The area is nice and quiet. Walking back to the hotel isn't a problem at night. The Mespil is a comfortable hotel which offers good value with no frills. We didn't eat there as there are numerous restaurants in the area. Staff are efficient and pleasant.
We stayed in the Mespil before but this time found ourselves in the older part of the hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable but a makeover would improve the overall look. Good value hotel in a great location.
Very convenient location, staff couldn't be nicer and food in bar was very good
Away from the public areas the bedrooms, corridors etc are in bad need of a revamp. Look dowdy and a bit down at heel
Location brillant. Warm, cosy and very comfortable.
We were unfortunate to meet quiet a rude man while checking in. Anything we enquired about appeared to be a hassle for him to answer. The girls were totally different and extremely helpful.
Not enough access to parking, only one route in and out from hotel to carpark
Only there for 1 night not enough time
Not enough parking
Good location. Good price for a room in the city.
The bathroom was shoddy and dated. No shower!
Car park free of charge was a bonus, very friendly staff. Service was very efficent. The room was very clean.
Only herbal tea bags in our room, no choice & had to use the service elevator to access our room which was very dirty. Pillows were quiet uncomfortable.
Friendly helpful staff..spotless hotel.great location
I booked my elderly aunt & uncle here for a week. They were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness and location of the hotel. Would recommend a stay here.
Staff were very good, room was excellent.
Location to everything was excellent. Walking distance to shops restauraunts etc.
Customer service Very friendly and helpful staff Quiet room Comfortable, lots of pillows! Breakfast well organised and good quality Location Good value for Dublin
Room a little 'tatty' around the edges Shower - power poor Other hotels offer similar pricing but have a far higher spec finish - carpets, doors, paintwork, storage areas etc all need to be upgraded to be in line with other offerings
Value for money. Staff pleasant.
Fairly run down hotel. Facilities non existent. Parking poor
I did not like how my sister was treated. We were staying for a night as it was very close to work for our Christmas party. Shr left her swipe cards in the room after checking out as i remember seeing them on the side locker. She went back to the hotel to get them but a member of your staff was so rude and advised her that nothing was left when it had been. I think it was a disgrace the way she was treated as nobody even checked to see if anything was left. A member of staff also sent an abrupt email to her while talking to her at reception. I will be taking this further.
Hair dryer location place.
Location is good.10 minute walk to Stephens green.
Rooms and corridors were very dated. There was a strong unpleasant smell troughout the room. TV was small.
The room was way too jot
Rooms were clean and comfy Staff in the restaurant was polite and nice
Noise from renovation works long into the nights Staff at the front desk was impolite and self content with no intent of providing any service
Location.Free parking. Price. Rooms of excellent space and quality.
Price of breakfast. Corridors plain and like a prison.
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Bed wasn't really that comfy. Toilet paper was horrible and scratchy.
First impressions were good. Nice reception. Friendly staff. Good location. 20 minute walk into town. Then another 15 mins to Temple Bar area. Couple of good pubs and restaurants locally Pretty clean though
Breakfast overpriced and over cooked. 12 euro is not good Rooms are tired, as are the mattresses. Thin walls and noisy. For the money I wouldn't expect to be charged more for another bar of soap. That's just stingy. Bar was closed at 12.30 on New Years Eve just as we returned for another drink!! What were they thinking off
surprising good for 3* Hotel Excellent location Great pint of Guiness Friendly and helfull staff Car park very handy New renovation looks great
Reservation assistend smart at times when asking questions prior to artival
bar food was good bed was comfy staff were helpful
We arrive into Dublin at 8am in the morning, really tired from a really early flight. When we arrive at the hotel to drop our bags off, staff were welcoming and allowed us into a hotel room early. This was great as we arrived for New Years eve, the couple of hours additional sleep allowed us to feel fully refreshed going into the new year... The hotel was very clean, the rooms very spacious... we could not of asked for any more for our short break. The Hotel also had free Wifi throughout the hotel which was another added bonus. We also had a late flight home from Dublin, The hotel again allowed us to extend our stay and check out later at no additional charge. Fantastic stay, would be back soon!
Ireland/Dublin in general is very pricey... nothing the hotel could do about that, just expect an expensive trip!
