A very children-friendly place, but still classy and confortable for adults. Very efficient service in the reception and the bar.

I really like this hotel. I have stayed here before and chose to stay again on this trip. The staff are lovely the atmosphere is old world style and comfort, like staying in someones house!Oranmore is a great little village perfect for exploring the cliffs of Mohair etc.

The hotel is not near the city center, but near the very pretty village of Orranmore.

We were attending a wedding - food was excellent and so were the staff.

Bedroom was very hot - lighting not great and towels a bit on the small side.

Convenient, friendly staff

We both loved this hotel and would definetly return and recommend it to anyone. Everything was great from the food, the staff, the swimming pool and the bedroom we stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were all very friendly and we were always served with a smile.

Generally very good. Bedroom could have had heating on on arrival and in the mornings. At breakfast, Tea was in Coffee pots and Coffee in Tea pots on both days! But food was excellent. Enjoyable few days.

Just on the Decor....a touch run down. Im sure this will be attended to when things get better!

Not a very luxurious hotel, very basic, had to ask for a shower cap for the room no small little extras. Bedlinen clean but just plain white, not much atmosphere in the room. My daughter is 12 and was disappointed a lot of chlorine in the pool her eyes were very red after couple days in the pool

Had breakfast on first morning of stay and it was very poor quality and way too expensive @12.50 - the following day had breakfast at old mother hubbard on way home and this was far more reasonable @5.99 and tasted good

I think the question regarding classification of the hotel is difficult.The location is good for travel into Galway city by bus or in the car. There is not much of interest in the village of Oranmore, though there were one or two pubs and eating places. We stayed there for convenience as we went to Ireland for a family wedding which took place in Oranmore.We then used the hotel as a base while we drove around the local sights. It is unfortunate that the hotel is located between two small housing estates and the view from our room was a piece of derelict land and a distant view of the main road into Galway with its industrial estates. The trees that had once blocked that view had had to be cut down due to their growing into the overhead cables but when the curtains were drawn against the wind and rain, it ceased to matter as the hotel itself was lovely, and our room very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and though we did not use the leisure facilities due to my having a bad cold, we did notice that they were well used by local people.

Great location and nice hotel..reception staff brilliant however I was very annoyed at the hotel cleaning staff walking into my room bout an hour before checking out time and not even knocking at the door before entering,i think this was very rude and not even an apology from the them to make it worse...i am very disgusted....
