Great location to walk to the bus and train station, short walk into town,.quiet street, friendly owner,
Accomodation with breakfast was quite expensive for a small, basic room
We rented two rooms, and were pleased with both of them. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we did not have breakfast (due to our own busy schedules) - it smelled great.
Wish there was a common area in the house other than the dining room, though we sat at a table outside.
We got a great welcome to the house, and the location was great just a short walk to Eyre square .
Very well located, as it is 5 minutes from main square in a quiet area
Lovely staff couldn't do enought for us
Couldn't say a bad thing about this place
Charged €120 / night for a single room , which was 4 feet wide
Mad to get hands on your money.......
Very close and within walking distance of eyre square. Nice to see a family run b & b. Allowed check in very early.
Parking very tight. Scratches on passenger door. Downstairs room should be avoided as its gets very noisy with pp goin up and down to breakfast and checking out.
The owner was friendly and helpful - within walking distance of town centre
Fixtures and fittings lack refinement - maintained on the cheap (which is fine, but the higher than Dublin price does not reflect this).
Close enough to Galway to walk in. Good parking and WiFi.
Beds had hairs in. Sheets were old and tired looking. Stains on some towels. Very small bathroom and water didn't drain away in sink or shower very quickly.
The location was good as also the staff and food.
The room was very small. This is the only reason I could not give everything an excellent review for it.
Location was very good, generous breakfast and friendly, helpful staff (Trish).
We had a front ground floor room and the weather was hot. As a result , we either had to keep the windows shut (hot) or open (noisey). We opted for open and put up with the noise!
we were informed after paying for breakfast that it was only served for the duration of hour and half between 8-9.30am...There was constant banging of doors at 9.45am on a Sunday morning and the room above ours was being hoovered at 10am..we had no choice but to abandon our sleep -in and leave the house in search of breakfast as we had been told breakfast finished at 9.30am..But we felt if they were going to deny us a sleep in and wake us up with all the noise they could at least given us breakfast as we had paid for it...We felt very aware that this was a family home and were uncomfortable being there..our room had no table only a little bedside locker where a lamp, kettle, cups were placed so there was no place to even put our phones down to charge..We stayed 2 nights and were practically ran from the dining area as the owners children arrived with friends. The male owner was very friendly but I found the Female to be too chatty and interrupting our breakfast..she make remarks about other guests once they left...The breakfast was ok..No glasses for juice and the beans tasted like they had been heated a dozen times...The location is perfect but would not return again.Would suit someone stuck for a night and needed to leave early..Was our 1st weekend away together for a long time and felt like we couldn't relax..Will not be going back..
Decent cleanliness, close to city centre.
A good few of the light bulbs in the room were not working, there was just one tiny light in the bathroom so no chance of actually using the mirror. The shower was a bit moldy and the only shelf inside was broken off, the whole room would use a few touch ups for sure.
We had a lovely stay at Lynfield. The hosts were very kind, helpful and accommodating. It is located among a street of other B&Bs in a very good location. It is a short, but very nice walk into town close to everything you need.
Even without breakfast it was a bit pricey for the time of the year I went. But, I'll have to chalk that up to it being the pricey nature of Ireland.
I received a very friendly welcome from the helpful and informative hosts.
Friendliness of hostess Great breakfast Excellent location Onsite parking
Found things left behind by previous resident (packet of chips in drawer) Our bathroom was clean but had a musty odour
Booked b&b which we assumed meant bed AND breakfast . Had to pay extra on arrival as breakfast not included in price . 30 mins late for breakfast which finished service at 10am ,no breakfast given . Was my first wend away from 4 young children in 2 years and 10 o clock breakfast a little unfair. Staff more concerned with organising their childrens activities than customers welfare . Very disappointed overall with customer service which is a shame as property in excellent location .
Staff was extremely nice and helpful, room was very comfortable and clean. Location was close enough to everything but just far enough away to not be caught in the madness.
Friendly family. Knowledgeable. About Galway.
The couple/family that runs this place are so kind and helpful! We didn't have any set plans of what to do and each day they had great suggestions that we loved. Just a 4 minute walk from the train station so you can save on a taxi!
Friendly owners. Comfortable room.
The hosts are friendly and very accommodating. Location, near city center, bus and rail, is excellent. Hosts suggested very good places to see. We'll stay there again.
Had trouble getting and staying on the internet.
The proprietors were excellent hosts who made us feel very welcoming. The facilities were down-to-earth. The location is superb - 5 minutes walking to Eyre Square. The B&B had off road parking which was a real bonus
