The owner was very friendly and gave us alot of interesting local knowledge. Our room for 3 was spacious and comfortable. The town was 8-10 mins walk away with good local shops and places to eat and drink. Lovely walk from Port Mcsherry round the coast. Excelllent breakfast.

Warm welcome from Maeve who continued to be kind and friendly throughout my stay.Clean room, linen etc., good shower. I had a choice of breakfasts and as I don't eat a lot of meat I asked for a tomato omelette. It was delicious, light and fluffy. The next morning I fancied a fried egg but I like them rock hard. I explained this to Maeve who felt embarrassed to serve two 'hard' fried eggs but they were exactly as I like them - thank you, much appreciated! Just out of town enough to be away from the noisy streets but not a long walk at all - about ten minutes which was very pleasant. Would recommend (and have already!) and will stay again.

Very friendly owner Maeve. Really chatty and made me feel right at home. There was a gang of us attending a wedding quite near by but Maeve even drove us to the venue out of the goodness of her heart. Lovely room - clean, warm, comfortable - all you can ask for.

Great service, very friendly staff (Maeve the manager couldn't have done enough for us!). Rooms were nice, clean and with great pump showers! Location was good with ample parking. There was nothing we didn't like, we will be recommending the place to family and friends and would stay there again gladly!

The host was friendly. Radiators were not turned on and, while there was a stand-alone electric heater in the room, there was no heat in the bathroom and no hot water in the wash hand basin. There was, however, an electric shower. The host made a mistake with the breakfast, which anyone can do, but she made out that I had ordered incorrectly, which I distinctly did not do. For what we got and considering that it is a guesthouse and that we could have booked a hotel in the town cheaper, it was a bit pricey.

Not as close to town (village) as I had thought...but that may be my own fault for not researching more closely. A bit strangely located right next to oil depot. Hosts FANTASTIC: very sweet and attentive. Maeve even picked up our little bag of local cheeses, breads and wine from grocery to take back to guesthouse for us; offered advice re: sites to see, restaurants, music. Cooked "Irish" breakfast nothing special (though tasty); eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, tomatoe are things normally eaten in US. I wished for more local Irish items: fresh scones, local cheeses, more choices on fresh breads and salmon (Clonakility is on sea!). Rooms small but quiet and clean--no views. Nice family operation. As mentioned above: wished for more variety in breakfast (local cheeses, breads, etc). Be aware that there are stairs and anyone who has back, ankle issues should be asking about lift (elevator) for hauling luggage when booking any place. Our hosts kindly took suitcases to our rooms.
