Rooms lovely and spacious with baths and showers. Was staying there for an adventure race in the area and found them v accomodating early breakfast at 5 for competitors!! Delighted with my stay, not the fanciest hotel but very comfortable and great value for money.

We would usually stay clear of hotels in the middle of no-where but had booked here because we were visiting a family member nearby. We were pleasantly suprised for a number of reasons: firstly the hotel's front looks aged but the rooms were modern and clean inside, secondly, the staff were friendly and helpful unlike many reviews I had read and thirdly, this a great hotel for a quiet break where you can completely relax with a book, your laptop, or socialise with others including the locals. There is not much to do if you dont like walking/adventure, pub crawls and need city living but the opposite if you need to completely chill out. There is plenty to see by car during the daytime by using this hotel as a base: kylemore abbey is about 5-10minutes away and there are lots of boat trips and hill walks/climbs and boat trips that are within 5-10minutes.

reception staff more than helpfull, even went as far as to arrange change of room to assist my wifes walking restrictions. thankyou for that. overall the hotel was very suitable with beautiful room views overlooking the sea. all the staff were more than helpful, and always gave us a friendly greeting, which in my eyes counts for a lot, and will prompt a return visit. no complaints except as i am tall , king size double would have been slightly more comfortable . . nearly fell out, even with no drink.

Good location to visit surrounding area. Breakfasts were decent. Room rate was good, but this was offset by price of the food. Staff seemed quite dour and spikey. Evening meals were over priced and the food wasn't particularly nice, so only ate once.On that occasion had steak, one of the worst I've had, Tiramisu had so much cocoa power on it was rendered inedible, and my post meal tea didn't arrive. Poor show. Not much to do in Leenaun on an evening unless you want to get trolleyed in the bar.

The music in the pub was great in the evening. Not much selection for meals, and little choice for children. Very pricey! Adequate. Breakfast was very picked over by 9am each day, and service was very slow to replace items.

Lovely views. nice size room Housekeeping was very poor bathroom was never cleaned and bed poorly made also had stain on duvet cover.strange in this day and age to be given a hand written bill and no break down of charges for our meal of the previous evening.

The location is fantastic, beautiful views, the food was very good (we had breakfast and evening meal). The hotel is a little old fashioned but nothing to complain about. I did find the room cold at night and needed the extra blanket from the wardrobe. Room a little cold at night

Good views from the room. Food was way over priced and of poor quality. I got a lamb shank that I could have drove nails into a wall with. Staff could learn how to smile every now and again. Only time we received any pleasantries was when we were paying on departure. Tv didn't work properly.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Leenane Hotel. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was gorgeous and very good value (5 courses for €30!). Would loved to have stayed longer, will definetly stay again, want to get the cruise on the harbour!

The hotel is set in a beautiful location, being surrounded by mountains. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I had dinner in the hotel bar and it was excellent - both in taste and value! Breakfast was self service with a wide range of choice. Travellers with mobility problems should be aware that there are steps at intervals along the corridors leading to the bedrooms.

Superb location, loch & mountain views, decent value for money Can't guarantee good weather. If you have a back room you get no view.

The location was breathtaking and the price was excellent value. Including 2 evening meals with drinks we spent under €300 for the 2 nights. The food was fantastic and would match any restaurant or hotel in the country. The staff were very friendly and the hotel had a homely, relaxed feel to it. It was ideal for switching off and relaxing away from everything. The only criticism I would have is that the bed was not the most comfortable. It was a standard size 6x4 Double bed and the matress had seen better days. Overall our room was clean and pleasant but the decor could do with a slight upgrade and more modern beds

The location of the hotel is one of the most scenic areas in Ireland. The staff were very friendly and effecient when dealing with customers. The food there was excellent. The price of accomodation was very reasonable and great value. It also has a great bar with a good athmosphere to relax in the evening.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in. The staff were friendly and attentative. The food in the restaurant was up to gourmet standard. All in all a great place to relax and unwind. The seaweed baths were a definite bonus. We shall be visiting again without a doubt.
