Staff, comfort of the bedroom
Friendly and convenient location with helful staff and comfortable rooms and dining.
Check in at 4pm a bit late.
The artwork on the walls. Being upgraded. Same thing happened the first time we stayed there. Nice surprise!
Not enough amenities, ie swimming pool, nearby shops.
location is lovely - enjoyable walks staff, service, food and accommodation lovely.
Loved the food and the bedroom was fab ! Great stay
Firstly I liked the welcoming reception warm and friendly atmosphere..straight away the comfort was evident by the luxurious decor. I liked the cosiness of the bar and lounge with fires lighting and the staff esp in the restaurant couldn't do enough.. very accommadating with my dietary requirements The hotel was very child friendly too which was very important! As for our suite poor heaven!
The heat in our room was a bit overpowering!
This has been our second stay at the lord bagnel this year and it has not disappointed. We love staying there and hope to return very soon. We brought another couple this time who also thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Top class service and great value for money.
In a beautiful setting, this is a real find and comes highly recommended
Very friendly staff Wonderful food
Friendly staff Good food
Nothing bothered us.
The Saturday night, there was a wedding on and when we went to our room we could not hear a sound.Lovely
Food was fabulous! Staff members were great too.
Location on the River Barrow
Not completely wheelchair accessible - two steps down to restaurant
Excellent bar food Very comfortable bed Mairead at reception was very friendly and helpful Large bottles of Smithwicks
Marvellous location for wedding, good and efficient check-in staff, pleasant waiting staff and bar staff, beautiful gardens and the food was good.
Breakfast was an unpleasant experience - firstly a very rude greeting from lady who was responsible for seating us, no tea/coffee, another lady cleared my breakfast away without establishing if I was finished. Our room was on 2nd floor but it was quite a walk, and we had to go down a flight of stairs!
big comfy bed, great deep bath
Fire alarm at 3:00am with no explanation as to whether it was a false alarm or not. coffee table with sharp corners at the bottom of the bed was in a bad position, especially at 3:00am in the dark when the fire alarm sounded.....resulting in a bruise and lump on my knee!!
Receptionist Maraid (I think she was called) was fabulous and sorted out our hire car problems - a truly superb person. Hotel was fabulous too, great comfy room, good food - faultless.
Only having a one night stay, must go back sometime!
Staff welcome and location
Breakfast buffet was average
Beautiful hotel really enjoyed our stay
Layout of room was lovely with v comfy bed. I had a great view of the river which was really peaceful. Excellent breakfast.
Pity that the terrace overlooking river wasn't open or that the bar didn't serve drinks there. It was such lovely weather, pity to have to sit in dark bar.
Spacious rooms,freindly staff
Would have loved to been able to use the waterfront bar and sat on the decking of an evening, both hotel bars were closed during our stay which meant a bit of a trk from the pub bar right through the hotel and round through the car park to gain access to the deck!
Location is beautiful room was lovely breakfast was great loads of choice. The cleaning & breakfast staff were really nice very helpful. Would defo go back .
Staff were nice but bar & restaurant staff werent as firendly as we remembered from our last visit. I think they were just really busy as a wedding was on & restaurant was booked out.
Quality of furniture, furnishings and fittings throughout the hotel. Excellent breakfast and evening meals. Friendly and very helpful staff.
Nothing not to like
