The luxurious 5-star Muckross Park Hotel and Cloisters Spa is located in Killarney's National Park. It offers elegant air-conditioned rooms, 2 fine dining restaurants, and an outdoor hot-tub. The Cloisters Spa Experience is available to all residents in the hotel. The award-winning spa includes The Vitality Pool and Thermal Area, which guests can access for free. A range of treatments are available at a charge. Cloisters Spa recently won a World Luxury Award as Best International Spa 2011. The 15-metre Vitality Pool boasts hot tub jets and thermal currents, and is only available to guests over 18. Deluxe, individually designed rooms have plush furnishings, bespoke furniture and luxurious fabrics. These spacious rooms feature satellite TVs, 24-hour room service and large bathrooms with separate baths and showers. Gourmet traditional Irish breakfasts are served each morning, whilst the award-winning GB Shawes and The Blue Pool restaurants serve fine European cuisine. Molly Darcy’s Traditional Irish Pub has beamed ceilings, open fires and regular live Irish music. Cocktails are served in the chic Monks bar with its deep leather couches and wood panelled walls. Clean, comfortable rooms. Friendly hotel staff. Great breakfast options for vegetarians. Having to pay 20 euro per person to use the pool!! Never heard the likes of it. I would have thought paying hotel guests were entitled to go for a swim without being charged 40 euro (for my boyfriend and I) for a few minutes.Definitely would not rate as 5 star - rooms quite small, didn't like the location either, literally at the side fo the road.

Hotel was lovely . staff always polite and helpful . Breakfast was lovely. Rooms were spacious. Perfect size for a small family. Just a few small things to say. We had booked a twin room but were given a double. We did not complain as it wasn't a major issue. On the round table there was glass that could slide around easily so was a bit dangerous especially for young children.Dinner menu could be improved.no bath mats.

Staff very friendly. Hotel in excellent condition and very comfortable. A plaque at the front door containing the name of one of the architects of our economic travails. On holidays I want a respite and not a reminder of the country's economic ills!!

The rooms were very spacious and tastefully decorated and the breakfast and dinner at gb Shaws was excellent. I was disappointed that there was no swimming pool that we could bring our baby to. One of the reasons I picked the hotel was because there was a pool, but I didn't realise that it was part of the spa and not for children.

Most of the staff were very friendly, down to earth and very helpful. Dining in Molly Darcy on Friday night I ordered the Classic Burger with french fries, my husband ordered the special, Loin of pork with mashed potatoes. My burger was burnt and inedible, I returned it and had it replaced with the Thai Prawns, which were very nice but by the time I received it my appetite had gone. My husband felt the pork was reheated and had severe indigestion during the night. The following night we tried to get into the main restaurant but were refused, the manager stated the restaurant was booked out and he did not want to overload the chef!!. The restaurant only had four diners in it, when we pointed this out and also explained about our disastrous meal in Molly Darcy's the previous night, he still refused to accommodate us even though we went back 3 times. We eventually ate in Molly Darcy's and when we came back through the main restaurant an hour later, it still looked empty. We challenged the manager again and he still maintained the restaurant was booked out. We really believed that as Muckross Park Hotel is a five star hotel we should have been accommodated and felt very let down.

I loved the quality and comfort of the hotel. The food and service was excellent. The room was fabulous and the hotel itself was impressive in appearance, I could see that the staff were proud of how they presented themselves and represented "The Muckross Park Hotel" I stayed with my partner for 2 nights b&b including 1 dinner for 398 Euro, My disappointment was that if we wanted to use the spa we would have to pay 20 euro each per day, which would amount to an extra 80 euro for our stay, I think this is an unreasonable extra charge, I stayed in Kilronan castle last year and there was no charge for the use of the infinity pool only a charge for any treatments which I believe to be fair and acceptable. I would use your hotel again, however I think you could benefit business in the spa by giving access to guests without a charge.

The staff were really friendly , ( genuine friendly , not fake friendly like in some hotels ) ,they honestly couldn't have been more helpful, the room was immaculate, the jacuzzi bath was amazing, almost didn't want to leave the room at all over the weekend, the food in molly darcys bar was delicious and was reasonably priced.

Receptionist and porter friendly on arrival. Location near national park very good Food in bar was excellent Breakfast was very nice We werent able to eat in restaurant. Only booking available was 9.30pm. Newspapers weren't an option available without having to ask. Very quiet but accept that it was early in the season. As a result lack of atmosphere.

Everyone was very helpful and nice and the amenities were very impressive. I wish we had stayed for longer! There was some confusion at breakfast because we thought we were to seat ourselves when in fact there was a queue. I think the dining room and servers were unusually busy, which may have explained why the confusion arose.

The best things of this hotel are the staff and the amazing spa. I recommend the hotel to anyone, especially if u like spa. Room are spotless and very comfy The location is a bit far away from the city. It is in a road.

I enjoyed the relaxed surroundings and comfort offered. The xmas decor was admirable and the breakfast was one of the best. The peace and quiet of the bedrooms - no outside or corridor noise!!! Was disappointed that Molly Darcy's pub did not have music provided in the bar as advertised.

The hospitality is second to none. The food is excellent. The staff are the best I have seen so far in any hotel have stayed both in Europe and America. The only thing was the tv set! They need to change their tv to flat screen to merge the past with present.

Price, location, ambiance, in the center of Kilarney Park, you can't get any better than this. We stayed midway through our travels through lreland and we needed a break from touring, so we stayed put for 2 whole luxurious days, I walked the park and my husband golfed, then we spent time in the spa! Ahhhh, is all I can say! 5 star at 4 star pricing! History, luxury, everything you could want in a hotel!
