Our hostess was friendly and welcoming and our room was comfortable and perfect for our needs. The location is very convenient to the ferry and there's a lovely pub within walking distance for an evening meal.
Everythng! Our hostess was so accommodating and the breakfast was delicious every day. Felt very safe and well cared for!
From the moment we arrived the owner was extremely helpful and went out of her way to make sure everything was ok for us. Would recommend to anyone that needs to travel to Rosslare and very easy to find.
Lovely friendly owner and lovely house in nice place
no negative comments the B & B was brill
very friendly people we had a restful night before travelling on the ferry next day.
On arrival there was nobody go greet us, after travelling for 4 hours we were quite tired and wanted to get settled in. When we called Kay she said she would be back in an hour!!! Bearing in mind my sister and I had two young children and practically in the middle of nowhere we found this to be very unprofessional and felt we had been mislead by the description promising a warm welcome on arrival when she did finally arrive there was no apology and no offer of tea and coffee. She asked if we would tea in the morning before we leave and we said yes but again we did not even get that and the worst thing is that she wasn't even busy so overall very very disappointed and will definitely not return!!!!
The fact that it was so close to the ferry port
Breakfast was outstanding !
Hostess buzzed so quickly from task to task, that we didn't feel particularly important. Basically "welcome," but no time to spare. I am sure she wanted to make the place perfect for us, and can't be in 2 places at once. However, it was a little off putting.
Safe. They picked us up at the station for a small fee.
It was difficult to find the accommodation in the dark. Google maps has the property on the main road, when in fact you have to turn left in the village and its on the left.
Arrived late, and as we hadn't eaten Kay made us some toasties, tea and cake - very much appreciated. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice of cereals etc. It was wonderful to find somewhere where we could have the dog with us.
It was perfect!
Kay welcomed us very heartwarming with cuppa tea and apple crumble. Her house and the rooms are very cosy and she also had in Mond that we Cole with a little doggy.
Poor wifi connection , the scweecs (noises)from the floor
The reception with the fire place which was switched off
I liked the warm welcome. The Hostess/Owner was very personable. Would stay at Orchard Lodge again, like a home from home.
When my ferry was cancelled within 24hours of my booking, how easily Kay let me change it without charge. Lovely, friendly welcome. Nice breakfast, tasty, freshly baked scones.
The Wi-fi was playing up the night we were there, but Kay did her best to get it sorted.
Kay is very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble for her. Her house is lovely: a real home from home, beautifully decorated for Christmas. The breakfast is enormous - and delicious! We have stayed here several times on our way to catch the ferry and are happy to keep going there. It is very convenient for nearby pubs for an evening meal.
It was easy to find after getting off the ferry - close to two good pubs and great breakfast.
Welcoming host, good communication, cake and tea on arrival and excellent breakfast. Comfy room.
Nothing really, no request was too big
Innkeeper Kay was absolutely fantastic. She was ready with a nice cup of tea after we'd arrived on the late ferry and made it to the B and B around 8pm. She gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner and she looked after our kids while we were packing up in the morning even though she was busy getting the rooms organised for the coming night - a great place to stay with very comfortable beds and an excellent breakfast!
Bed a little firm and initially cold for my wife but extra heating was provided. Dog had to stay in the room which is quite understandable but does restrict you a little.
Host and tea and cakes on arrival. Really well situated for the ferry and excellent breakfast provided as you like it. Welcomed the dog.
First class comfort and accommodation and the most friendly welcome. This is a 'must' for us any time we will travel this way in the future. Excellent breakfast. So handy from the ferry terminal - just opposite the first Pub in Ireland which does a tasty cod and chips.
Need numbers on doors. Someone tried our door twice when we were in bed
warm welcome ,tea and cake lovely on arrival ,nothing too much trouble for kay
Bed bit hard
Host efficient and friendly. Beautiful home made products and breakfast
friendliness , tea and cake on arrival, nothing was too much trouble for kay she was brilliant
