Nearly did what it says on the tin, The breakfast was great, Friendly staff
Ancient TV in the room with no Tv controls. Toilet flush mechanism failed during the night and my wife got her hand stuck in the cistern trying to fix it.I came to her rescue. No pressure on the shower head so I had to go without shower.
Location, food. Irish staff were very friendly.
Customer car park full on our arrival at 7.30pm, water temp in shower kept changing from boiling to cool by itself, room was roasting hot, very old TV in room.
Was nice and cozy hotel. Staff are very friendly. very clean and well maintained,Easy access to it.
One of the bedrooms faced the main road constant traffic not good after a night out on the hard stuff. The bar food menu could have a little more choice on it.
Hotel Food Bar Staff

i have stayed at this hotelbefore andagain ifound everthing about excellent. could not find afault with thenewbury and iwould highly recommend it to others
I have stayed at the Newbury on several occasion and I never get tired of the decor and location. I love the white bed linen and the comfort of the bed, the bathroom was spotless. I always recommend the Newbury as I feel it has an old world feel with 5 star comfort. Love the fact that the staff serve you breakfast werll up to midday they recognise that people get up late after a night out!!!!
My only grip on this occasion was that during breakfast the bar man began to sort out the bottles behind the bar... the noise of it was terrible but that said my head was hurting !!!
The food was nice
Extremely helpful staff, music in the bar that evening, highly recommended
The food was lovely and great value.
Location was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was served all day so it didn't matter if you were late down in the morning, they still allowed you breakfast.
Parking lot of very small so there was no room to park. One of the lamps in room did not work and handle from inside bathroom door was missing.
Bedroom Carpark - car safely locked in Location short walk from anywhere
poor shower - hard to get it right and then just as you did temp would change
Surprising quiet considering proximity to road and railroad. Secure carpark was also a bonus.
Bar food stopped at 7pm.
Guinness was lovely, staff were very good
Next to train station Good atmosphere Friendly staff Close to shopping centre Everything local
No shelf in bathroom No chair in room Not enough plug sockets
The staff were so friendly couldnt do enough to accommodate. would stay again
everything were ok,
The staff were lovely and the breakfast was tasty
Lack of entertainment in the hotel bar
Chinese in basement room was clean staff were nice and helpful
car park was very small and cramped
Location was good and staff were friendly. Breakfast was good.
A bit expensive for a noisy front room with sloping bed and dated TV
We decided to have breakfast up in the room the second morning. I got dressed and went down to the bar to order breakfast and bring it back up to the room. I was waiting approximately 15 mins at the bar before I was informed that a member of staff had to bring the breakfast up and I was then charged an additional €10.00. It was tacky and unprofessional as it was a quick buck which I would have had no problem paying for but left downstairs for that period of time and the room was not even cleaned the next day until someone came at approx 5pm in the evening when we were occupying the room
