Location on canal - easy to get to if driving. Nice restaurant and bar. Room spacious and very clean. Good value for money. Parking spaces to the front of hotel and lareg car park behind hotel
cost is high compared to offer. hotel looks very old and not very fit doors ,windows or bathrooms
Thin walls. Could hear too much.
Location and staff and free car parking
Access to car park from hotel not convenient
The room very comfortable staff could not have been better.will stay again
There is s groove in the bathroom marble shelf above the sink and it was clogged with dirt which has gathered and it would need cleaned.
Very nice staff. Good location. VERY CLEAN bedding, no dust on the furniture. We got the complimentary parking but the lot is quite small so don't bank on it. In-room tea and coffee is nice.
A bit of traffic noise, not too bad as it is a big city. Some mildew in the bathroom and the extractor fan was not working. Tired looking carpeting in the halls as well as the furniture in the room specifically the window-side table and desk and the paintwork was sloppy. It seems like this place is sliding down from a 3 star to a 2.
friendly staff - parking availability
walls thin - room away from lift - carpet worn - corridos univiting - matress not great
good free parking situtation on canal pleasant and relaxing staff effecient and helpful.
Good location, short walk to city centre Room was adequate and comfortable Room had an iron and little fridge Free parking available Taxis outside
Cleaners came to the room before 9am so we were still in bed Towels weren't all replaced Receptionist was not very friendly Hotel was a bit dated
The location as we were attending Aviva Stadium.
The room was too hot at night time making it difficult to sleep. No bar facilities (longnecks only is not bar facility) in a hotel after 12 is unbelievable. Waited over 20 minutes earlier in the evening for an overpriced fish and chip plus burger and chip. If not for the location we would not have stayed for €155 just for one night with no breakfast. Definitely not good value for money as hotel is nice but basic.
- staff was very helpfull - the bedroom was specious - although is not located at city centre, has a lot of restaurants near by and its easy to get to the main attractions either on foot or by bus
Got room near lift which was great.
Noise from the digger early in the morning
Excellent location for a city break. Large, well appointed room with all facilities. Friendly and efficient staff and lovely food.
The hotel is in the heart of Dublin a solid 20 minutes of walk from the city center. Helpful staff, confortable bed and despite it resides close to the center it's very quiet at night.
that a loyalty card will only work if i book directly with the hotel.
I like everything about the Mespil its that simple!!
Easy walking to laid back places like Searsons. Chill along the canal or walk 10 mins to one of Dublins great restaurants, Matt the Threshers. All the good parts of Dublin without junkies or drunks.
Walking distance to city centre
Good selection of whiskey, great location.
Smoking area could have some seats, other than that the hotel is great.
Location and quality of staff. We also enjoyed your Irish music in the restaurant. Have stayed at Mespil Hotel probably 8-10 times when working with FAS as well as this time. Always good.
I booked this hotel as I was meeting friends the next day so I came to Dublin alone for the first night. I was pleased with the location, it was not in the City Center yet close enough to walk to Stephens Green. The room was large for Dublin standards and clean. Just a side note if you are renting a car out of Dublin the Hertz office is two blocks away, this was a VERY nice surprise.
Breakfast Bacon Sausages Beans Eggs Pudding Tomato Brown soda bread Small fresh baked pastrys Salami Cheese Ham Yougurt Musli Fresh Fruit Juices
Think the hotel is old. It was expensive same price as Burlington
Friendly, helpful staff, good atmosphere
Decor might need an upgrade
