Once your driving its close to all the great things that are a must see in cork
Lots of noice downstairs because of a party, which is normal practice in the hotel during weekdays. This noice was making people in the rooms upstairs unable to sleep.
Good breakfast. Room service quick. Car parking onsite
bedroom key didn't work even changed it twice with reception. When let into room never got a replacement key (luckily inly staying 1 night).
Very professional staff in all areas. Helpful at all times.
Lighting in the big conference room unsuitable for presentations.
Excellent location, friendly staff, large rooms
Very nice leisure facilities. Breakfast delicious. VERY big bed!
Bar food was pricey, esp no budget evening meals
good sized roomed I liked having a separate shower in the bathroom.
it was cold in the communal areas specifically the reception area and the bar and as a result was not that inviting. cooked breakfast was a bit stingy with just one sausage a one bacon - other hotels we've stayed at offered a more generous breakfast. the hotels location was much further from Cork than I expected which was disappointing.
Paid for double room and got a double bed wen asked to be upgraded as I needed another bed because my son was coming on the 2 nd nite and it wasnt done for me. Staff at the bar and restaurant not very nice no manners
Everything great except for the lack of bar and restaurant staff. The guys and girls who are there are great, but overworked.
Waiting too long for order to be taken, then the food to be delivered and then for the bill. Not the fault if the staff that are there, but more need to be hired.
Dreadful cappuccino coffee, also dirty cup. Overall brilliant, super 2 nights.
The privacy and the quietness
The location of the hotel was excellent. Staff and facilities are very good.
Seating in the bar area is very limited.
Loved it all sitting outside n d seating area of the bar pure haven n enjoying a drink dining room lovely view n leisure centre was fab too as well as d rooms
Size of rooms and friendly staff
only staying one night
I experienced all the staff at reception during my stay friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent .I found the waiting staff at breakfast time friendly and helpful. I was running late wed. morning and the manager on wednesday morning, at breakfast time was very helpful and I was v grateful for his attention. The food at the bar was delicious we had a young lady on the wednesday night that was bubbly, friendly, professional and the latte with the heart shaped foam was creative and a lovely temperature. I think the staff had training that day . Enjoyed my experience.
Would be helpful to be able to pay with laser.
All of the above plus the food
Woken by a loud rumbling noise from my sleep and I could not settle back into it. Then it reacurred twice more. I was in room 239
Appearance and entrance Some very nice staff but some more sullen
Carpets need to be improved....taped together....very cold bedroom unable to heat. Food was poor.
Close to business
Restaurant food was poor for a 4 Star Hotel
The ambience in the Powder Keg Bar.
Our first mornings breakfast - everything was delivered to the table at the same time, the toast was soggy no crunch at all and cold by the time we wanted to eat it, the table wasn't cleared until we had left it, tea was stewed, all in all not a very pleasant experience, such a shame as your staff are so good.
Excellent breakfast, very comfortable room.
Had a fabulous time and staff were brilliant
Breakfast was excellent Room was spacious Free WiFi
A little bit far from the city centre, but excellent for Ballincollig
Large comfortable rooms. Free Wi-Fi in rooms. Location.
Dining room only open for dinner on Friday & Saturday. Service at breakfast was hit and miss.
I arrived early afternoon to check in and was allocated room 235. On returning to my room at 1am I was entertained by the disco downstairs for a few hours followed by the crash bang wallop of a few drunken fools on their way back to their rooms at 445am. It was, needless to say, not the relaxing night I had in mind.
