Rooms were really nice & clean
Receptionist on arrival wasn't very nice or friendly and was trying to charge me double the price. I had to go back through my emails to show her the deal I had booked. She made me feel like I was after stealing from her. Again the receptionist as I was leaving barely looked at me as I gave back the key to our room. She didn't ask how was our stay etc etc just took the cards back and that was it. As a receptionist myself I know a nice friendly smile & manner go along way. The receptionist at this hotel clearly don't think this way. I was made feel very unwelcome and for this reason I will never stay at this hotel again.
The room was very cold
Staff are very friendly, leisure club is nice, Angela who runs the massage parlour is top notch and the drink is reasonably priced.
The food was not great. Read a lot of reviews and the same complaints about food. Very unusual that this has not been addressed.
Food was fab, staff so helpful, rooms spotless and a comfy bed. Ten out of ten
Helpful and willing staff.
nice politr staff and good food
The staff are so friendly and helpful
The vending machines turned off
The room was kept spotless and view was good. Information tips on places to try. Lovely warm feeling when you walk into reception. Decor lovely so modern. Cleaning staff so nice polite always big smiles saying hello and so helpful. the cinema bowling alley cross road basic but was good.
This is where i need let my frustration out on what was to be a relaxing easy accessible and fun break after hard year. Swimming pool. Food. Kids club. Residents lounge. Ugh i was so frustrated was all small things families love for their kids was just hugely lacking in experience. I know going sound like a moan but it is needed. If ya easily pleased no need to read. kids club was to be my little moment to myself, where thought my son could have his time away from me too. it didn't start till 6pm with supervision was too far outta way up on first floor for son 8 asd or not too ramble on his own and rules kids can not use lifts alone defeated the purpose for him make friends and play. Expectation was so different from what was offered. Games room which is kids club room could do with toys that work in or proper access for kids. Son was so disappointed. Swimming pool, god here i go again too deep for non swimmers or young children to enjoy. I know most people say swimming lesson but I couldnt even stand in it hold my son and i am 5'2. Stuck to small square bubble pool or teeny tiny baby pool. Bubble pool has entrance to main swimming lane and was so annoying as swimmers were ticked of at kids for playing or splashing. One man had right go cos my son arm band floated over wall. Big let down as playing in pool is normally great help children with asd sensory issues. Deposit for towels rarely returned. They need think these things through. Breakfast in morning such a fiasco to get through. By time ya got through getting ya own tea and toast and a drink breakfast was cold. Charge for child breakfast is joke for options they have and the little he ate.Dinner we had a pizza homemade menu said the night we arrived, big pizza base of lumpy sauce and dried up toppings. Had been worst ever. Then roast dinner looked fab until you bite in and it was cold, reheated rock solid vegetables, sure enough staff replaced it and same again with meat veg cold.
Friendliness of staff, great facilities for children
Staff very friendly and helpful food good hotel beside cinema and bowling which kids loved
Got a couple bottles water which were very expensive
Excellent management catered to all family needs
Our room was not ready by 3pm to check in. I had to remind reception to put extra bed in room late that evening. I had requested soft pillows on booking.
This hotel is an excellent choice for a business stop over. There was clean rooms, comfy bed and I also got a decent dinner there.
Kids club was great
Didn't have enough pillows for room
drilling and hammering next door as they were working on updating the hotel
Breakfast could be better and more selection.
Couldnt complain about anything
Great facilities. Easy to find.
Slow service for bar meals at busy times.
The exercise facility was great and the bard area was first rate.
No wash clothes and the beds only came with a comforter. The tv's were a little outdated also.
My room was lovely, a very comfortable bed.
I did'nt enjoy my breakfast, cereal & fruit were fine but the hot items were'nt great. sausages did'nt taste nice & items looked as if they were cooked a lot earlier.
Very spacious & modern. Staff were very friendly & accommodating.
Breakfast very poor. It appeared & tasted re heated.
It was easy to get to it.
