clubs and restaurants. Staff are extremely helpful and lovely to deal with!
Rooms are a little outdated, could do with a make over.
After changing room, thing were much better.
Generally old, and requesting a quiet was not forthcoming until requesting a different room.
The space in the room, the location of the hotel, the breakfast staff.
The food was very disappointing. If we hadn't travelled all day and been so hungry, we'd have sent it back.
Staff service and the compleat attitude in hotell to guests maid me feel secure and welcome
Bedroom a bit dated and needed refreshing
the lobby, restaurant and bar decor was gorgeous, clean, comfy, warm the speed of staff once we highlighted issues the friendliness, helpfulness at reception regarding things to do overall, very good value for money
the bed was too small (partner is almost 6ft tall) the bed had a board under the mattress and it was too hard as a result the TV cable was not working prior to check in the service in the restaurant was a bit slow, considering it wasnt very busy (but we did get a concession on our bill as a result of them forgetting about us)
Town Centre Location. Great Breakfast. Comfy Bed. Helpful staff. Free Car parking. Good Restaurant and Bar.
Layout of Car Park needs improving.
Location was okay.
no main light in bedroom. no light in hallway up to our floor. nearly fell with no light. only lampshades in room. shower head kept falling in shower. air conditioning system was broken in room. bed was not comfortable
Good location with parking
There was no light outside our room so had to use my phone light when swiping our key card to get into the room. The phone in the room was disconnected so couldn't even ring reception.
The food was excellent as always. The staff were all very nice and helpful.
The first morning we had to shower with no light in the bathroom as a fuse was blown. The hot tap in the bathroom was dripping constant and the glasses on the table were filthy, it looked like they hadn't been washed at all. Very disappointed as we have stayed here so many times and this was very bad.
location. staff. food. friendly athmosphere. relaxed.
first room very cold.no rad in bathroom.
the old flavour of the decor friendly staff
