The manager was fantastic he ensured my sister and myself had a memorable weekend his name was Anthony and his staff especially tom were great
Nice staff and lovely bar
Great rate; very convenient; lovely staff; comfortable and quiet despite location; good value buffet breakfast.
No hot water from shower head, didn't find out till morning (I'm sure they would have fixed if we were staying longer). Breakfast wasn't added to bill at checkout; I had to mention it myself. 'Restaurant' really a noisy bar, not a good food option.
I asked the receptionist for a quiet room as I had kids she put me in 202 which was above the bar & by 11 I had to move rooms because the noise from the band was so loud. The move was fine but I had to sleep on a couch bed. Staff next day were indifferent. I work in a hotel myself and if someone asks for a quiet room we always try to accommodate. Wasn't looking for an upgrade just a quiet room. Very disappointing. Amanda (Galway)
Bathroom poor . Shower curtain and bath looked old and grubby . Would not use bath.
Location - short walk to city centre
Given room on 2nd directly over disco-bar despite asking for a quieter room (rooms were available on 5th floor because some of the party moved in the middle of the night). Room walls paper thin - excessive noise from neighbouring rooms at 4am.
Location, friendliness of staff. Bar area is lovely. We had set menu for the group in the bar which was lovely and very reasonable.
Rooms bit tired looking but staff have said they r being refurbished
staff really nice new bar top class food very good location spot on
rooms need freshen up bathroom esp
Friendly staff and central location
Threadbare carpet full of holes dated marked furniture small bed and small room
We needed an iron and ironing board we were told there was an ironing room on the 4th floor when we went up there was no light working in the ironing room and we had to carry an iron and ironing board bk to our room
The tv had 1 station on it and even at that couldn't c it as it wasn't tuned in properly
The carpet in the bedroom was worn out in places and there was a lot of stains on it. Also the bar downstairs was not what you'd expect in a hotel. It was more like a disco bar so you can't just have a quiet drink, and it was very very loud and kept me awake and it went on until the early hours of the morning
Noisy neighbours. Almost impossible to have deep sleep.
close to train station; excellent food in the pub downstairs; staff very helpful;
rooms and bathrooms in dire need of refurbishment; the music from the pub kept us up until 1.00 am; we were on the second floor and it felt like the music was playing next door;
Bar staff very efficient
No residents bar, carpet in room dirty, chambermaids started at 9am making a lot of noise in the corridor
Location and price are excellent. I'd definitely stay there again.
I was very impressed with everything.
Reception staff excellent
Breakfast area depressing and staff unhelpful
No sockets by the bed to charge your phone
Brilliant location and easy access to the main areas of the city. Staff lovely, very friendly and helpful. Particular thanks to Dermot, Head Chef, for his brilliant food and great welcome.
Bedrooms require a bit of updating but very clean.
Reception staff was kind of unapproachable. Only nice person was lady from house keeping. Bed comfort was very poor, duvet was heavy as a stones, and apart from that there ware yellow spots on it.
The bar and music were good
The staff werent very friendly,the food wasnt great
I liked everything about it in light of bad press Limerick receives..friendliest people and so very helpfuj
I went to a friends room to chat. Made sure to wisper when we were talking so as to not wake other people in the hotel. Time was approx 1-2am. I was quiet obviously spotted entering the room by the night porter and asked to leave!! If we had both paid for a room we should have been entitled to stay in his room if thats what we wanted to do. We were quiet and not causing any hassle and had to reason with the night porter before they finally left us alone. I am in my mid twenties and I am wondering if an older couple would have been treated the same?? I wont be booking into this hotel again.
All of the above.
Having to pay for the car park. Stayed there before and didn't have to pay. When I mentioned this to the recipitionist, she told me that was never the case ??? I paid for the overnight car park and didn't say anymore... :-(
The location is very good, staff friendly and helpful.
Hotel could have been cleaner, our room door wouldn't lock when we were going out that evening, staff asked me to go back to room to pack and our luggage would be moved to another room while we were out. It made us late for our dinner booking. However the room was fine.
