The hotel was ideally suited to our needs and in general we were looked after very well. The response of the staff in the bar was very slow. There was only 1 barman on duty when I needed attention and he was more interested in speaking with some guys as opposed to serving customers |

Lovely cheese cake! Fantastic service in the evenings from the restaurant staff. Friendly staff all over. Nice warm pool. Double bed formed by two put together, felt join between beds. Internet access on TV should have a prompt to ensure you know price before going on. |

Modern and very comfortable bedroom and well equipped bathroom. Beautiful spa facility and pool. Mainly friendly and polite staff. Noisy children allowed to run around bar area until late evening. Badly soiled restaurant furniture upholstery - I sat on my serviette. |

the room is comfortable and you can use the swimming pool I expected something diffrent of this hotel reading the rewiews and seeing the photos. It seemed a luxury old manor and this is only the reception and gardens. inside the hotel is a modern decoration. Is not ten minutes from the centre of the city, is 5 or 6 km. so you must go by car to Cork. The staff is not so kind as we are accostumed in Ireland. The photos of the spa are not exactly as the swiming pool is. |

We really enjoyed our stay the service was very good and the standard of the food excellant When asked for our visa card we stated that we would be paying in cash. We were informed it had to be paid up front and could not order anything to be charged to the room which we had no problem with but it was said in full earshot of other guests booking in and we felt embarrassed by how public the statement was made. |

Having tried most of the hotels in Cork this is our top choice. Food is excellent and staff quietly attentive. In the bar area the friendliness and attentiveness of Siva is a major asset for this hotel. Produces the best freshly cooked poached eggs and scrambled eggs at breakfast. |

The rooms are comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. It was very clean and the staff were polite and courteous. The standard of the food was very mediocre...but the prices were outrageous! I would recommend the hotel to others but would caution against eating there. |

Comfortable bedroom; good breakfast; exceptionally helpful and friendly staff As in all hotel bedrooms there is not enough light, but Maryborough is better than most, with several ligths in room. Bathroom needs more light and better shaving mirror for those of us who can't see too well! |

the staff were friendly and helpful. i did not realise that payment was due on check in and thought i had paid prior to this. i think this should be made clearer for people booking on line. |
