I Loved were it was the front garden the abbey at the back and we got the weather witch made it all the more lovely the castle looked fab , and i will come back again.

Good facilities, excellent food, welcoming staff. Had not been in Roscommon before - was surprised at quantity of things to visit and do.

We really enjoyed our stay it was relaxing.

We were asked to leave our table after dinner when the retaurant was half full. We were still finishing a bottle of wine. There was a lot of dust and dirt behind the net curtin in the room # 66

attention to detail and cheerfulness and helpfulness of the staff in every area.food excellent and kids club brilliant for my grandchildren who made their first visit to see the house where i was born in.we all really relaxed and enjoyed the leisure club facilities..

It's nearly impossible to keep scrambled egg fresh, best cook a few eggs at a time 'sunny side up' otherwise perfect

My wifes and I have stayed at this hotel three times now on a busniness trip. Once again the staff were brilliant, nothing is to much trouble. The bedrooms are large, warm and comfortable, a real home from home experiance. We will be back for a forth visit later in the year.

One little niggle, they have changed the breakfast from waitress service to buffet, it was very good but you still can't beat a freshly made breakfast rather than one which is kept warm.

On arrival at the hotel we were given a complementary upgrade to an executive room. We found the hotel staff extremely helpful. We had diner in the evening in the restaurant, a lovely atmosphere and a great meal.

A lovely hotel, had obviously been an abbey in the past.. That theme is carried on in the dining room with the glass partition of abbey windows. We had a beautiful bedroom with very large four poster bed with partial canaopy and excellent en-suite bathroom. Really good heating as we were there in - 5 or 6 and the room was glowing warmth really warm in midst of real cold irish weather. A wonderfullful welcome and all staff more than good Excellant descibes the staff at the Abbey Hotel. The grounds are magnificient quite a winding driveway beatifull trees and shrubs,daffodills just in bud beariful steps and decor and to crown it all a lovely black labrador lying on the lawn observing all the coming and going and never moved from his lying spot, this gorgeous dog made the place complete.

There was nothing to dislike about such a lovely well managed hotel.

I love the decor and homely athmosphere

We wanted to stay the second night but we would have to pay one hundred eure more than the first night!

We were upgraded to a deluxe room as it was our anniversary the room was beautiful and the bed was so soft and comfortable. We had dinner in the bar and the food was amazing ones of the nicest steaks I've ever tasted. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Great value for money too

The standard rooms are lovely but the beds are a little small

The room was nice and comfy. The food in the bar was 10/10. I got a great deal on the price of the room and will gladly go back. We had a lovely relaxing stay. The hotel is located in a quiet spot so no street noise or late night revellers to wake you up.

The plumbing made some strange noises when the hot tap was used. There was an adjoining room and we could hear their full conversations.

Everything was lovely, staff were lovely, room was perfect great location and excellent value for money

Hotel was lovely, very friendly staff, nice spacious room, free swimming pool and gym. Its close to the city centre but in a quiet area and surrounded by garden.

Problem with a free wifi. Smoking is no allowed in the front of hotel and there was no designated smoking area as far as we could see.

Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room we stayed in was a little tired however it was very clean and reasonably comfortable.

Very small tv in a huge room was not ideal.

I arrived late and they made Food available, which was much appreciated. They also had excellent WiFi which I used extenstively.

The building it self was great.

Hotel was lovely overall. I was a little disappointed with the room. My room had a small double bed and two singles. The double was not that comfortable...and the room felt very dated. I know it was a castle type hotel, but even so, I felt it was not the four star it claimed to be. Having said that, it was lovely for the most part and the staff were friendly and helpful. The dining room had a nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. Would recommend the hotel!

It was a nice friendly hotel.

Price of drink was a little high, especially for the location.

The leisure centre was lovely. Rooms were nice and spacious and clean. The location is also great.

The room was very hot and I couldn't turn of the heater and when I opened the window the noise of the fan from the kitchen was extremely loud so I had to close it again. The food was nice but not spectacular.
