The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hostess helped us with directions and timing for the attractions. She also helped in getting a taxi arranged into the town and back. It was a lovely room with a pleasant day room for breakfast. Only the small complaint that the tv didn't work in our room but otherwise everything was perfect.

The house was beautiful, the room big, clean and confortable. The breakfast was amazing and the host was lovely The stairs on the way up, not great with a broken ankle

Very nice place, only a 5 minute drive away from the city centre of Kilkenny. Everything was clean. We 've got a little bottle of water every day and there was tea and coffee , and some biscuits, on the room. Very friendly host! Would recommend it. we liked everything.

Lovely stay, lovely breakfast and most of all lovely owners. Very helpful with lots of tips and even offered to drop us into Kilkenny the following morning if we needed. Would definitely recommend this B&B to friends.

Newlands Country House was delightful! From the lovely location to the gracious welcome to the cozy comfortable rooms to the yummy breakfast, the hosts made this a most memorable stay. Our only regret is that we didn't plan to stay longer! This is a fabulous B&B just minutes from the pubs and shops of Kilkenny. There is absolutely nothing not to love about Newlands Country House!

Very nice room: large, clean, bright, fittings and fixtures The owners were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was of a very good standard of comfort and cleanliness and the breakfasts were excellent.

What a great place to stay. Out of the city, but Taxi's were quick to respond and a fee of about 20 euros. Sure beats driving those skinny roads at night. Hosts were very gracious and the accomodations were beyond expectations.

We stared at Newlands for one night on a weekend break to Kilkenny and it was magnificent!! The room had a small fridge with little bottles of water which was a pleasant surprise. The tv had a dvd player which was fantastic as it was my boyfriends birthday and I got him some dvds so he watched some whilst I got ready and so passed the time brilliantly for him. We also got robes and slippers in the room, chocolate bars were left with the tea and coffee making facilities in the room for us, which was such a nice treat. The room was quite big and we had a big wardrobe and a long mirror, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was immaculate and good amount of space. The selection of food available for breakfast was excellent and the Owner could not have been more helpful and breakfast was superb. The location may not suit everyone but we loved it!! The property is about 4-5 miles from Kilkenny itself. but that suited us perfectly as we had a great night sleep and wanted somewhere just to relax. Looking out our room window we could see two horses in the field, the cutest biggest dog and loads of green fields. We loved this place!! Our stay at Newlands was too short-it was a fantastic place!!

Eamonn and Nicola are so friendly, helpful, hospitible and welcoming. Our room was delightful with all antique furniture. Spotlessly clean and cleaned for us everyday. Nicola gave us helpful suggestions and directions for visiting the sites around the area. She bent over backwards to meet our needs and to make our stay wonderful. If we get the opportunity to come back to Ireland, we are definitely staying at Newlands Country House again.

The owners were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was of a very good standard of comfort and cleanliness and the breakfasts were excellent. we were were satisfied with all aspects and have no hesitation in recommending the B&B.
