The hotel is very quaint in the small seaside town of Kinvara. We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The facility included a restaurant and pub which was very good. |

Impeccably clean, attention to detail, excellent evening meals in the bar, good breakfasts, attentive staff. The internet customer contact (thru Booking.com) and the phone manner could still be improved. |

I'd love to lie and keep this gem a secret, but I can't. It's a friendly, excellently-run family hotel. Great value. Atmospheric bar. Delicious cooked breakfast as opposed to the festering tepid buffet served in larger hotels. Definitely worth a visit. |

It was a very basic hotel but clean and efficient. The staff were very nice. It was great we didn't have to check out til 12 noon.. The price was brilliant - really cheap.. we thought maybe the food would be crap as a result but it wasn't .. we only had breakfast there and it was totally fine. Overall we were very happy with our time there and would recommend the Merriman as cheap and cheerful .. They couldn't get us a taxi as there doesn't seem to be a local taxi service in Kinvara, which seems a little odd in a tourist area... |

Our rooms, we had to be moved, it was very noisy... a wedding band playing next door. We had chosen non smoking rooms but noticed that the best rooms were reserved for smokers and had to walk past these rooms to get to ours. |

Good food, friendly staff, lovely location. The residents bar was a cool private place with lovely comfy chairs! Kinvara was a great place to chill out for a weekend. |
