Location good. Parking good. Price ok. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Only used it as a stopover so was fine for what we wanted. Only 5 minute walk into town. I'm from East Cork anyway originally so I was familiar with the hotel although never stayed there before. Room was wayyyyy too hot. Could not turn down / off a/C. Mentioned it to reception who left a fan in the room. I would have preferred control over the heating system as I do not like it too hot. The a/c was turned off at 10.30pm anyway so fine over night but it came on again early in the morning which was not what I wanted.

The friendliness of the staff and the fact that they could speak english. In the lounge there was a large meeting taking place and they were so noisy that I had to leave the lounge. The bed room had a strong smell of cigarettes and I could not open the window to air the room

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities. Comfortable bed and furnishings. Very large room. Seperated bathroom facility which also cut down noise from the hallway. Very unhappy with the smoking outside of the main entrance. This must be addressed before we would visit or reccomend to other non smokers. We had to pass several smokers who block the entrance and ensure that anyone passing (with difficulty) smell of cigarettes. The smell also passes into the reception. A seperate area must be provided for the unfortunate addicts who need their "Fix". There is a perfect spot only a few yards away (not the river!) which could be covered and would resolve this problem very easily. What a pity to spoil an otherwise perfect hotel.

staff, fast check in, check out-I asked for cot in the bedroom and I had it ready. My little boy loved the swimming pool , water was not too cold for him-very good breakfast was excellent-staff very nice we thought there was a kid zone, it was poor quality, smell was awful in the room and there was nothing. we didn't have dinner there because 2 courses for 20 euros was pricey, wanted a fish and chips and was not on the carte ...the restaurant smelt too much meat

Very friendly staff, lovely room, provided teeth kit when we forgot our toothbrushes. Also, when there was some confusion about our booking,we received complimentary breakfast, which was very kind and appreciated. Room was too warm, this is not just this hotel but all hotel bedrooms are too hot. I find it difficult to sleep when its so warm

All staff I encountered were very helpful corteous and friendly. Used pool, jacuzzi etc, lovely & clean environment. As a vegan I enquired at reception of room service could provide suitable food, which was done with minimum of hassle and resulting dinner/hot breakfasts were great!! Hotel is very close to main street, but far enough away to not hear the associated noise. Lovely large rooms, (only down sides were no in-room fridge, and lighting was a bit poor for putting on make-up - unless you did this in tha bathroom). I'd stay in this hotel again as it was a really nice visit, but if I wanted to situate myself near Cork city, it's a bit of a trek (about 20 mins in the car). Nothing I can think to say that I didn't like... Unless you count the distance between one end of the hotel and the other...it's a bit of a walk (when your wearing uncomfortable heels or dragging a heavy suitcase) from the bar to the lift! :-)

Everything about the hotel was of the highest standard, I stay in hotels every week in my job and the Middleton was the cleaning and the best facilities that I have come across for the £56.00 per night that I paid. I will again stay at the hotel even if it was not located near my business meeting, i would gladly travel 50 km just to stay at such a high quality hotel

A good quality 3 star hotel that offered us exactly what we wanted from our visit. Would go back again. We followed directions on a sat nav system and the Hotel final destination bore no resemblance to the sat navs directions...I'm sure this is not the hotels fault. However some local directional signage to the hotel would be useful and a shuttle bus or some form of courtesy car for those arriving by train would be helpful. Taxis were not in good supply and one of our party was disabled and had to find his was to the hotel, with difficulty, in the rain as no taxis were available.
