Fabulous location, warm welcome, comfy beds and a wonderful breakfast. All the ingredients for a very enjoyable short break. We will visit again!
I had a lovely stay at Mt Edward Lodge B&b with my 14yr old son.On arrival we were met by our hostess Maureen,a very pleasant and friendly lady who made us feel very welcome. We had a very good nights sleep in a warm, spacious and comfortable room. The breakfast menu was extensive, food was excellent and served with a smile. All in all couldn't recommend this establishment highly enough. Thanks Maureen for a lovely introduction to Sligo and it's hospitality,..Joe Heffernan.
Wonderful views, comfortable stay, very friendly staff, delicious breakfast.
Room was very small.
Our twin-room's bathroom was not en-Suite (but for our use only).
Maureen, she makes the best Omletts!
Lovely host, beautifully located B&B with a view on Benbulben mountain. Breakfast in the glass house is perfect, looking over Donegal mountains towards the ocean.
Maureen was a great host gave us good advice. Breakfast was superb. Very nice outlook good parking and easy to find. A nice homely place.
Having to go home.
Everything was excellent...Couldn't fault a thing...Maureen and Raymond are lovely people to stay with...Breakfast excellent too
This is a real Irish farm home with cattle in the fields and all the normal activities. There is a magnificent beach walk, just half a mile away. I would love to live in a place like it. The bedroom was comfortable and well equipped with 5* ensuite attached. Wait till I tell you all about breakfast - the porridge came with cinnamon and honey, the rashers were real and thick, the egg-yolks were a deep shade between yellow and orange and the coffee came in a filter jug. The best ever.
Location was very scenic. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of food. Maureen was a most welcoming and cheerful hostess.Bedroom was clean and comfortable.
Narrow approach road!
Our two nights at Mount Edward's were delightful. Maureen was so welcoming and hospitable, and we had a great chat about the area and it's history. Wonderful conservatory for breakfast, and while we had a misty Irish morning on the first day, we had the most beautiful views on the second morning!
Very pleasant welcome and great breakfast.
Bed could have done with a topper.
The owner is lovely and she prepared an excellent breakfast for us in the morning
The country setting for this B & B was beautiful.
The property was located in a very scenic area and the facilities and breakfast were excellent. Maureen (landlady) was friendly and helpful. Overall it was very good.
Room was a little small.
Room, Food, Friendliness and Helpfulness of the owner Maureen, the view, beautifully kept garden.
We were warmly welcomed by Maureen and made to feel at home. The property and surroundings were well maintained. Magnificent views from the lounge. Nothing was too much trouble and breakfast was plentiful and very satisfying.
We had use of a twin room for single occupancy but no reduction was offered even though only one person was present to eat breakfast which was included in the room rate.
friendliness, comfort, craic
Weather was bad
Everything especially the peace and views.
There was nothing that we did not like.
We received a lovely warm welcome from Maureen. Clean comfortable room with beautiful views of her lovely garden. Mount Edward Lodge situated in a quiet country setting which we loved. Excellent breakfast in very comfortable dining room. Although busy Maureen found the time to chat and during our stay made us feel very much at home. Would definitely recommend and would like to stay there again. M&G P.S. sincerely hope you got your 2hrs of sunshine! M.
Very friendly owner, very informative of the area. Good choice for breakfast and as much as you wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was very clean, with lovely views.
Our en-suite was a wee bit small, but manageable.
