Value for money was exceptional.. first B&B i have seen offering €45 for double room inc breakfast.. The best was, they didnt cut any corners and it was as good as any B&B we stayed in.. good job!.. taxi to town was €7 but you can walk to Salthill in 5mins.. |

the location was the only redeeming factor found it to be a soulless inhospitable building and does not at all reflect anything of my knowledge and sense of what Irish hospitality is, or maybe this applies to this house only. |

The best thing about the Ocean Crest Guesthouse was the proximity to the prom and the sea view. |

Great location. Our room was lovely and quite spacious. Fantastic shower and good basic facilities. Breakfast was also nice as not too greasy our room above the laundrey was very very hot and the extractor fan did not work in the bathroom. |

Clean room, adequate size. The staff were a bit unhelpful, they couldn't even tell us the number of the bus or where the closest bus stop to town was. The bathrooms were tiny, smaller than a lot of hostels I've stayed in. It was also a little bit difficult to find, clear directions from the bus stop to the guest house on the booking sheet would be nice. It wasn't very far but as we didn't know where it was exactly as the streets are badly marked we had to carry our luggage around for about 45 minutes. |

Everything alright but blankets had stains and the beds were not very well made, so the tidiness can be improved. |

Good Hospitatility, made welcome,Rooms were clean and tidy.Guest house owner is Australian and certainly made us welcome. Yes some confusion over the cost I was notified by my e-mail it was 98 euros,in fact the owners bill was 108 euros, which i wasnt expecting.definetly some confusion.not overall impressed by the breakfast,it certainly wasnt an Irish breakfast, small but adequate, and no toast on offer, but i guess it was a Budget Guest House. |

Great location and a pleasant, short work to Galway city centre. We made a very great time of our stay in Galway, and enjoyed the beach/bay across the street - we made our own picnic on the rocks - despite the checkin & booking issues we experienced. I would recommend this B&B, but they need to calrify their room categories on the web. Unfortunately, our check-in and the attic room we were given was disappointing. We had to talk with 4 people (Peter, his wife, Mike, Thomas) - Peter/Mike insisted there were clearly 2 categories of attic rooms on the website (there were not - and I checked again, and there is still only one category.) We could "not have" an oceanview room and our "rate was for one of the back rooms". They need to offer two rates (5 euro higher/lower), and I would have gladly booked the oceanview to guarantee it, esp as this was a birthday surprise for my fiance. Also, our arrival at 2pm was "too early" (should be >=4pm) -- yet we missed getting an oceanview attic room because someone checked in at 1pm(!). Breakfast starting at 8:30am is much too late. |

Overlooking Galway Bay and its beaches, The White House is walking distance of Galway city, and just opposite the promenade. |
Just 5 minutes' walk from the very heart of Galway's city centre, Desota House offers free Wi-Fi, free on-site parking and comfortable en suite rooms with flat-screen TVs with cable channels. |
A charming, family-run guest house in a quiet area, with tea/coffee available in the lounge and a popular breakfast menu. Close to the city centre, beach, bars, promenade and restaurants. |
Renovated in October 2009, Amber Hill is a purpose-built B&B, near Salthill and the beaches of Galway Bay, 5 minutes' drive from the heart of Galway City. |
