Beautiful B&B with a wonderful host, Theresa. Room was large, food was delicious, and Theresa went out of her way to contact us when I left my medication behind. She then sent it by overnight post to our next location! She could not have been more concerned or helpful. Also offered good advice on places to eat and visit in the area.
Not a thing.
The infectious zest for life of the hostess. Not having to decide on breakfast until we sat down in the morning and not being tied to a time.
Limited places to eat locally. Local restaurant very good but expensive if staying two nights. Price of b and b a little expensive compared to other stays during trip
We were greeted with a very warm welcome from our host who was able to advise us on places to eat relatively local to the accommodation.
A little too far out of Ardmore village.
Teresa was a great hostess. Rooms were very clean & comfortable. Breakfast had many choices and was also a good value. Very friendly staff.
Such a comfortable bed! Theresa the host is so welcoming and friendly. Would have loved to have stayed longer!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Newtown Farm Country House. Teresa was so friendly and helpful in recommending several beach and cliff walks as well as local restaurants, cafes, and arts/crafts shops for souvenir shopping. Our room was very comfortable with amazing views of her lush, gorgeous garden. The rooms were impeccably clean and had tea/coffee trays, wireless, and TV. Breakfast was delicious and we only wished we could have stayed longer!
The rooms are beautifully decorated. Views , if your windows are South facing are excellent. Breakfast offers multiple choices from crepes to porridge to eggs etc.. The best thing about Newtown Farm is the service. Teresa made restaurant reservations for me in The House a Michelin 1 star and her husband drove me there as the taxi service was busy. She also found me the best in local hiking and printed out maps and even called a guide for more information. Outstanding.
Walls between my room and the adjoining one was thin, leading to my sleep being slightly disturbed by returning guests. I had to change rooms as the first room had no wi-fi reception.
Breakfast was great, comfortable room and Teresa the owner is lovely
Teresa and Mossie were great hosts. We were travelling down from Dublin and got delayed in traffic. I rang ahead and there was no problem with a later arrival. We were given leeway the next morning with a later breakfast and Teresa had a wealth of information about the locality and what we should do. Great place. Would recommend. Free wifi also a bonus.
Best view and service.
Loved our welcome and the advice we were given. Everyone we met was welcoming including the other International guests inc those from USA, Switzerland, German, Dutch and of course Irish.
The water pressure on the shower could have been better.
The place was simply amazing. The rooms were comfortable with a lot of space. The bathrooms were very modern and the staff was so kind and considerate. The breakfast was delicious.
I can not come up with anything. I would stay there again.
The location The friendly helpful owner the beauty of the surroundings the bedroom was spacious with verandah and views
Comfortable beds, HUGE breakfast! Delightful hosts - altogether a really nice stay.
Overall very nice place to stay.
Little bit small room i have stayed in.
Beauty, comfort, charm and a whole bunch of farm animals - what could be better? And breakfast was fab!
a little remote but suited our desire to visit ardmore
Friendliest and location
Shower didn't work properly, temperature and pressure problems. Breakfast was basic, didn't reflect four star quality.
enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Meticulously maintained. Charming and cozy. A step back in time with all the modern conveniences. Very friendly and welcoming.
Location; hosts; ambiance; food;
Loved it all!!
Lovely onsite owner, very welcoming, organized dinner reservations, comfy room, great breakfast.
Host gave great pointers on things to see in the area. Breakfast was excellent and the room was very nice.
I travelled with my elderly mother and had a most delightful stay in Newtown Farmhouse Teresa and her husband Mossie were so welcoming and helpful. The room we stayed in had a beautiful view of Ardmore Bay. Our Breakfast was superb and I even got the recipe for Teresas brown bread!! Location suited us perfectly a few Km from The pretty seaside village of Ardmore and 15km from Dungarvan and Youghal. I would highly recommend this oasis for a base to explore the sunny south East and I will return.
Teresa the owner has created a first class place here. The decor is tastefull and relaxing, beautiful gardens, lovely sitting and dining room. Our room was spacious with plenty of storage and a lovely open view from the balcony. Breakfast was delicious, perfectly cooked and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.
Newtown Farm was a good base for us for a one night stay en route to Waterford airport. You need a car to find somewhere to eat. There is one decent restaurant in Ardmore 'Whitehorses' -it is small and gets very busy. You need to drive to Youghal but it's about 6 miles -A'Herne's is excellent but didn't see anywhere else we fancied.
Teresa, the lady of the house is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. She arranged a table for us at the Cliff House restaurant and gave us lots of information on local attractions on which she is very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the stay and left relaxed and feeling like we had a much longer holiday.
nothing - everything was great
