Walking distance to Newgrange. Close to Donore village with restaurant and grcoeries.

The highlight was the staff who were really helpful and friendly and who freeted you on a first name basis every day.

It's cheap for what it has to offer. We were welcomed immediately and the host asked us if she wanted to book a tour for us since we were going to stay for just one night. Everyone there was very helpful. One has full access to the kitchen area and guests can help themselves at any time for some coffee. Living area so relaxing. Absolutely value for money! Highly recommended. It's a pity we stayed just one night.

Super close to Newgrange and Knowth. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was good. Heated floors in bathroom was great!l

The building is beautiful and very well located. There is a very handy self-catering kitchen for backpackers. Staff were lovely and helpful.

Nonexisting phonic insulation: you can hear absolutely everything in the corridors and nearby rooms, which was very disturbing. No working heating (a big problem when it's 3 degrees outside). Many small things were broken: the caps on the soap dispensers, toilet leaking, lamps with holes in their lampshades, the sink plugs...

The clean air by comparison to the city where I spend much time. It was a very welcome break. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff were also welcoming. It was clean and my room, I believe, was value for money. Thank you.

The fact I couldn't get the shower to work properly. I know I could have asked but I didn'T. No matter which way I turned the device on the shower I couldn't get hot water.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Newgrange Lodge. It was a great location and we were greeting by friendly staff. They were very helpful and guided us where to go in Dublin the next day. It was off season, but they tried to make it a warm and pleasant stay for us even though we were the only ones there.

The bathroom was not very clean. The overnight staff seemed uncomfortable for some reason, which was easy to pick up on. He was not unpleasant, but he wasn't at ease or overly friendly. Breakfast was not the best. They were unable to accommodate to gluten allergies, but to be fair, it was off season and we were the only ones staying there that night. Based on the other good service, I would assume they would accommodate if possible.

The couple who run the place, just fantastic. So welcoming. The laid back nature of it makes it feel so homely.

The warm welcome we always get at Newgrange Lodge is so amazing. The lodge is a home away from home. This place is a magnet for good conversation and interesting people. The rooms are hotel standard and extremely comfortable

I had to go home! I wish I had had more time to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere there.

Wonderful location near historical sites if on your way from Belfast to Dublin.

However I believe it to be the owner was less than welcoming to kids especially and us having our own self catering breakfast was a huge problem at 10.30 am .she was rude down right so. When she realised I was not pleased she felt guilty and offered my husband €5 as a bribe for the kids. No rooms service was carried out as we stayed 2 nights and the smell of nappies was not very nice, towels were very old.I Coulnt wait to get out of there and it a never again for me. Sorry! I was expecting a better standard I guess and an Irish hospitality.

We stayed the night prior to heading over to Newgrange. The place was acceptable, although as put together it had some missteps that would have benefitted guests - (examples are plank flooring that resonated people walking down the hallways--even if quiet and placing new flatscreens too high to get good resolution while lying in bed, water takesalmost5 minutes to get to hot water in our room.) But overall, it was a decent night's sleep and we met nice people. At the rate we paid it was okay, but not a bargain. Cleanliness was also acceptable.

OK, well nothing. We ended up staying at another B&B because they had someone already in their room that we booked that wanted to stay longer. The only good thing they did was find us another room. To me that was not good business. I have a guest house and would never do that to a new customer who booked, understandably the person who was there wanted to extend, but they should have honored our request.

The Hotel we stayed at because of over-booking was terrible. They had just installed new boilers and the place was a mess. They also were not taking customers but obviously they did this as a favor to Newgrange Lodge. The heating did not work right, the room was cold all night, and they were on the beach front and it was very cold indeed! Did not want to use the shower because it was so damned cold. So I could not recommend them because of the stunt they pulled. We needed to have a restful night since we were leaving for the Airport that very next morning. So consequently we were freezing and we left early just to get back in the car to get warm.

Layout of the Lodge was very nice, wheelchair friendly. Comfy bed!

As some-one who has no sense of direction it was hard to find. Stupid sat-nav did not help either!
