The hotel was very quaint and the staff were very helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast and the rooms were clean and quiet.
location and old world charm.
in the room we had you had to bend to look out window.
The Location, and no much formalities
I stay over the weekend for swimming event, the best thing about the hotel is the staff they were very friendly to my little girl. The food was good and the view was unreal with mist coming in over the lake
New section of hotel is fine. Restraunt, Bar, Common Area's Location Trad Music Food
Rooms in old section of hotel are AWFUL !!!
great location, great views.
Excellent service and food. Staff incredible. Rooms very comfortable, decor old style and very tasteful. Stunning view from the rooms.
Could hear someone repeatedly knocking on a door the first night. Floor in dining area very slippy. Phone reception and wi-Fi very poor.
Bar menu and conservatory Value for money deal Superb location and views
Long wait to check in Uneven floors in places
A beautiful scenic and peaceful area where everyone we met was very friendly and helpful.
Just loved the location and the view from the balcony overlooking the inlet and a panoramic view of the mountains
Not very impressed with the food or the way it was presented, a love of food however simple was not evident or the manner in the way it was served. Hated the smell of cleaning agents used in the bedroom/ensuite.
food feeling at home location friendly staff intertainment in bar
Friendly staff nothing is too much. Great live music on Saturday night really nice atmosphere. Stayed in the new part of the hotel for 2 nights then decided to stay another night moved to the original part of the hotel which pleasantly surprised me was still very clean spacious and welcoming .
Welcoming, friendly, speedy service. Good food, wonderful location, seaweed baths available, access to beautiful Connemarra mountains and beaches. All great.
Location suited our itinerary well. Dinner was very good. Breakfast was less so. Very helpful staff Nice room in the new part of the hotel.
No WiFi in the room. Nowadays good WiFi should be like running water, i.e. available free throughout all graded hotels and the cost included in the room rate like other overheads.
The view across the lake was absolutely stunning, and the food in the restaurant was very good. The B&B rate secured through Booking.com for two people was very good value.
There was no broadband in the room, and very poor quality wifi was available in the dayroom or restaurant. My mobile phone also had no signal at any stage. The decor of the hotel is very dated and a bit tired which attracted an elderly guest profile. The large dayroom (lounge area) was laid out like an old folks home.
Location, Peace, Views to die for. Friendly Staff. Unspoilt. Great History, really untold, should promote the history.
Fish Farm, horrible.
Loved the views from the balconies! The breakfast was well prepared and the treacle bread was just superb!
The lack of internet in the rooms and the near lack of internet in the public places.
Reception needs better lighting.
view, bathroom, old world charm
right on the road, had to be very careful
It was an amazing I actually stayed here twice during my three weeks in Ireland.
Internet was not good.
Without a doubt the staff, but there are some who need reminding that they are a team and there is no I in team.
The menu never changed in the main dining room, and the choice of food after 6pm in the bar very limited for a light snack. Also the fact that large groups were giving more consideration and free range to take over the place if they wished to.
Location, staff, seaweed baths,
Bar is too small and crowded to enjoy for music nights
The location The staff
Excellent food comfortable lounge view from bedroom peaceful sleep lovely breakfast definitely recommend it love the village
