Peaceful, welcoming, wonderful staff and set in beautiful surroundings. Superb cuisine and the 'all important' finishing touches observed here and there signified that this hotel was cut above some of the luxury hotel 'pretenders' my wife and I have experienced in the past. Very minor gripe, the room accessed internet via LAN was not working, but this is only sigificant because internet access was an important aspect of our stay and was a factor in choosing the hotel in the first place, (family history reseach). However the staff and the manager's response when informed was exemplary. They responded promptly and sympathetically, and despite the fact it remained broken I felt they did everything they could at the time. Besides, it turned out the wireless internet was still available albeit in a communal area, which was just fine. I could follow up on historical leads gleaned locally at the end of the day, which was all I needed. |

Spa is excellent, rooms are very good. The grounds make for an excellent setting. The staff were not the warmest I've come across in hotels of this class. |

staff were excellent, the room was beautiful on arrival and the cake that was ordered was in the room when we arrived. The level of luxury in the rooms was excellent. My husband and I had a "couples experience" in the spa and was very enjoyable, if a little expensive. Both message therapists were very good. Breakfast food quality was absolutely rubbish. For a 5* hotel I did not expect to receive Denny's processed sausages!. In general we found all the pork products to be of very poor standard. A local pork butcher should be sourced. However, the presentation was excellent. I thought €20 room service charge for breakfast was exorbitant considering the overall cost of the package. |

The hotel service was excellent, staff excellent I think I was given the wrong room type. I booked an executive room, but I don't think I was given one |

kids were at home, food and staff were very friendly the cost of ten euro per tray for room service, very much unnecessary in the current climate. 33e for a bottle of home wine, again too much. This will only encourage guests to wine and dine outside of the hotel, especially on their second night. Once bitten twice shy. |

It was Five Star Hotel with Five Star comfort all around. And yet very family friendly, and your doorman Ray was like a walking encyclopaedia, very nice man. Would love to stay again. One thing I would change would be the noise from the central heating..... |
