Room was lovely and it was in a good location
There was no hot water for the shower in the morning
facilty and staff, breakfast
from the community room and my back bedroom, the view was horrible re. the backs of dilapidated row houses, it was muggy and the smell of turf was overwhelming; also, the staff are only available with a call between noonish and next morning
Nice staff, great breakfast service
Had to walk through the cafe to get to rooms. No ensuites
Busy street noise
Staff Room Breakfast
The climb up the stairs - it was tough with the suitcases.
Good location, comfortable clean room. lovely breakfast and friendly staff. Would stay again.
It looked like the smoke detector outside our room had been removed!
good location, very comfortable, very good breakfast, there was a kitchen and seating area which may be good for someone who wishes to go self catering
Bed was fresh and clean with lovely towels however we did not get to use them,no hot water.
.Had requested room with bath-toilet and bath were across the way- steps involved ,not very safe if one needs the loo during the night when not fully awake.Opted for room with shower only to discover there was no hot water.Bacon and egg was cold when served.
The whole place badly needs updating. Wil not stay there again.
Rooms were very clean and cosy loved the decoration lots of space especially with 2 teenage kids
The rooms were great and as we were attending a wedding down the road in the listowel arms it was ideal. The rooms were lovely and clean as well.
The breakfast was not great
Impeccable cleanliness, excellent facilities, en suite bathroom with great shower, coffee and tea in the room, very comfortable bed, TV & Wi-Fi in room, great breakfast. Situated very local in the centre of town. Car parking, friendly and cheerful hosts.
Could not bring my Jack Russell !
More than pleasantly surprised when we arrived given some of the lukewarm reviews on this site when we booked. We booked a three bed room, and what we got in reality was a three bed apartment for the night, with two bathrooms, a couch, a small kitchen area and a dining table. It was right in the centre of Listowel. We found on the street parking right outside the front door. We arrived in the evening, and left in the morning but be warned during the week you will be required to pay the parking meter. We were given our own keys and could come and go as we pleased. It's not five star if you're looking for the small things to be perfect, but overall I couldn't fault it. Also, the breakfast of a full Irish fry (+tea/coffee and toast) was tasty and filling.
Ticked all the boxes for us.
Simple room, good breakfast friendly staff
Paid parking on street (9am-6pm) Breakfast in premises adjoining B&B Light break in through thin curtains from outside,
Everything, especially the convenience to a great pub!
Our bathroom was pretty small, but still a nice place
We asked for a quiet room and got just that. Staff were lovely, breakfast filling, price was really good. It was clean and comfortable - couldn't ask for more really. Would definitely recommend to couples/families staying in Listowel :)
There was nothing we didn't like.
Central location, very friendly and helpful staff, clean room
Bed quality was not 100%, and curtains were not strong enough to block morning light
the two ladies who provided the breakfast very helpful
street parking traffic warden on duty. i would not use this accomodation again.
The woman who ran the accom & coffee shop was very nice and helpful. Top floor room had good ventilation (guests in other rooms slept with their door propped open).
The Ensuite room was on the top floor (50 steps) and had a pitched ceiling (which meant to have to crouch over or hit you head). Very poor value.
Just arrived back from a long weekend visiting family. Easy to find, park and called ahead to arrange receiving keys. Catherine asked us to call 15 mins before arrival and was there to greet us. Quick tour and we settled in. Lovely house with separate area for our triple room and shared living room and kitchen for the rest of the rooms. Clean, bright and bang in the middle of town, handy for all the pubs :) Breakfast was a choice from next door café and was delicious. Overall, really friendly and home from home. Catherine was even generous enough to allow us to checkout late as one of our party had too much to drink the night before and had a terrible hangover. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks Catherine, that was so greatly appreciated, and when we return, McMahon will be our preferred stay xx Witherspoon family
Was a little hot in twin room because weather was gorgeous, mainly our fault as didn't get the hang of the heating :) But couldn't open window. Nothing major, door opened instead :)
A nice, clean and comfortable room, good value for money. Situated in a central location. The breakfast was quite good and the staff very good.
The shower ran out of hot water very quickly and there was a musty smell in the stairs area.
Good sized room, clean , comfortable
I had requested a room with a bath but the bathroom was separate from the room, not ensuite. Breakfast, while good was served in a cafe next door
ease of access to the sights of listowel. the food
