Loved the free upgrade ( very kind) the 7th floor rooms are class.
Very clean and practical for business trip. I was given a free upgrade to a premier suite which was a nice surprise!
The breakfast room in the basement was hot, busy and stuffy
The location for us was great as we travelled to Dublin by train which was just across the street. The tram system was just opposite the hotel which was a great way to move around the city. The hotel staff where very helpful the hotel was clean and the decor was good. The small restaurant was good and had daily specials on every day of the week. We where upgraded to a suite which was lovely and spacious and had all we required. The breakfast in the morning was great loads of choice and everything you could want.
The shower in the room was not great and the force from it was poor. There didn't appear to be a fan operating when the shower was on and the room was very steamy.
We upgraded to the Premier suite with a balcony....The bed was amazing and we enjoyed a lovely drink on the balcony each evening!! Really did make the trip perfect.
Noise from the train outside our window
Good facilities, including restaurant.
Breakfast was a bit pricey.
Excellent air conditioning; good food and excellent service from on-site bar
Standard double rooms a touch on the small side; some noise from adjacent rooms
Stuff very helpful . Room very clean . Breakfast very good .bed very comfortable
The bathroom floor needs grouting very bad . Room and bathroom needs more light . Balcony tiles very bad condition . A long walk to the centre especially at night going back to hotel
Very comfortable, restaurant food was excellent as was breakfast. Lovely and clean bedrooms and well equipped bathrooms. Would stay again. A 15 main walk in to the centre, that said hotel is right beside the bus and tram station so not an issue
Excellent location close to the train station and only 15 minute walk from Grafton st and Templebar. Friendly staff and modern surroundings. Was upgraded and a lovely welcome note was in the room. Front of house staff particularly impressive.
The double bed was two singles pushed together. Bathroom had a leaking sink which I reported but it was not fixed during my stay.
Premier Suites are clean, updated, and the linens and bathrooms are very nice. There is a lovely lounge with continental breakfast served. I would highly recommend staying in these upper-floor rooms.
Lower level rooms were tired. Staff did not communicate about continental breakfast in lounge for Premier Suite Rooms. Also, if staying in the standard rooms, you need to purchase vouchers for breakfast room (if not included during your booking) at front desk prior to going to breakfast. This was not communicated to our party, and we showed up for breakfast without them. The manager of the restaurant was wonderful (and went to the front desk to purchase vouchers for our party) but this process could have been avoided with better communication. Immediate surrounding neighborhood of the hotel seems a little sketchy, although close walk to the Spire and the site-seeing transportation.
located close to town center. rooms were a good size. Didn't eat in hotel so can't comment on food. Staff were very helpful
railway line goes through hotel, so wan't able to open windows at night
Location. Price. Clean.
Service. We asked for ice. They said they didn't have any but would bring some up to our room. We never got it. I learned while checking out from another guest that there was a lounge upstairs that we could've used with snacks and waters but no one told us about it. The heat in our room didn't work. We were given a space heater but no one came to look at it the whole time we were there.
We were in a huge suite, comfy beds, quiet area, just off Talbot street, 5 min walk from the spire at O'Connell street.
No lift. Rooms a bit dated.
Staff, location, room, cocktails, bar, right across from Connolly station where the Luas stops.
Staff very friendly and very helpful beds very comfortable very close to the city , trains , buses x
Unfortunately, all which I saw of beds and mattresses were really poor, they were completely gone and passed the half of their lives, I couldn't sleep well, although I told them about this matter and they showed me others but they were similar or less. The bathroom, when I take a shower, much of water goes out from the bath to the floor.
Beautifully decorated hotel and food and drink great value for money, blonde girl on front dest was extremely helpful and happy to help, shame about other staff
Dark haired lady in a suit on front desk... Service with a smile wouldn't go a miss! Found her almost quite rude. Bar staff made you feel asif they were to busy to want to serve, and don't even dare ask for a drink that takes more efforf than needed! Shame really as hotel is lovely!
Comfiest bed we had on our trip! It was hard to get out of it!
There was no music in the gym and the sauna wasn't hot enough.
Very good room in good location. Restaurant served lovely food, friendly staff. Good breakfast.
The North Star was a nice place to stay. It was a bit costly for the area as it can be dangerous at night. The staff were lovely and the food was good
A bit pricey. I felt the area around the hotel could be dangerous to walk alone at night. Not the hotels fault but costly for the location
I was upgraded to a suite when I arrived. What a lovely surprise so a great stay!!!
Best place I've ever stayed amazing rooms amazing staff excellent
1. Poor room location, almost windowless 2. Really bad mattress. 3. A simple double room crammed with two extra beds. 4. No pressure at all in shower 5. Dirty looking linen and towels 6. Wifi poor reception, on -off 7. Overall many basics no up to mark 8. I am beginning to doubt if I can really get best rates and value from booking.com
Felt it was a little expensive for what you got
