Leenane Hotel  

This hotel is a gem & has a charm all of its own. It is nestled in the middle of breathtaking scenery & is a hillwalkers paradise. The staff are helpful & efficient. Management are hands on & can be seen helping out wherever they see a need e.g hoovering! The seaweed baths are a welcomed addition to soothe aching muscles after a day on the hills. I'll certainly be back............

Lovely staff, beautiful food and an amazing view.

As I was in Co Mayo for a walking festival weekend. Leenane Hotel was a perfect location to access the Mweelrea Mountains and surrounding hills. I found the staff and management very friendly and helpful which created a very warm atmosphere through out the hotel. The bedroom was basic accommodation but warm and clean. I would recommend this hotel for it's location, good food, nice bar and friendly staff. If returning I would have no hesitation staying again. J.C.

Scenic beauty and comfortable accommodation however we were rather alarmed that the "family rooms for 4" that they market are actually a room for 3 with a camp bed. Luckily they were quick to apologise and offer an additional room for the boys which was appreciated.

I can not for the life of me understand why a hotel that has chosen to offer an a La Carte restaurant would ruin their efforts by employing useless soulless teenage girls as their front of house representation. Please,,, give them some hostess training!!!

It was quite convenient for travelling Connemara.

Food was way over priced and of poor quality. I got a lamb shank that I could have drove nails into a wall with. Staff could learn how to smile every now and again. Only time we received any pleasantries was when we were paying on departure. Tv didn't work properly.

The hotel is set in a beautiful location, being surrounded by mountains. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I had dinner in the hotel bar and it was excellent - both in taste and value! Breakfast was self service with a wide range of choice.

Travellers with mobility problems should be aware that there are steps at intervals along the corridors leading to the bedrooms.

Stayed one night but will be back for longer stay the location is stunning view from the bedroom is to die for the atmosphere is relaxed and very friendly the village is also lovely to miss a stay in this gem would be a sin

One of the best hotels we have stayed in. The staff were friendly and attentative. The food in the restaurant was up to gourmet standard. All in all a great place to relax and unwind. The seaweed baths were a definite bonus. We shall be visiting again without a doubt.

Its a lovely part old and part new hotel. Very comfortable and food was excellent. On the wednesday night there was Irish music in the bar, it was wonderful. Its situated in the most scenic part of Ireland breath taking. I cant wait to return.

Everything it old style and atmosphere, original sash windows and lovely quirkiness.

Warm friendly ambiance. Good simple food.

Not sufficiently organised for early departures . Breakfast starts too late at 8am.
