Merriman HotelMain Street, . Kinvarra (Show map) Very good, Score from 29 reviewsThe hotel, which has the largest thatched roof in Ireland, consists of 32 bedrooms, a restaurant and a bar. Kinvara is a picturesque fishing village, located on the South Shores of the famous Galway Bay. Our friendly staff will help you enjoy your stay and should you have any special requests, please ask. Great location but very basic. Comfortable and clean is best we could say about it, although the bathroom was devoid of even hand soap never mind any other complimentary treats. Friends ate in the restaurant and were unimpressed with the variety and pricing. Staff were very friendly though.

It was in the center of the village. Very clean rooms and nice staff. Great beds and well equipped bathrooms. If you don't like the smell of fish avoid the dinning room from midday! The keys for the room have a massive key ring which is very inconvenient to carry around.

Pleasant atmosphere and staff. Distinctive plae, you felt like you were in Ireland not some place you couldn't quite place because you were staying on one of those sterile chain hotels. I loved the atmosphere.

The facilities and staff were outstanding. Will definitely stay here again. 1. A small washcloth in addition to towels would be welcome. 2. Only 3 channels were available on the room TV. A news cable station would be welcome. It was difficult getting a weather forecast while a hurricane was enroute.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and staff were helpful and pleasant. We ate in the hotel bar and the portions were generous and prices reasonable for the area. The first room we were given was directly above the bar and having been told that there would be live music starting at 10.30pm that evening, we asked for a more quiet room having planned an early start the following morning, we were changed without fuss. I thought that the hotel rate was expensive compared to rates we saw advertised in the area for b&B. Breakfast itself was warm and freshly cooked though salty for my taste.

very welcoming and friendly staff. We were at a wedding next door and staff were very accomodating sorting 'later' breakfasts for those of us who missed the time allotted.

The food, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, relaxed atmosphere, Same liquid used as soap and shampoo - seems to be the same liquid used throughout the hotel. No soap in handbasin container during our stay.

Good atmosphere, plenty of attentive staff in attendance. Large portions of food in the bar - too much for us. But great if you're really hungry. Pleasantly situated for evening strolls by the harbour.

Chambre très confortable, bien que peu spacieuse. Très bon restaurant (produit très frais (homard le jour où on arrivait!). Accueil très chaleureux, personnel très attentif. Très bien situé pour visiter le Burren.

Ruhig gelegen, sehr freundliche Hotelangestellte, geräumiges Zimmer.
