Loch Lein Country House  

We had intially booked the hotel for one night but took a 300 miles drive back to re check into this hotel when our luxury hotel in Galway failed to meet the standards set by Annette and Paul, the lovely owners of Loch Lein Country House. We checked out after our 2nd night and moved to the Muckross Park Hotel also in Kilranney, a 5 star hotel which had been awarded the best spa hotel in the world 2011. Again, this hotel failed to impress us as nothing came close to the warmth and friendliness shown to us at Loch Lein. We stayed for a night at Muckross Park only because we were not allowed to cancel at the last minute and checked in at Loch Lein for the third time in four days! The room we stayed in was large and very clean and the view of Loch Lein with the mountains in the back ground was particularly breathtaking. The staff were helpful and polite and breakfast was delicious. I am sure they are glad to see the last of me due to my over enthusiasm of the tasty croissants.The advice from the owners to visit Dingle and the peninsula was the best ever. And to top it all, they even gave us a substantial reduction on our third and last night. My wife and I are planning our next trip there perhaps with my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. We had been looking for the ideal present for my parents - I believe we have just found it.

Rooms were very well decorated in light colors and clean. Very good view of the lake from a large window with two very confortable chairs. The staff were very pleasant and the first night we arrived late and they gave us a very good sandwich without charging us upon departure. Breakfast room was very pretty and the food was excellent. Bar and Wi- Fii were available.

Tv was dated but we did not watch it for very long.

We loved the peace and quiet, the view, the gracious owners, and the closeness to major sites (Ring of Kerry, Zingle, Kenmare, Muckross Castle), and the spaciousness and comfort in our rooms. Just lovely. It was the favorite part of our stay in Ireland.

Cycling around Killarney Park, breakfast, hospitality.

Excellent hosts make all the difference. Nothing too much of a problem. The perfect place to relax and unwind with a fantastic view !

Just amazing - and the managers, Paul and Annette made it so special. It was like staying with friends!

The hotel is excellent in every way

No tea making facilities however a tray of tea brought to our room cost us nothing.

Resulta muy dificil decir lo que más nos ha gustado, porque todo es realmente excepcional. El entorno, las habitaciones, la decoración, la simpatía y consejos de los dueños, el magnífico desayuno... Todo. Estamos deseando volver a Irlanda, aunque solo sea para regresar al hotel y disfrutarlo durante más noches, con el pretexto de conocer mejor la zona.

Zeer comfortabele kamer, mooie natuur en rustige omgeving. Gastvrij hotel echtpaar, tot veel service bereid. Uitstekend (full Irish) ontbijt.

Eigenlijk geen enkele kritiek.De prijs nadert wel zijn maximum grens in vergelijking met alternatieven.
