Hotel Design, Staff & Clean
I stood at the bar for ten minutes waiting to order a drink, three bar staff just ignored me. Food in the bar took over 1 hour to come out with no apology offered even though I went up and asked twice for my food. I don't complain at all I just felt the service was not good enough and showed a level of ignorance towards the paying customer.
We have stayed here a few times and have thoroughly enjoyed each stay - fantastic hotel - amazing rooms - friendly and helpful staff -top class food. Will definately be returning
Old part of the hotel accomadarion reminded me of a dated nursing home. Bathroom was freezing. I paid extra for a cot and no blankets were provided other than a table cloth!
Location, rooms, food, friendliness of staff - all were outstanding.
Beautiful setting, decor & ambience. Staff excellent. Nice to have decent iron, ironing board and hairdryer in room!
Poor lighting, esp for women: applying makeup. a wall attached circular lit mirror would make a huge difference. Stepup into bathroom unmarked, raw edged tile with no caution signs. Very little loo rolls/tissues. Only 1 pack of 3,biscuits with tea/ coffee making facilities. Wardrobe space v small.
We ordered breakfast in bed.a bit steep at an extra 10 euro each
staff very friendly excellent value for money
I loved the spacious room and just felt pampered!
Having to leave!

The artwork on the walls. Being upgraded. Same thing happened the first time we stayed there. Nice surprise!

Loved the food and the bedroom was fab ! Great stay
Firstly I liked the welcoming reception warm and friendly atmosphere..straight away the comfort was evident by the luxurious decor. I liked the cosiness of the bar and lounge with fires lighting and the staff esp in the restaurant couldn't do enough.. very accommadating with my dietary requirements The hotel was very child friendly too which was very important! As for our suite poor heaven!
The heat in our room was a bit overpowering!
This has been our second stay at the lord bagnel this year and it has not disappointed. We love staying there and hope to return very soon. We brought another couple this time who also thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Top class service and great value for money.
