North Star Hotel & Premier Club Suites

Το ξενοδοχείο βρίσκεται σε κεντρικώτατο σημείο της πόλης και διευκολύνει ικανοποιητικά επισκέψεις με τα πόδια στο κέντρο της αγοράς και των αξιοθέατων. Με ενθουσίασαν οι Ιρλανδοί, όχι μόνο σαν φιλόξενοι αλλά πάρα πολύ εξυπηρετικοί άνθρωποι, με καλή καρδιά. Υπάρχει καλός συντονισμός και άριστη συνενόηση των εργαζομένων στο ξενοδοχείο για την επίλυση διαφόρων μικροπροβλημάτων και παραξηγήσεων που μπορεί να συμβούν, έτσι που να νοιώθουν οι επισκέπτες τελικά, σαν στο σπίτι τους, στην πατρίδα τους.

The hotel decore as well as the rooms themselves was wonderful. Simple and stylish. The common room is particularly amazing. The staff were extremely efficient and courteous. However, the proximity to the Connolly station, and hence the constant supply of taxis, as well as the Luas (tram), and the closeness of major shopping streets was the real gem. Also the science block of TCD can be easily reached within ten minutes, which was essential for my trip.

Not a gripe but it should be pointed out that the facade of the hotel is quite old and plain making what lies inside quite a surprise. Also the area itself is not bad but is quite close to areas which have a bad reputation. This is not a problem as long as one is attentive of ones surroundings.

The staff were friendly. there was a very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel.It was basic but very clean, which was the most important factor for me.

The hotel was on a busy road and across from Connolly train station. This menat there was quite a lot of noise. This did not bother me too much but might be a problem for others.

I stayed for one night only and found the hotel very convenient to train and bus stations. It was also very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were most courteous.

The first room we were given was a standard room, as booked although their idea of standard is what I would call "budget". The room was very tired, the walls were damp and generally just smelled musty and un-clean. We did move to a re-furbished room which was lovely, but for an extra charge of 30 euros per night - the pictures on booking.com are only for the newly refurbished rooms, and therefore do not create a true picture of the hotel.
