North Star Hotel & Premier Club Suites  

I booked North Star through flash deal for a group of us going to concert in o2. All 6 of us couldn't fault it. Parking a little tight and they keep key overnight but good to have parking so close. It is next to luas, which e got on way to concert and only 15min walk hme. Only 10 min walk from o connell street. We ate quick dinner in bar, which was fine

It cost 7 euros to park the car overnight. Although the website clearly says that charges will apply there is no indication of what these will be. This makes it more difficult to compare prices with other competing hotels who provide free parking facilities.

We really enjoyed our stay at North Star Hotel. It is situated in the centre of Dublin, just opposite the train station and within walking distance from the Convention Centre and O'Connell street. It is close to lots of shops and supermarkets. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, and also multilingual (English, Chinese, French, Italian, Spanish, Romanian). The rooms are very spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Next time we visit Dublin, we'll stay at North Star Hotel again, as it is perfect.

Good for city centre.

No mention of proximity of trains on www site. Bathroom door and bed shook each time one passed by about 5 metres away!!

Very pleasant staff and good sized rooms

The hotel rooms were quite hot and very close to a railway.

The location of the hotel in relation to O'Connell Street and the O2 is very convenient. The room was lovely, very clean and comfy. The bed was also very comfortable to sleep in.

My only complaint was that the room was just too hot and we had no heat on at any time so I dont know why!!

Good value hotel, good customer service, great location

It was really great but my only complaint was the constant noise from the trains. The double glazing just did not keep out the constant noise day and night. They always seem to hoot their horn when entering the station. But the area was very central and the staff were excellent.

Noise from the trains but that is not the fault of the hotel but maybe they could put in triple glazing instead of double glazing. But all in all it was a the perfect hotel.

I stayed at this hotel on both legs of my trip to the U.S. The hotel offers a shuttle service (in conjunction with Paddywagon) to and from Dublin Airport several times a day, which was very handy for me. The hotel's location is fantastic and a couple of minutes walk from both Busaras (Bus Eireann) and Connolly Station (train) and five minutes walk or less to O'Connell Street. Rooms are comfortable and clean and have thermostats for controlling the heat and a/c (not something you'll always find in Irish hotels/B&B's). There is a well-equipped gym on the ground floor - the gym and the airport shuttle are the main reasons I chose the hotel but if I plan any future overnight trips to Dublin I would like to stay at this hotel. I've stayed in other Dublin City hotels in the past and North Star beats them all for location, service, and comfort.

A lift on the ground floor would have been a big help fot heavy luggage.
