First, the room was way different from the one booked. So, don't
look at the photos you see, because it's not what you'll get.
Broken windows that won't open, the deadly hot air inside the room
didn't help to sleep or even live there, and when we went (again) to
the reception to ask an explanation he said "oh, but didn't you
see the fan?" "what?" "the... Fan!". And
well... He did show us the "fan". An 8cm fan. When we looked
at him so astounded, he said "it's small, but very
powerful!". He did give us the possibility to change room, but the
other one was even worse, so we chose "the old one". The other
room was one of the apartments, which I also don't recommend at all.
The shower is almost on the toilet, you would have fun with it! Then, we
left to come back at around 10pm. When we came back we noticed that the
front door is never closed (there's some duct tape on the lock), and
that there was no water in the bathroom at all (no sink, no toilet...
Nothing). Well... And there was no one to talk to, they were sleeping I
suppose. An hotel without assistance. Don't think about feeling sick
here: you won't be helped. Then, the shower would have flooded
everything because there was no plate on the ground, but since there was
no water, I really can't tell for sure. The room was the smallest
I've ever seen, and the bathroom was even worse. Welcome to the
Leeson Bridge Guesthouse, have fun!
What we *liked*? Too hard to tell. The broken window, the deadly hot air
inside the room, no water in the bathroom of any kind... Just too hard
to tell. Oh yeah, we liked the free parking. Just that. But for this
price it was too expensive! Before saying that we wouldn't pay for
this "thing" called guesthouse, the receptionist said "We
can give you back 50€", so we just paid €30. a clever man that I
suppose, since we would cancel the transaction with the credit card. I
think he works there just for that reason, being a clever man. I would
still have preferred to stay somewhere else *even for much more*, but
unluckily for us it was too late to move and we were too tired, so we
chose to stay. Of course, it was out last night in Ireland, so this was
the worst way to close the vacation. Thanks guesthouse!
