Maol Reidh Hotel  

Staff were very accomodating to special request for early arrival and were very helpful. Very clean rooms, rather spacious though we only had a room with two singles. Wonderful breakfast as well.

I liked the friendly way the staff looked after us getting iced water for us when we were retiring for the night. Making toasted sandwiches even though the kitchen was closed on the day of the wedding. The rooms were lovely and big and spotless the carpet in the hallway was fresh looking and the dining room and the food was excellent.

There was no remote control for the TV in the room. I went to the bar to get a pint of Mi Wadi at ten o'clock and there was nobody in the bar to serve me.

The staff were very welcoming. Food was cooked to perfection and very well presented - top notch cuisine. A great dining experience and excellent accommodation in a very scenic part of West Galway. Our room (101) overlooked the thatches with views to the mountains and bay beyond. The village is very picturesque and a visit to Coyne's pub next door is a must.

Location is amazing. Good size family room.

Room was lovely and warm and really spacious. The view out the room window looking over the thatched cottages and accross the mountains is beautiful.

The hotel was warm and friendly with lovely large rooms and comfortable snuggly beds, we had a lovely walk in shower room.The food both in the bar and the restraurant was excellent, beautiful breakfast with a good selection of fruit cereals and hot food. The staff were friendly and helpful. The relaxation areas within the lounge and bar were comfortable, The hotel also hosts displays of local Art throughout. I would strongly recommend a stay at this beautiful centrally located hotel.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Meals were excellent. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and has a relaxed country atmosphere. A clean comfortable hotel. We will return for a longer stay.

Lovely family homely hotel

I am a wheelchair user and I found the facilities at Maol Reidh excellent- access was easy; grabrails and transfer to toilet and wheel-in shower facilities up to required standard;bed was comfortable and light switches were within reach. Also I liked the view of the hillside from the window of my room and the constant changing colours as the clouds sailed over and the sunlight was reflected in the fields and foliage

We stayed at the Maol Reidh for a long weekend. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a lovely meal, which was very reasonably priced. The location is excellent for touring around the Connemara area. We would definitely stay there again.

The only small complaint we have is the lack of complimentary products in the bathroom (shampoo, tissues etc.) and also there was no bath mat, which could prove hazardous, as the bath was very slippery.

we enjoyed our stay here and would recommentd it to our friends.we will be staying here again soon.

Stayed for 3 nights ---- bed and breakfast ------ breakfasts cooked to perfection every morning ---- hotel was very comfortable with very efficient and friendly staff ---- very good value.

Night porter might have been a bit more friendly

The decor was modern and comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and cheerful. The bedrooms were tastefully furnished and also included practical touches i.e. tea-making facilities were hygienically stored in a cupboard, and the most user-friendly and practical iron/board combo I have ever seen. Even at the front it was very quiet, and coupled with good beds, a great night's sleep was assured. Dinner in the dining room was also delicious. It was a pity our stay was so short, but we hope to go back. It is a jewel in the Connemara countryside.

A hotel with a very relaxing atmosphere to base yourself to explore Connemara. The hotel has a good restaurant and the staff are very pleasant and helpful without getting too in your face. We will stay again; hopefully very soon.
