I have stayed at the Newbury on several occasion and I never get tired of the decor and location. I love the white bed linen and the comfort of the bed, the bathroom was spotless. I always recommend the Newbury as I feel it has an old world feel with 5 star comfort. Love the fact that the staff serve you breakfast werll up to midday they recognise that people get up late after a night out!!!!
My only grip on this occasion was that during breakfast the bar man began to sort out the bottles behind the bar... the noise of it was terrible but that said my head was hurting !!!
The food was nice
Extremely helpful staff, music in the bar that evening, highly recommended
The food was lovely and great value.
Location was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was served all day so it didn't matter if you were late down in the morning, they still allowed you breakfast.
Parking lot of very small so there was no room to park. One of the lamps in room did not work and handle from inside bathroom door was missing.
Bedroom Carpark - car safely locked in Location short walk from anywhere
poor shower - hard to get it right and then just as you did temp would change
Surprising quiet considering proximity to road and railroad. Secure carpark was also a bonus.
Bar food stopped at 7pm.
Guinness was lovely, staff were very good
Next to train station Good atmosphere Friendly staff Close to shopping centre Everything local
No shelf in bathroom No chair in room Not enough plug sockets
The staff were so friendly couldnt do enough to accommodate. would stay again
everything were ok,
The staff were lovely and the breakfast was tasty
Lack of entertainment in the hotel bar
Chinese in basement room was clean staff were nice and helpful
car park was very small and cramped
Location was good and staff were friendly. Breakfast was good.
A bit expensive for a noisy front room with sloping bed and dated TV
We decided to have breakfast up in the room the second morning. I got dressed and went down to the bar to order breakfast and bring it back up to the room. I was waiting approximately 15 mins at the bar before I was informed that a member of staff had to bring the breakfast up and I was then charged an additional €10.00. It was tacky and unprofessional as it was a quick buck which I would have had no problem paying for but left downstairs for that period of time and the room was not even cleaned the next day until someone came at approx 5pm in the evening when we were occupying the room
Everything is right, all is Ok ...... Excelent for the money.
close to the town and the train station, Excellent breakfast, nice staff
super value for money.central location. excellent breakfast til 11 weekdays and midday weekends. big comfortable room.
no food after 7pm except w/e, although plenty of alternatives within 2 minutes walk. recommend Dominiks.
The location is great, and the rooms were clean.
The staff at check in were quite rude - no hello / welcome. We had pre-booked vegan breakfasts, and told it would be provided, however, on the morning of breakfast, nobody knew anything about it, and we were offered eggs... when we said that we don't eat eggs, we were given potato, mushroom, fried tomato and a hash brown... It would have been much better if they had just said that they didn't provide vegan breakfast, and we could have gone down town. They don't provide shampoos or anything in the bathroom, which for the price we paid, we had been expecting it. Receptionist in the morning didn't even say good morning when we said it to her, and receptionist at check out didn't ask how our stay was or anything. I actually kind of felt that as I was a booking.com guest, they had very little respect for me. They passed comment on the fact I had booked with booking.com several times. Was really, really disappointed. Expected a friendly place with a little charm. Didn't get it at all.
It was near the train station as I was traveling by train this was ideal
Great breakfast Clean room Helpful staff Owner hands on
Close to railway station without noise of trains intefering with sleep.
Comfortable beds, ok breakfast
1. Bathroom was not clean, hair on the floor and in the tub 2. carpet in the corner smelled with vomit 3. parking tiny, we had to park on the street as no spaces left 4. we paid 130EUR for 1 night - it is an absolute joke for such a poor hotel! 5. completely not recommended!!
Clean room, bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Most reasonable rates in Mullingar.... What more could you want!
Staff were friendly
Shower barely had any flow. Not what you expect for )€150 a night. Bed was not comfortable.
