It's negative I'm afraid as when we arrived we were put in room 205 which we were told later was an overflow room we were paying a rate of €170 and did not appreciate this but when I told reception that I did not like the room she immediately changed it for me to room 258 which then had no fridge for my husbands medication and when I asked for one I waited for more than 5 hous to get one this was a major inconvenience for us but luckily my friend had a fridge in his room which we used. As a result we won't be recommending your hotel to our friends. My husband works in hospitality and could have publicized your hotel to a great number of people it's unfortunate and I could go on but I'll let my friends speak for themselves as they have complaints aswell.

I was very impressed with the golfing facilities in particular, they are absolutely top class. The design and layout of the close was most enjoyable and challenging. Was also very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, both on arrival (reception) in the bar, and also in the dining room. The actual name of the hotel "Mount Wolseley" is a little pretentious for the actual building, as it implies that you are going to be staying in a much older building rather than a "Celtic Tiger" architect designed building I was disappointed with the dinner menu in the dining room, and really frustrated that 50% of the items on what was a very limited menu, has a supplementary charge. Also the idea of charging for the use of the hydrotherapy pool, in a facility that is been marketed as a golfing facility, and certainly for the mature golfers who would enjoy using this facility is unacceptable. On the day we arrived there was an offer of 79 euro room and breakfast available on line??

The food was great The bar area was far too crowded with lots of small groups taking over the seating, leaving couples standing. There was a private party in the snug bar so therefore off limits to visitors, adding to the overcrowding in the main bar. Not suitable for people with babies, a lot of whom had nowhere to feed the children. The service in the restaurant was terrible. We were scolded by the waiter for asking if we could order wine after waiting 40 minutes with empty glasses and menus. The flower arrangements dotted around the hotel were Long dead.

The food and restaurant service were amazing! Even the coffee and scones were gorgeous. We had to have scones before we left even though we weren't hungry after our big breakfast. The extra bed in family room was very uncomfortable. This room was suggested to us for 3 adults but really the extra bed would only suit a young child. Very springy and needed to constantly move in the bed all night for some comfort.

Very relaxing, Very much enjoyed eating in the relaxed athmosphere of the bar area. Also great that we could use Wifi. Opening hours of the swimming pool were excellent as we were able to go for a swim at 7am before breakfast. The breakfast was excellent and enjoyed the complimentary Irish Independents. We will definately consider going back later in the year with our 3 young children. The kids facilities looked amazing and I would imagine kids are made to feel very welcome.

I have to say both myself and my Partner have a lovely weekend at the Mount Wolseley Hotel and Spa & Country Club. The staff in the Aaron Lounge where excellent as where in the Breakfast room. I would certainly recommend to friends / family. The only downfall I would have was the fact that the same entertainment was on both nights, same songs, etc...Excellent musician but would've like something new the following evening...

A perfect break for a family xmas treat. The choice of food in bar was a bit basic and the restaurant not really suitable for children. The bar has a relaxed atmosphere though.

The staff were excellent and very helpful. The spa was superb and the food was fabulous. The location isn't the best for groups looking for a fun night out on the town. The leisure centre was a bit of a letdown. The staff again were lovely, but the facilities were sadly lacking.

Wonderful setting, confortable rooms, comfy bar with good live music on Saturday night - perfect to sit back and enjoy, without being too loud to stop conversations Underwhelmed by the food in Frederick's Restaurant, expected more from it. When we asked the wine waiter to make a second recommendation after his first suggestion, he proceeded to 'recommend' just about every single wine on the list - that just made no sense.

Location/setting. All staff could not have been more helpful. Room excellent. Especially pleased to find separate bathroom & W.C. Room used for wedding reception in golf club was not quite up to the excellent standard found elsewhere in the hotel. eg. curtains poorly draped, some loose wallpaper.
