How comfortable the bed was Door being knocked on 15 minutes after 11.30am by staff and 5 minutes later again by a housekeeper saying she wanted the room now. We were not advised on check in that the check out time was 11.30 so we asumed it was noon.

I cant fault nothing about the North Star Hotel. The staff were absolutely great and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, cleaned everyday. Close to amenities and the main hub of Dublin Temple bar was walking distance. This is a very nice hotel and should i come back to Dublin again i will definetly be staying at this hotel again. 9/10 Fantastic Hotel. Most reccommended

Even though the hotel is next to a train station, we requested a quiet room away from this. Apart from the occasional muted rumblings, it was quite peaceful. The room (premier king) was beautiful, bed was ultra comfy and breakfast was very filling. The decor looks a bit drab in some main function rooms making the hotel look dark, but the bedrooms were tastefully done.

Excellent accommodation of a very high standard. Superior quality and comfort of the rooms, together with friendly and helpful staff, all helped to make our stay there one of the best memories of our trip.

the hotel has a great location and rooms are very comfortable. Our TV was not working and I rang the front desk to get help, this was around 11pm, the guy I was talking to was speeking so fast I could not understand him I asked him to repeat and I still could not get what he was saying. bit disappointing as this is my thrid time to stay the last time there was no remote for the TV......

Ideal location for getting around Dublin and access to Temple Bar area. Area around hotel was quite scruffy looking and not particularly inviting late at night.

Good location, had a quiet room to the back, air conditioning (though we didn't use it as we could sleep with window open) The ventilation in the bathroom didn't seem to work; shower a bit difficult to handle and adjust temperature (rather cheap device...); also cheapest available toilet paper...

A number of things: the shower did not work, they couldn't switch us out of our room until late night at which we were heading out so we were stuck with a broken shower. Its in the city, but outskirts of the city it was quite a walk to get to main street. Staff were rude. Did not have cots available if there was an extra person, they suggested buying a 69 euro bed for the night in a new room. wouldn't stay there again.

Nice bar attached to it with friendly staff. Room rate good for a city location Too much noise from trains, and doors banging early in the morning (due to the locking system which needs to be reviewed...I Also had to bang the door to make it lock)

the beds are so so comfortable. the evening food menu is awful, we ordered two pizza's and i have never encountered anything as bad as it before the "pizza" was soaked i can't even say soggy because it was beyond soggy. It was completely inedible and we went hungry rather than eat it. absolutely awful the worst i have ever encountered. I'd recommend the hotel just don't eat there at night

The Bar and restaurant are a disgrace. They are filthy and smelly and the furniture upholstery has been repaired with Duct Tape. The "Resident's Lounge" contains furniture that has seen better days and smells of urine. The bar of the residents lounge has a very limited stock and the porter who operates this facility was very unhelpful. Having returned from a concert at the O2 we could not get a drink because the stock was so small and limited. The "always available" duty manager was off duty at night. We were both unable to sleep as we both developed a rash and itch about an hour after going to bed. We left early and won't be going back. The photos of this hotel are grossly misleading.

I stayed here for 3 nights while doing exams. When I asked if I could checkout an hour late because of my last exam I was told I would be charged extra no consideration was given. It's the small things that make all the difference. I wont be staying here again and will not be recommending the place to anyone.

close to city centre, on-site valet parking-reasonable price, airport shuttle bus, helpful friendly staff, on-line discount Possibly requires signage in the lift, to indicate access to hotel front door via reception level is down 1 flight of stairs...and access to carpark only via ground via on lift
