I was unable to adjust the air con in the room- was set at 27oC, I asked room service to help, he could not do it so he said he would get reception to sort it - they didn't, also there was a brown loaf on the menu for taking home, I ordered this but it wasn't delivered

The golf course and staff were excelent as was the spa which was beautifully laid out and managed by friendly and efficient staff/ The staff in the main hotel were very badly organised ( eg our drinks at breakfast were wrong three days in a row and we werent given what we ordered on more than one occasion ). It was hard to get anyones attention to either order or pay in the aaron lounge and staff were not friendly or helpful in the main ( with the notable execption of the barman from the golf club and lounge who was what Irish hospitality is all about). I suspect there is a major training issue to be addressed in the main hotel and more of an emphasis needs to be put on the "cead mile failte" along with a few smiles, this may result in people returning to the hotel for a second time.

The spa treatments were very good and relaxing. Staff in the spa were very freiendly. The bar and breakfast room seemed totally understaffed. This did not lead to a relaxig atmosphere. The breakfast was average for a 4star hotel. Service was extremly poor during breakfast. Whilst in the spa treatment room I could hear the showeres in use intermittently which ruined 'the moment'.

Wonderful setting, confortable rooms, comfy bar with good live music on Saturday night - perfect to sit back and enjoy, without being too loud to stop conversations Underwhelmed by the food in Frederick's Restaurant, expected more from it. When we asked the wine waiter to make a second recommendation after his first suggestion, he proceeded to 'recommend' just about every single wine on the list - that just made no sense.

The room was very large and comfortable with a nice lay out. Spa facilities were excellent and staff in the spa were very pleasant. The restaurant Fredricks was exceptional. The staff in the bar were quite unpleasant. On the morning of the world cup final one of the waitresses had a real moan when we asked could we bring our breakfast and coffee in so we could watch the match. When our friends went for breakfast on the saturday morning they arrived at 10.45 the waitor tapped on his watch and said your late. When you are spending alot of money on a weekend away you expect the staff to be friendly and facilitate your comfort not to treat you like a school child. If you did not want to eat in the restaurants fredricks which was excellent but also expensive and you only had the option to go for a full al la carte 3 course meal you only had the choice of bar food.As the hotel is in the middle of nowhere there was nowhere else to eat. They could do with another inbetween restaurant on the facilities.

I found the whole hotel experience very enjoyable and relaxing. Bar entertainment and bar food made for a very nice evening . Most of all would like to compliment all involved with cleanliness . Everywhere was spotless. I didnt like the dinner menu in Fredricks Restaurant and found the food only very average. However breakfast was superb.

Calm and relaxing atmosphere, great views, excellent spa. We had our dinners at the bar and the food was very good; nice wine variety too. The spa is very good: they have a wide offer of treatments and the facilities are amazing. I had read these 2 things in other reviews so no surprise: the great views are only to be seen as you cannot walk anywhere, which is pretty dissapointing. Double beds are actually 2 single beds and this impacts the comfort.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. I loved the relaxed, easygoing atmosphere and the spaciousness of the hotel. I absolutely loved the library - lovely to sit in to relax with the complimentary papers and a nice cup of coffee after breakfast. Or alternatively the lobby which is spacious, lovely to people watch. The bar food was excellent and bar staff could not be more helpful in all respects. They went the extra mile. My only grip, which actually was very annoying, was the lateness of the room cleaning staff. We went down for breakfast at 9 and didn't return to our room until 2.15 and the room was not done. We did not receive any change in towels and in fact there was still linen baskets left in the hallway when we were going down for dinner at 6 o'clock. I just don't understand why the room service staff did not get to us before 2.15 or why they still lingered on the floor so late into the day/evening.

It's negative I'm afraid as when we arrived we were put in room 205 which we were told later was an overflow room we were paying a rate of €170 and did not appreciate this but when I told reception that I did not like the room she immediately changed it for me to room 258 which then had no fridge for my husbands medication and when I asked for one I waited for more than 5 hous to get one this was a major inconvenience for us but luckily my friend had a fridge in his room which we used. As a result we won't be recommending your hotel to our friends. My husband works in hospitality and could have publicized your hotel to a great number of people it's unfortunate and I could go on but I'll let my friends speak for themselves as they have complaints aswell.

I have to say both myself and my Partner have a lovely weekend at the Mount Wolseley Hotel and Spa & Country Club. The staff in the Aaron Lounge where excellent as where in the Breakfast room. I would certainly recommend to friends / family. The only downfall I would have was the fact that the same entertainment was on both nights, same songs, etc...Excellent musician but would've like something new the following evening...

A perfect break for a family xmas treat. The choice of food in bar was a bit basic and the restaurant not really suitable for children. The bar has a relaxed atmosphere though.
