The friendliness of the staff. The comfortable Bedroom. The hotel was peaceful and well located.
The poor choice of bread at breakfast. I think a choice of brown bread could make a big difference!
Friendly and helpful staff
Traffic noise at night on rooms facing main road.
Easy access to the centre 10/15min walk or taxi ride...free wifi...helpful staff!!
We were situated near the lifts therefore very noisy foot traffic with people returning to their rooms after a night out at 4am! !!
Love the skylon/ stay every year when attending a poker comp in Dublin. Staff are great, location is perfect. Great bar and lounge area as well. Food served in the bar is v good as well
Stayed for a long weekend for the IPO poker. Brilliant, nights sleep, Breakfast, meals and staff . Will be back next year.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms large and clean.
Cleaning staff asking to clean room too early in the morning.
the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. quietness of the rooms at night and a good night sleep. cosy and compact rooms, value for money. near shops, bars and restaurants.
the size of the bath for a relaxing soak after a long day touring.
Generous size rooms, Proximity to public transport, Good in room facilities, Spacious comfortable bar & reception areas, Nice food at good prices .
We were neither greeted with a smile or a welcome by staff and in the case of reception, even eye contact seemed to much to ask . Staff would do well to study the behaviour of the porter who was on duty when we arrived who despite his heavy workload, smiled and was pleasant throughout . Serious injection of personality required in some departments .
bed was very comfortable, I slept really well. room was clean. we liked the 40 minutes walk to city center each day. Staff was nice
Stayed 12/10/14 until 16/10/14. Check in time was 2pm, but I arrived an hour early and was given a double room straight away. I was delighted as I was a solo traveller so it was a bonus.Great room comfy double bed. Ample toiletries, large fluffy towels, hot water. One particular member of housekeeping staff frequently asked me if I needed anything most days.Rooms double glazed, warm, modern furniture, The night manager was really nice and he was very friendly and I asked for an early morning call twice and it was on time, especially as I was getting an early flight home. You can get a shuttle bus from the hotel as early as 4.20am to Dublin airport and it only takes about 20 minutes and at the cost of just 3 euros its brilliant. The bus runs all day every 2 hours until 9.30pm. The foyer is modern with warm tones of red furniture and carpets. You can eat meals there and also order drinks. Some nights there is entertainment from a resident duo who perform songs from the great musicals. I will return to the hotel twice next year because they have great prices, rooms and brilliant staff who make you feel at home
I didnt like the idea of my son having to pay parking charges at the hotel when he came to visit me. I enquired at the reception only to be told that they used a private company to deal with car parking, but at 1 euro an hour it was an insult as we dined in the hotel most evenings and also used the bar . frequently. If money is being spent in the hotel then there should be free parking. Someone at reception said they had people leaving their cars in the hotel carpark and then getting a bus in to Dublin. However, why discriminate against guests who stay at the hotel and spend money there? Food menu could do with livening up with more choice and also cheaper options, poor selection.
The bed was proper double bed instead of two twin beds pushed together. With a do not disturb sign on the door, we found new towels and bathroom products in a sealed bag.
Its pretty far from the city centre. Paid parking.
Good breakfast, nice staff
No dining room for the evening, just bar food and that was poor.
I slept very well there!
A stain on one of the blue pillows, it looked like a salt stain, not sure though, it was pretty big
This is the third time for me in the same hotel . I adore to stay there .
fun and friendly staff
Location was great, only 10min bus ride into city centre. The hotel is really clean and staff are a friendly bunch& were helpful. Breakfast was good!

Everything! The Skylon Hotel was very welcoming and comfortable. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the location perfect. The bar staff were brilliant and looked after my mum and I, and the food and entertainment great. We couldn't fault anything. We will definitely be returning and will be recommending it to all our friends.
Location Was Perfect ... Thank you
Location and connection to the city center and airport
Noisy, not able to sleep properly, bathroom needs renovation
nice warm friendly atmosphere in hotel - good food and great entertainment in bar, nice little pubs and restaurants also in area and good bus routes to city
very thin walls and noisy neighbours
The staff were amazing nothing too much for them! Simon deserves a medal as barman. The room was cosy and comfortable. Lovely welcoming front sitting area. Breakfasts were great. Two euros thirty five for a bus to the city, service every few minutes.
Little short on bar staff in the evenings. Staff who were there tried hard. Dinner menus - different presentation on seperate evenings possibly different chefs? Bit of consistency needed.
Comfortable and clean. Staff friendly
They don't give out the wifi password at check-in - you have to know to ask for it. Breakfast was OK. Nothing special and slightly underwhelming. TV didn't work.
Brilliant hotel in a good location.Lovely food and friendly, helpful staff.
Rooms were very warm at night.
