I have stayed here a few times now and always liked the friendliness of everyone here and the hotel's location. Food is great - plenty of options and breakfast menu is very imaginative! Apart from the Lounge bar which could be brightened up a bit, the bedrooms are nice - a pleasant variation on the standard decoration in hotels nowadays!

Very friendly, cosy hotel with a lovely bedroom and big bathroom. Very odd publicity on website and in brochures about it being 'a la francaise' when everything about it is very typically Irish

The location: We chose this hotel as it is in the northern part of the Inishowen Peninsular and an easy drive from Malin Head and the coastline. We wanted somewhere quiet and did not want to stay in one of the towns. This hotel is a good place to stay for a couple of nights while touring the countryside - providing you're happy with a quiet location. The hotel also has an acceptable restaurant (which is just as well as there are no alternatives nearby!), though we chose to eat in the bar rather than the restaurant itself as the bar was more cheerful. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. No real issues - I thought the Malin Hotel was good value for money and gave us what we wanted.

Staff very friendly. Cosy Hotel. Not anything like it says on the hotel website so very deceiving. The food was pretty average. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Applies to both.

I didn't really like anything about the hotel. Web site gives totally unrealistic impression of facilities and standards. Ballyliffin Golf Club is 15 minutes away - not 5 as indicated on website. Our rooms were small. Lighting was poor. In one room, no 16, the bed was shorter than standard and TV didn't work, Linoleum on bathroom floor was not very attractive. Breakfast food was poor quality. Fry and toast were cold. No car parking. Unable to get to sleep at desired time due to noise from music in bar underneath. Better quality hotels available in Ballyliffin at lower prices.

This was a wonderful weekend break. The staff are very friendly, professional, and attentive. The food is excellent, both dinner and breakfast; and very good value. The room was very comfortable with a decent bathroom, all well decorated. There is a comfortable lounge and bar. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is a lovely place to spend a couple of relaxing days and get away from it all. Perfect for those who like the countryside and lovely beaches. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ate in the bar and found the food to be tasty and very reasonably priced. It is only 45 mins from Derry/Londonderry - where there is plenty to see and do on a rainy day.

Great atmosphere, lovely room. Food was excellent Unfortunately the heating in our room wasn't working. However, we were given a small heater very quickly. As the problem couldn't be fixed we were offered another room, however, it was too late at night. We then received a complementary in the morning upon check out. Great Service in the end!

Location good to explore Innishowen. Hotel quite charming although does not match claims made in brochures. Food did not live up to expectations. Menu was disappointing.
