leisure centre good and food excellent
fusty smell in corridors and bed not comfortable
Staff was very good, catered to every need. Best bartending staff in Ireland.
Wifi was very spotty. Only worked half the time.
Friendly efficient service....comfortable clean rooms.....excellent food......will return....could not fault it
I've stayed a few times but this will be my last. Our room was very cold with damp smell. I understand with recession but when paying €90 for room you expect quality for money. I had to ask for heating to be put on to wake up in the early hours to ask for it to be put on again. Overall it was very disappointing and uncomfortable and no one apologised when we explained which I found very unprofessional.
The room, so luxurious. lower floor room easy access, huge bed and soo comfy, genuinely friendly staff at wedding and in bars.
breakfast was chaotic and staff were rushed off their feet so there were delays with ordering b/fast and shortages with b/fast items.
On such a miserable night with rain and wind the hotel was warm and welcoming. It was a Tuesday night and we had an event in the hotel and decided to stay over, it was good value at €90 for a double room and breakfast - compared to weekend prices which I think are very overly priced. Our room was fabulous, a huge bed and very comfortable. The food at the event was superb and the house red wine was gorgeous and too easily drank :) The bar tender working the late shift in the residents bar, a middle-aged man was extremely friendly and accommodating. Finally the breakfast the following morning was tasty and plentiful and much needed after the red wine lol.
amazing restaurant, food was outstanding and not too expensive.
accommodation area smelled musty or damp, the rooms and décor a bit outdated looking.

We did not like the damp smell at the elevator and bottom of the stairs. Carpets in same area need replacement. Sort these out and everything is fine.
Arrived on Sunday late and could see it was busy in hotel. Nice hotel , family & couple friendly . Had dinner in restaurant and staff were friendly and one particular staff member should be commended for the attention he gave us and all around us . Used swimming pool area on the Monday - which is worth a visit during your stay . Have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions , business , lads golf weekend away and as a couple and never had a bad experience . So would recommend .
Excellent pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Most helpful staff. Had time whilst husband at meeting so played 9 holes of golf (shame about the rain!!!) after lingering swim. Excellent breakfast with lovely views of garden but because of very late arrival, we did not have an evening meal. A great break on way back from Dublin airport to the North. Would,do again
needs a little upgrade
Staff at breakfast were not efficient
Magnificent location Welcome and helpful attitude of Reception staff Sense of spaciousness in reception rooms, bar and bedroom
Pool/health centre and bedroom in need of update Lack of attention or repair to ill-fitting wardrobe door and blocked sink in bathroom.
good value for money, nice facilities,
Good quality food, friendly staff
Towels were lovely and soft and the supply of dressing gowns and slippers. Tea/Coffee facilities. Food at wedding was excellent. Beautiful surroundings.
Internet was very slow. No staff at reception when we were locked out of our room by accident. Information pack in the room was scribbled on and ink worn away. Needs to be updated. Very old fashioned. Would have preferred a duvet rather than itchy blankets. Hotel was like a maze.
Staff were excellent as was the food
The hotel itself is greatly in need of some repairs, dirty worn carpets, dead Mosquitos on the carpets and a bad smell of damp on the corridor to the room.
Good food, nice staff. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. Great pool
Great pool. Jacuzzi area is old and needs a little bit of tlc.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Homely furnishings. Good view from our room. Great spa facilities. Would definitely stay again.
The hotel is located in lovely parkland with a small lake and golf course. Spacious bedroom with a large comfortable bed. Pleasant friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good base for exploring this part of the country.
Public corridors should be upgraded and need attention. Old tube television in bedroom with poor reception. Main restaurant closed on Sunday evening.
girl on reception was lovely I think her name was Sandra.
we booked a double room and we got two single beds pushed together which was not very comfortable and by paying 150 for one night b+b I expected a double bed
Grounds Decor in and out Staff Food Cleanliness Amazing place for a wedding
Very hard bed Couldn't get WiFi in rooms Bathroom decor needs facelift
I thought the gardens were just beautiful I would have loved to stay for longer to see all the lovely flowers, trees and plants. The food in the restaurant was delicious.
I did'nt like the fact that the toilet had a very bad flush and the toilet roll kept falling off the holder also I didnt like the scented toilet rolls
Lovely spacious room with excellent view. Great food in Bar and for breakfast next day. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to young children
Hotel corridors a bit tired and dated, could do with fresh paint and carpet (however rooms themselves were lovely)
The facilities were great.. The children enjoyed the tree club, we thought it was a great idea and we got some time for ourselves.. The ducks by the lake did the job for our little toddler.. The spa experience was the best ever..
The bed were quite hard to our liking.. The good in the restaurant took ages to come.. 30 mins for a wrap and chips!! And way too dear...
