Great to find a first class hotel in a small town such as Kinvara. Room rate was really good and the breakfast could not be faulted.
Good old Irish traditional hotel. Warm, comfortable, breakfast perfectly cooked. Have booked another visit for after Christmas.
You do not allow for a son like me treating his mother to a hotel break. We are not allowed for in the groupings of your survey. What a senior likes and what her son likes may well be very different. The Merriman, however, met both our needs.
Neither of us had any problem with anything. If we did, we would tell you.
we enjoyed our stay very much and the staff were very friendly especially the barman. The food was excelllent. We are returning in the Spring.
Food was Fab, rooms were spacious, good prices on drinks, not out dated on the furniture.
I had one small problem with Lighting in in the bathroom, it was going on and of like a disco Light i left a note to that affect on saturday to. Be fixed, Noting was done, i have a serious problem with one eye and it made me use the bathroom in the dark, thanks
Top class location. Very comfortable bed. Very nice staff.
Everything just amazing, 3rd time here this year , will b back soon
The lobby was the best bit.
The cost 100 euro for 2 people. Certainly not worth it. Grout in bathroom tiles dirty. Loo took a few go to flush. No bath mat, very dangerous.Nylon curtains hanging off rail. Would not recommend hotel.Had to wait for eggs , sausages and mushrooms for breakfast, in a queue of 7 people for well over 5 mins . No spoons on tray in bedroom.
Can't understand the negative reviews here about the Merriman. My wife & I were well happy with the room, food, help when needed. Thanks to Joanne & the rest of the staff for an enjoyable stay and will defiantly stay there again. Well worth the money.
The room was spacious enough. The hotel allowed us to check--in early which was great. We ate dinner both nights at the hotel restaurant....we were not disappointed with the food or the price. Breakfast was ok....there is made to order food which is nice. Parking was ample and the hotel is within walking distance of the rest of the village.
The bathroom left something to be desired. The toilet was difficult to flush and it was very old. The entire bathroom was old and outdated and their was mold/mildew between the tiles in the shower. It was adequate but would have expected slightly nicer facilities.
Friendly staff and excellent food
Room smelled like smoke. Bar was very hotelish. Least favorite place we stayed on our two week trip in Ireland.
Excellent location, staff friendly, dinner very good. My daughter was impressed with WiFi speed in all areas.
Breakfast very poor,
Location was excellent. Relaxing lobby area.
Breakfast was a bit poor and cold, even though it was self service buffet. Had to ask for butter for the toast and nobody came to ask if we needed anything. Only had bar food once and wasn't great.
Friendliness of staff - particularly bar staff. Excellent full Irish breakfast. Location great. Bedroom to the back of the hotel really quiet.
In the en-suite toilet the toilet roll fitting was far too near - really uncomfortably near - the toilet bowl itself. The receptionist was clearly aware in a resigned kind of way of the problem when I mentioned it but I got the impression nobody was in any hurry to rectify the problem!!!!
Just great , great area
Bed - bottom sheet never pulled straight. Bins - not emptied No milk left on tray after first day After many years staying with you at the Hotel and apartments, I felt things were not as good as before.
location town pubs music good
hotel worn looking.bad wifi and television reception
Nice village, private parking
The structure is old. The wi-fi does not work well. Poor breakfast service
The hotel is so central, car park at the back was so ideal for me. It suited our one night getaway to a tee
Nothing. Everything was to our pleasing
Staff helpful and welcoming. Just right for our overnight stay during our biking tour of Ireland
The bar over the road and the harbour. The location was great.
The road was rather noisy.
