Conveninece of hotwl. The only problem we had at all was a rather shrap lady at breakfast time who took the orders. There was a slight mix up with the order but she was adament that it was our fault. Really a no fault opinion would have worked better. It was remedied quicky but we felt we had had a corrective interview which was unecessary.

Good quality hotel, close to cork and other attractions. Clean, bright and spacious rooms, good health centre and good breakfast ( did not have dinner in the hotel) The only small fault that we had was the bar area where we went for a drink at night. Because food is served in the bar, the smell of food was off-putting if you were only going there for a drink. However what we did was purchase our drink and take it ou to the lounge.

All staff I encountered were very helpful corteous and friendly. Used pool, jacuzzi etc, lovely & clean environment. As a vegan I enquired at reception of room service could provide suitable food, which was done with minimum of hassle and resulting dinner/hot breakfasts were great!! Hotel is very close to main street, but far enough away to not hear the associated noise. Lovely large rooms, (only down sides were no in-room fridge, and lighting was a bit poor for putting on make-up - unless you did this in tha bathroom). I'd stay in this hotel again as it was a really nice visit, but if I wanted to situate myself near Cork city, it's a bit of a trek (about 20 mins in the car). Nothing I can think to say that I didn't like... Unless you count the distance between one end of the hotel and the other...it's a bit of a walk (when your wearing uncomfortable heels or dragging a heavy suitcase) from the bar to the lift! :-)

Everything about the hotel was of the highest standard, I stay in hotels every week in my job and the Middleton was the cleaning and the best facilities that I have come across for the £56.00 per night that I paid. I will again stay at the hotel even if it was not located near my business meeting, i would gladly travel 50 km just to stay at such a high quality hotel

A good quality 3 star hotel that offered us exactly what we wanted from our visit. Would go back again. We followed directions on a sat nav system and the Hotel final destination bore no resemblance to the sat navs directions...I'm sure this is not the hotels fault. However some local directional signage to the hotel would be useful and a shuttle bus or some form of courtesy car for those arriving by train would be helpful. Taxis were not in good supply and one of our party was disabled and had to find his was to the hotel, with difficulty, in the rain as no taxis were available.

I like the Midleton Park Hotel and always stay there when in the Cork area. I have always found it good value for money. . The reception and housekeeping staff are always helpful and pleasant. Normally the room is sparkling clean but the one I had this time was quite grubby. The bathroom looked clean but the odour from it was quite unpleasant. One area that needs attention is the dining room. The breakfast is ok..not spectacular as I would expect. The choice of food is excellent if you eat early but always find if you leave it any later than 8.30 these choices become limited..ie not enough yogurts, croissants or fresh fruit for everyone. As a result of this I witnessed a group of French tourists leave the hotel to eat somewhere else. There is one particular lady I think she may be a manager..(as she does not wear the uniform that the rest of staff wear) who can be quite abrupt and unfriendly. I have witnessed this every time we stayed in the hotel. The rest of the dining staff are helpful, pleasant and courteous.
