Ummm... That we had a bed for the night?
Two mattresses on the bed (one of which was disgustingly stained), bed linen with marks on, a horrendously noisy extractor fan which didn't extract, an over loaded power extension, no info in the room at all (not even fire info let alone check out times or wifi details). We stayed their because there was very little else available and feel we were ripped off.
The room was quite cold, we were told the heating would be turned on but by 915pm that night when we headed out it still hadn't come on. The bed was very comfy. really enjoyed our stay, walking distance to some great pubs.
Room was clean though attention to detail needs improvement. Empty biscuit wrapper was left by previous guests by the coffee/ tea facility. Minor indeed.
€80 for a room and no breakfast
very friendly and welcoming very comfortable great location.
This guesthouse was the absolute best. Our room was comfortable and clean and the bed was only heavenly! I was almost sad to come home to my own bed afterwards! I would definitely recommend lynfield guesthouse to anyone looking to stay in galway
Friendly service and very comfortable beds.
great location of the B&B and very charming, welcoming owners. we recommend it,
Friendly, attentive, helpful staff, great breakfast. Good location.
Bed was very soft in the room which made sleeping somewhat uncomfortable.
Great location to walk to the bus and train station, short walk into town,.quiet street, friendly owner,
Accomodation with breakfast was quite expensive for a small, basic room
We rented two rooms, and were pleased with both of them. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we did not have breakfast (due to our own busy schedules) - it smelled great.
Wish there was a common area in the house other than the dining room, though we sat at a table outside.
Location, friendliness of staff, comfort of beds--all great.
The shower was moldy and the drain was clogged so water pooled at your feet, threatening to flood bathroom if you stayed in more than a few minutes. We advised staff, but the problem wasn't resolved before we left.
We got a great welcome to the house, and the location was great just a short walk to Eyre square .
Very well located, as it is 5 minutes from main square in a quiet area
Lovely staff couldn't do enought for us
Couldn't say a bad thing about this place
Charged €120 / night for a single room , which was 4 feet wide
Mad to get hands on your money.......
Very close and within walking distance of eyre square. Nice to see a family run b & b. Allowed check in very early.
Parking very tight. Scratches on passenger door. Downstairs room should be avoided as its gets very noisy with pp goin up and down to breakfast and checking out.
The owner was friendly and helpful - within walking distance of town centre
Fixtures and fittings lack refinement - maintained on the cheap (which is fine, but the higher than Dublin price does not reflect this).
Close enough to Galway to walk in. Good parking and WiFi.
Beds had hairs in. Sheets were old and tired looking. Stains on some towels. Very small bathroom and water didn't drain away in sink or shower very quickly.
The location was good as also the staff and food.
The room was very small. This is the only reason I could not give everything an excellent review for it.
Location was very good, generous breakfast and friendly, helpful staff (Trish).
We had a front ground floor room and the weather was hot. As a result , we either had to keep the windows shut (hot) or open (noisey). We opted for open and put up with the noise!
we were informed after paying for breakfast that it was only served for the duration of hour and half between 8-9.30am...There was constant banging of doors at 9.45am on a Sunday morning and the room above ours was being hoovered at 10am..we had no choice but to abandon our sleep -in and leave the house in search of breakfast as we had been told breakfast finished at 9.30am..But we felt if they were going to deny us a sleep in and wake us up with all the noise they could at least given us breakfast as we had paid for it...We felt very aware that this was a family home and were uncomfortable being there..our room had no table only a little bedside locker where a lamp, kettle, cups were placed so there was no place to even put our phones down to charge..We stayed 2 nights and were practically ran from the dining area as the owners children arrived with friends. The male owner was very friendly but I found the Female to be too chatty and interrupting our breakfast..she make remarks about other guests once they left...The breakfast was ok..No glasses for juice and the beans tasted like they had been heated a dozen times...The location is perfect but would not return again.Would suit someone stuck for a night and needed to leave early..Was our 1st weekend away together for a long time and felt like we couldn't relax..Will not be going back..
Decent cleanliness, close to city centre.
A good few of the light bulbs in the room were not working, there was just one tiny light in the bathroom so no chance of actually using the mirror. The shower was a bit moldy and the only shelf inside was broken off, the whole room would use a few touch ups for sure.
