Loch Lein Country House  

It is truly "a little patch of heaven", it was a pleasure to stay there, I can recommend this hotel to everyone. The rooms and bathrooms are very large size and comfortable, the furniture is beautiful, the owners are attentive to details, breakfast is gourmet, and the view of the lake is marvellous. We spent only one night there but wished our stay would have been longer. We hope we can return some day.

We loved the peace and quiet, the view, the gracious owners, and the closeness to major sites (Ring of Kerry, Zingle, Kenmare, Muckross Castle), and the spaciousness and comfort in our rooms. Just lovely. It was the favorite part of our stay in Ireland.

The hospitality afforded us.

We had intially booked the hotel for one night but took a 300 miles drive back to re check into this hotel when our luxury hotel in Galway failed to meet the standards set by Annette and Paul, the lovely owners of Loch Lein Country House. We checked out after our 2nd night and moved to the Muckross Park Hotel also in Kilranney, a 5 star hotel which had been awarded the best spa hotel in the world 2011. Again, this hotel failed to impress us as nothing came close to the warmth and friendliness shown to us at Loch Lein. We stayed for a night at Muckross Park only because we were not allowed to cancel at the last minute and checked in at Loch Lein for the third time in four days! The room we stayed in was large and very clean and the view of Loch Lein with the mountains in the back ground was particularly breathtaking. The staff were helpful and polite and breakfast was delicious. I am sure they are glad to see the last of me due to my over enthusiasm of the tasty croissants.The advice from the owners to visit Dingle and the peninsula was the best ever. And to top it all, they even gave us a substantial reduction on our third and last night. My wife and I are planning our next trip there perhaps with my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. We had been looking for the ideal present for my parents - I believe we have just found it.

We totally loved our stay at Loch Lein Country House. Paul and Annette were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble and Paul helped out with ideas for travelling around the area. We only ate at the hotel on our first evening as we arrived quite late. Meal was 5* with a price tag of around £40 each but worth it as it was first class. Would definitely recommend paying the extra for a lake view. Only thing that I would say is that tea/coffee in the room would have been appreciated.

Wir hätten uns für unsere Rundreise keine bessere Betreuung, schönere Lage und Ausstattung wünschen können.Die Besitzer des Hotels sind sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit und geben Tipps für die schönsten Plätze und Wanderungen. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, wir hatten eines mit Blick auf den See und sehr schönem neuen Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne. Große Auswahl beim sehr guten Frühstück. Schönes Ambiente, absolute Sauberkeit in allen Räumen.

The rooms were large, the service was wonderful. The breakfast was the best we had and the view can't be beat.

Zeer comfortabele kamer, mooie natuur en rustige omgeving. Gastvrij hotel echtpaar, tot veel service bereid. Uitstekend (full Irish) ontbijt.

Eigenlijk geen enkele kritiek.De prijs nadert wel zijn maximum grens in vergelijking met alternatieven.

Resulta muy dificil decir lo que más nos ha gustado, porque todo es realmente excepcional. El entorno, las habitaciones, la decoración, la simpatía y consejos de los dueños, el magnífico desayuno... Todo. Estamos deseando volver a Irlanda, aunque solo sea para regresar al hotel y disfrutarlo durante más noches, con el pretexto de conocer mejor la zona.
