Location Staff Facilities
Could have done with some free milk and teabags - but that's asking a fair bit, and there was a shop literally 100 yards away...
The apartment was very spacious, two bedrooms, two bathrooms. Single beds in each room suited our girls weekend away. Kitchen equipment was more than adequate, good quality hairdryers the bedroom and outside balcony and furniture were very good quality. Very clean. Convenient to Temple Bar and City Centre.
Wifi was awful. Never really worked in the apartments Noise from the streets was insane between 2-4 am ever night. No lights walking from the hostel to apartments and it was scary at night
Location was perfect with everywhere we wanted to go in walking distance. The apartments were perfect for what we wanted. We were with another couple so 2 bathrooms was a bonus. Staff couldn't do more for you
we were delighted with the apartment , staff were friendly, apartment was clean and warm and the location perfect - will be telling all our friends about this gem in the middle of Dublin
Great location and view. Clean accomodation.
We sayed in a pent house suite. When we checked in and received a key we werent given directions how to reach the penthouse so spent time going up and down a lift till we went back down and were given instuctions. Clear instructions would have helpful.
Location great, you can walk to places in the centre, but you need to be aware that the noise from Temple Bar can permeate. Of course if you plan to be out late that won't be an issue!! There are 2 bedrooms and the one on the entrance side is quiet but that on the other side will pick up noise from the pub, so bear that in mind. I have marked it as excellent value for money which, if there are 4 of you, it would be. For two, probably average for the area but you get the space. The kitchen was amply equipped for our stay with a very large fridge although we were only doing our own breakfasts. There are plenty of small and larger supermarkets nearby. Airport bus stop nearby.
See noise point above which did not affect us as we were able to use the 2nd bedroom. The lack of the advertised wi-fi in the room was a pain, it was out for the 4 days of our stay. We were told we could go into a common area and use it there but that was not really the point. You want it in your own room.
We were at the penthouse apartment it was great , no noisy and you can have a good sleep. Free souvenir at the check in desk. Spacious enough for 4 adults. Excellent location.
location size of apartment 2 showers hairdryer balcony comfortable beds pristine towels
Freezing cold apartment no heaters in bedrooms worked and reception always cluttered with people from the hostel so made it difficult to complain as we would have waited at least 45 minutes to be seen
That it was very good location and easy to get around
Staff a little unhelpful and security wasn't the best
It was a great value. With 4 ladies, having two bathrooms was a real plus. The apartment was very roomy - living room, large dining area and a nice size kitchen.
Location, music, food
Noisy at night Bathroom with older
Location as it was very central to everything you can walk everywhere no need for taxis and buses. Dublin like any city is expensive so get the bus from the airport theres 2 tescos nearby the one on fleet street is nearer and better.
The cleanliness both bathrooms and showers were black and mouldy and the kitchen is tired and shabby but the cooker was revolting. We knew it was noisy but had no idea how loud it was and didnt stop till gone 4am. We were in the rooftop apartments neither the outside lights and security lights on the roof path to our room were working. One small towel each wasnt enough and the apartment wasnt cleaned in our four day stay or towels changed. More care and attention needs to paid to the little details. Whole apartment was very bare and shabby nothing like the photos. It is cheap though for Dublin so I guess you get what you pay but was a little let down and dissappointed about the standard of the place.
Location is great , the property is spotless as always . Love staying here.
Only that you have to book so far in advance but understandable .
We stayed in the Penthouse Apartments of this HUGE hostel and it was amazing. Everything seemed new, the apartment itself was quite spacious and the beds were featherly soft. Of course, being right in the middle of Temple Bar you're going to be surrounded by noise at night but hey, it's expected.
The location is the biggest selling point, right in Temple Bar and within walking distance of almost everything. Comfortable beds, good view from balcony, spacious dining & living rooms + kitchen. Good when travelling with friends for a weekend in Dublin, for example.
Despite it being on a 5th floor, can get quite noisy on weekends. A bit run down (sofas, furniture, floor, etc.) The reception, entrance, and only elevator (for 4 people max) are shared with a hostel. "Penthouse" is actually atop a parking garage and means one must cross to a different building from top floor of main hostel building. The hotel is not cheap and surrounding area is *extremely* expensive. I would not stay here again unless it was a weekend/party getaway type of trip.
As a group of girls celebrating a 40th birthday we couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The penthouse apartments were fantastic with beautiful views from the balcony. Will definitely be going back!!
beds were very comfortable, penthouse apartment was very quiet
mold in the shower
a charge was put against my debit card a week prior to stay and these fund were not put back onto my card until two days after we returned form our trip. We paid in cash full price on arrival.
location late night entertainment food available on site
nothing but quite pricey
This apartment was very spacious and I would stay there again. However, I was a little tired (tears in the chairs, showers a bit moldy) but the location was handy to everything from Temple Bar to Grafton St., Trinity College etc. There was room to sleep four comfortably and the kitchen was adequately equipped with all the essentials.
Showers were moldy in spots and sometimes could hear noise from adjacent hostel. The website made the place look a lot more fancy than it is.
Location was for visiting Temple Bar, Grafton St., and Johns' castle. The apartment was clean enough, with sufficient towels delivered each day, and all of the bedding was comfortable. The best part of the apartment was the large balcony. There were great views of all of Dublin. It was nice to have the space to spread out a bit.
I think the weekends would be too busy to enjoy the Temple Bar area.
Stayed June 2013. Resulting in a Re book.. And will stay again
It was so cute, had everything we needed and was close to walk to everything.
Loved it all.
The apartment was spacious and perfect for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is ideal and close to everything but the airport. The beds were comfortable and there were even 2 bathrooms.
It is also a youth hostel, and the lines at the desk are often long at certain points of the day. They do a good job balancing speed and helpfulness, but it still can be quite a wait.
