location staff clean
food = average poor decoration in the house not cosy
The staff is friendly. Breakfast is good. The rooms are clean and very bright. This close to downtown, you can walk more or less thirty minutes or seven minutes by bus. The bus stop is opposite the hotel and at the same stop that the bus to the airport "aircoach". The hotel was one of the best districts of Dublin.
Close to Dublin horse show could walk to show breakfast good
Television controls not very good
Staff friendly and efficient. House well run and comfortable, convenient for the RDS, and local shops.
No proper alarm system. Was astonished by advice to report emergency at reception, or even from outside front door. Lighting impossible for reading in bed. Even one extra light, available on request, would suffice.
It was convenient for horse show.
Old fashioned. Mattress need upgraiding. Poor breakfast menue Staff poor communication.
Good location for RDS
Never ending traffic noise. poor car parking .
Great location, polite staff and fresh breakfast.
Traffic noise in front bedrooms
Extremely friendly staff. Good location close to airlink bus stop. Lots of Dublin Bus connections. Close to Herbert Park with good running options to beach etc. Close to Donnybrook Fair high quality supermarket.
We were with family of five: dublin busses are just too expensive for a family (approx 25 euro in total for a return to town, taxi is in same price range so we did that when we were too tired to walk back to hotel). Nobody or nothing at airport made clear that there is something as the Leap tourist card (19,50 euro per person for unlimited travel for 3 days on Dublin public transport network). ONLY AVAILABLE at airport. Nobody in town (tourist infos weren't informed by the ministry who implemented this they said....). So may be it better too choose a more expensive hotel in the city centre if you are a family. You will not need public transport and probably offset costs for that. It is a good half hour walk, so decide for yourself.
Lovely comfortable bed, room was small but suited my needs as I was travelling alone and this didn't bother me for one night. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. I parked across the road in their other premises.
I could not get any channels on TV except RTE, I asked the girl for help but she was unable to help, even though she did try.
The panoramic location, once outside the Hotel. Perhaps, all accommodation, especially for foreign visitors like myself, should be on the first floor (UK numbering system), second floor (USA numbering system). Prof Dr John J Williams ( PhD, Illinois, USA ).
Lack of room service.
everyone was friendly and helpful clean rooms the food was very good quality and they had no problem to prepare breakfast according to our wishes , this was very nice
The location, the staff, the breakfast
the room was very clean, but would strongly benefit from being repainted
The receptionist, and presumably very interested partner in the hotel was very friendly, and made everything as easy a possible. I would wish that every hotel was so well in tune with its customers. It struck me that the building would have been a very elegant place in its heyday.
For the cost of this hotel, and location I would have expected a few more amenities, for example air conditioning (it was a very hot day). The cleanliness of the place was just marginally OK. They could reduce the use of perfumes. I would not recommend the use of the lower bedrooms because if one were to open the windows, one would be subject to easy break in.
The Irish breakfast was legendary and the staff were so helpful with all our questions
Friendly and very helpful staff. One of the young ladies carried my bag up 2 flights of stairs. For Americans, small room and bath, tight car parking but all doable. Breakfast was nice. Great location as we met my son there for study abroad staying a block up the road. Very walkable to restaurants and pubs.
Shelf over sink made it difficult to wash face without getting water in floor. No washcloths, no Kleenex and room was very warm in late afternoon and evening - uncomfortable for sleeping even with window wide open.
Good staff. Comfortable bed. Excellent location. Value for money. I stay there regularly.
The breakfast. Never good. But that is the only negative.
Location, cleanliness, breakfast. Also good value.
Triple room was double + single bed. Would have preferred 3 single. Very little parking and awkward to access same.
Not a lot, breakfast was adequate. Close to bus stops
Room was tired and basic, I don't think it was the one I booked but hotel was full so couldn't change. Could hear everything in adjacent rooms, people going to the toilet etc. Curtains very difficult to move/close, high windows so couldn't reach the top. Over priced. Parking was very tight/limited.
The receptionist was so friendly & helpful.
Staff Room size Full breakfast Really needs updating in some areas -holes in stair carpet
Décor needed updating-ceiling and corners ect Large cracks in the sink Fruit bowl was 90% apple would have preferred grapefruit and melon TV in wrong place to watch in bed Price was20 euros too high for a b/b with no facilities
Close to city and to UCD. Very nice and friendly personal, they were always ready to help and to solve all questions. Rooms are cleane and have big windows with streen view. I will recomend this place to my friends.
Breackfest was nice but it could be better to have a bit more chose. We are comming from Sweden and not really used to have sweet toasts with jam for breackfest.
a manager/receptionist who was very helpful. and the excellent breakfast
needed a good lick of paint and a good clean. Not nice to see the carpet under the wardrobe covered in a thick layer of dust.
The location, it is close to the bus station; it was clean and the beds are comfortable.
The wifi did not work properly; we could hear our neighbours in the bathroom, the waterflow in the shower was poor
high ceilings free parking no issue with late checkout
