The design marries the old with the contemporary without detracting from the obvious beauty of the old estate. The mattress in our room was incredibly soft and not great if one has any back or hernia issues. Otherwise, it's a very good standard hotel and service is pretty high and the restaurants are excellent.

We had a beautiful spacious room with a balcony and a spacious bathroom. The huge Christmas tree in the foya was very impressive. We ate in the bar on one night which was gorgeous beside an open fire. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. The only thing in our opinion that we didn't like was that the only restauraunt open on the night we were having dinner with our package was the Thai restaurant which is not our cup of tea.

Food ws good, Staff were very professional, rooms were clean , spacious anwd well equipped. Wi fi not available in rooms ( No signal). Nicest rooms in the house were not being used. Would like to see roaring fires in old part of house with this space more integrated into the bar etc. No nice place outside these rooms to relax and read the paper of an afternoon. Pool and Gym was poor for a hotel of this standard. Booking got mixed up and I had to log on to retrieve my original booking.

Nice location, beds were comfortable, good choice at breakfast The hotel was not as luxurious or fancy as I thought it would be - too expensive. Rooms were disappointing. We had to queue for quite a while for breakfast but when we were shown to our table noted that the dining room was probably half empty but not enough staff to clear the tables hence the delay. An excuse of "the hotel was full last night" is not acceptable.

The confort, the rooms, the staff, the location, the walks, it was very enjoyable. The only complaint I would have is the price of eating in the hotel. The restaurants, and even eating off the pub menu, was very expensive.

Stayed at hotel for 2 nights with my husband and 2 sons aged 21 and 18. Very relaxing stay - had meal at bar and reasonable price. Bedrooms were comfortable and my 18 year old loved the bar upstairs at night with live music. Hotel also had free internet which was useful. At night there was chocolates left in our beds and also bottles of water. We also had a free newspaper left outside our rooms in the morning. Attention to detail was the utmost - even a helicopter!! Only minor detail were the beds were a little firm but we still had a good nights sleep.

The Lyrath Estate Hotel was just beautiful, and the staff had the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. They were incredibly helpful and so friendly... They made our experience just wonderful There is two bars in the Lyrath. It was a rugby weekend, and we wanted to watch the match whilst having our evening meal. However we could not get food in the bar that had a television.... The bar that served food did not have a television.
