Nice location for walking to restaurants, shops and the pier.
It was difficult to find and the lodge worker was unable to give directions. Also, parking was very difficult. Off-street parking was available, but only a subcompact vehicle can make it through the turns of the alleyway required to reach the parking. We had to pay to park on the street until free parking began for the weekend.
The service, the friendliness and attention of the waitress, Diane,at the breakfast was much appreciated
Location Price Staff
We had a downstairs room too close to the kitchen, so once breakfast started, we could hear everything. I would stay here again but I would try and get a room upstairs
good location, basic accommodation, clean, nice helpful staff, warm & good bed
some refurbishment required, no reading light on bed
Five minutes to town centre and to Dart Station. Nice quiet location in a comfortable house with excellent service and good food.
I liked location and price and the place was fairly clean..
You could hear everything the walls are paper thin. Are bed was pretty poor it was so noisy you were scared to move incase you woke someone up. And I didn't rate the breakfast at all
The staff were friendly and helpful. For an older buiding, it was very clean and warm. It was very centrally located and great value for money!
Perfectly nice cosy room with a very clean bathroom. The location is perfect. Very friendly people.
Some would consider the rooms a bit old fashioned, but in my opinion they are quite charming
Friendliness of staff, good location, clean lodge.
I did not like the Full Irish Breakfasts, The Sausages, Rashers, and hash browns lacking flavour. Also the toast was cut to thickly given out at breakfast. Also the shower did not work properly in my room No : 10. Barely any power from it.
Old and run down
Off- Street Parking. Diana was wonderful host, very accommodating and helpful
Excellent breakfast with orange juice various cereals and then a very good fried meal. There were different breads including Irish Soda bread
A very poor room without a chair so nowhere to put your clothes overnight .there was a wardrobe with hangars but they were only for dresses etc but no crossbar for trousers. Car parking; website shows yard but has a narrow entrance so not advised by surly staff.have to park on road@£1.50 an hour from 8 am. Room lit by the weakest electric bulbs so just gloom!
Wonderful location ...I walked down to the town and the harbour one evening, it's really near. Walking out along the pier is recommended. Staff very helpful.
Driving into the carpark is tricky, but at least they have one. I found the times for breakfast a bit late.
Very good reception. Comfortable, clean room.
Unfortunately I had to leave very early in the morning so did not participate in breakfast.
Good breakfast, generally very clean and tidy
Had a single room, ensuite was small,ok for me but larger people would find it very cramped.Would have been good to have a achair in the room,I felt one would have fitted in as the room was not that small.
the location near Amgen site
I cannot reduce price because I cannot have breakfast as I have to go to work too early
The hosts are very nice, rooms are tidy and comfortable.
Narrow turns to the car park
We needed a night in Dun Laoghaire for the ferry the next day. Mulgrave Lodge provided this. The breakfast fruitsalad was the best of all the B&Bs we stayed in on holiday. The street was quiet and we slept enough. We were lucky to get street parking close to the Lodge and on a Saturday so the charge carried us over the weekend.
The cost of 80 euro was beyond the standard of the room we were given - cramped, poor decorative state and a radiator with no control to turn it off. We were asked to pay before we had seen out room.
Too far outside of Dublin. Staff not knowledgeable about surrounding area.
Clean, good WiFi. Full private (small shower) bathroom.
Room size cramped. Euro- operated - no native Irish experience here.
We booked in here for our first night of our 3 wk long motorbike around Europe as it is very close to the port. Room was a good size, comfortable and clean.
We were met by a very grumpy lady who shouted at us for not observing the 9.30pm check-in (we were 15 mins late). We have toured throughout Ireland, uk and Europe for the past 4 years and never once have we experienced this "welcome", oftentimes we were hours late. The parking was dubious, after being hurriedly shown around the B&B the staff member showed me the parking out the back of the B&B and gave brief directions as to how to get to it from the street. We found it but there were no lights, the surface of the "road" was poor and we could not find the back of the B&B so we had to park the motorbike on the street. Unfortunately in the morning we were met with it lying on its side where obviously someone had tried to sit on it and it fell over. We will not be back.
Central to town so easy to walk there. Near to ferry port. Friendly & helpful staff Good breakfast.
Small rear room & en suite a bit dark. No chairs Car parking at rear can be difficult for large car.
The location was great for us. The facilities were all there. The staff were excellent, very friendly & helpful ( if not little overworked ).The room was excellent, clean & spacious. Breakfast was excellent but the Breakfast room ( like the parking ) was a tight fit. The ground floor could do with a face-lift.
Parking was a bit of a hassle. I knew the access was tight ( from the website ) but to get to the parking was not well signposted. I got vague directions and had to interpret where to go ( further down the road a bit, left up an alley , in around the back of a row of houses and then "guess" where ) as there was no sign to show you where to park.
Lovely staff, good breakfast. Very comfy bed. I'd recommend it to friends, but with caveats.
Crowded room, low water pressure, bit of a walk from everything.
